We had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin this past weekend. Your home is so beautiful and it was exactly what we needed to unwind and just enjoy the quiet and seclusion. It snowed as we drove up Sat early afternoon-- and then continued to snow the entire weekend--must've got about 6-8 inches!! It was just gorgeous. A completely perfect weekend retreat. Thank you again! We'll definitely be going back there soon...
Owner response:sounds like the snow was amazing. glad you indulged in it! we look forward to having you guys back.

This cabin is The perfect get away from all the hussle and bussle of city life. It is very clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could imagine. It was really nice to be able to bring our fury "kids" to such an amazing place without having to pay a fortune for pet deposits!

This weekend was the perfect time to just enjoy life, nature, peace and quiet... The small town community was fun to visit, and the people were friendly. The cabin itself was all we could have hoped for, and quickly became like a second home. This was a great way to just relax and indulge in the simple things. The beauty and conveniences were an awesome combination. As one local merchant shared, there is a blissful sigh as one passes over the threshold of our normal stresses and agendas and enters another way of life. Thank you, Gina and Russell for making this possible
Owner response:Thanks for sharing! I wondered if others felt the threshold We can feel it just driving up here knowing we will be in the peaceful beauty of pmc and the cabin. I'm here right now, packing to go home and feel like my battery pack is fully charged. Gina G (owner)

My husband and I got away for the weekend here and it was wonderful. A cozy cabin with beautiful, artistic touches that made it very warm and welcoming. I love using the handmade dishes and seeing photos and artwork by the owners. The way the cabin is built is really nice and keeps it very private though it is in a mountain community. It was easy to get to from Ventura. I think we found our new weekend get away spot!
Owner response:I so glad the pottery is appreciated. I had the opportunity to be a full time potter for 6 years and I have put my favorite pieces in the cabin. Thanks for the compliments. Gina G. :)

It was the best Memorial Day weekend we’ve ever had. The peaceful energy of this cabin was just what we needed. So soothing. The weather was perfect. On Saturday, it was 72 degrees and we enjoyed walking most of the waterfall trail with our dogs. And then the next morning, we were surprised and ecstatic to wake up to snow! We couldn’t believe our luck! A magical experience. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Owner response:Thank you for these beautiful words! It gave me the chills to read it. I open up my cabin to guests like you for the pure pleasure of hearing your stories. Thanks for sharing. I had a similar experience where i was at the cabin before winter. I was sunbathing out front and there was snow on the ground. :)! Pine Mountain has the most amazing weather! Thankful to be able to share it with you, Gina G (owner)

HELLO GINA AND RUSS ~ WE JUST GOT BACK FROM YOUR CABIN YESTERDAY AND WANT TO RETURN TODAY! OUR FAVORITE THING TO DO THERE WAS TO JUST "LISTEN TO THE QUIET", SOMETHING WE NEVER GET TO DO IN OUR BUSY LIVES. THE LISTING DESCRIPTION IS ACCURATE AND THE PHOTOS ARE GOOD BUT IN PERSON IS EVEN BETTER. THE CABIN IS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. AND YOU ARE VERY HELPFUL OWNERS. THANK YOU FOR NEVER TIRING OF MY QUESTIONS BEFORE WE EVEN LEFT HOME! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL TO A PLACE WITH MANY PERSONAL TOUCHES AND JUST BREATHE FRESH AIR IN THE PINES. THE ONLY DRAWBACK ABOUT OUR TRIP WAS THE TOWN. IT WAS TOO SMALL AND EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED!? BUT IT WASN'T A DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE WE GOT TO GO RIGHT BACK TO THE CABIN! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HAVEN WITH US, DEBBIE, ELAINE AND HAPPY =)
Owner response:What I love about this review is the word quiet! Yes it is. It was my pleasure to answer all you questions that is what we are all about. Coustomer service. Thanks for appreciating it! Gina G

We just spent a weekend at the cabin and it was wonderful! A very short drive to a place where you feel so far away. The cabin itself is gorgeous! The kitchen is a joy to cook in. We could have gone out, but we stayed in and cooked every meal. It was such a peaceful relaxing weekend. We will definitely be back!
Owner response:Its great to hear my guest enjoy the kitchen as much as i do. I never go out to eat when i'm at the cabin. There is something magical about the kitchen and how it opens up to the large front windows inviting the pine trees in. It makes you want to spend your time there. Its a proud moment to realize the theme of my reviews is the cabin and not the town. This is because the town is adorable. Very happy to be able to share our special cabin with so many appreciative guests. Gina G

The cabin and surrounding area is so quiet and peaceful. It is a very short drive from Santa Barbara, but we felt so far from home. We went up for the weekend and left the cabin only once to see the town. The cabin has absolutely everything you would need to have a quiet, relaxing vacation. You won't want to leave this place, I can't wait for the next visit!!!

Drawn to this cabin retreat by the gorgeous photos & colorful descriptions, we booked a 3-night stay for our family of four & our border collie... it did NOT disappoint!! With modern amenities such as Wi-fi, iPod dock with surround sound, board game collection, extensive DVD library (with stereo surround sound hooked up in the downstairs den/bedroom), beautiful kitchen stocked with amenities & cozy propane-run furnace, we had everything we needed for a peaceful stay with a few high-tech treats. Also, while booking the cabin, the owners were very responsive & helpful!! The photos shown do not lie - the cabin is just as lovely & beautiful in person. Also there are several homey touches - from the hand-crafted pottery to beautiful artwork adorning the walls, we felt more like we were staying in a luxury retreat than a mountain cabin. Because there was fresh snowfall, we spent most of our time taking short strolls in the neighborhood (too hard to hike the nearby trails with our young children) & sledding down the gentle slopes surrounding the cabin. We parked our car on Friday & didn't start it up again until we HAD to leave on Monday - it was a big luxury for our busy lives to stay put for so long & we soaked up every delicious moment! We look forward to a future stay at this cabin & plan to spread the word to family & friends!!
Owner response:One of my favorite things about our cabin is that I too park the car and don't use it till i go home. Someone just mentioned a pastrami sand. at the bistro in the greens. I may have to try that. :)

Nestled high in the mountains away from the hustle & bustle of daily life, this cabin provided our family of four (and our beloved border collie, Ripley) a much needed respite over the recent 3-day weekend. Not only is the cabin kid-friendly, it was clean & pet-friendly, too! We were hoping for snow during our stay & we got our wish!! With enough snow coating the gentle slopes surrounding the cabin, our two young children (ages 3 & 6) had a magical time sledding, building a mountain "snow bear" & staging snowball fights. All of this fun in a calm, tranquil environment was a blessing indeed! After hours of snowplay, we enjoyed every minute inside this deliciously cozy cabin. With an extensive DVD library, free Wi-fi, surround sound (which we used to pipe our favorite Pandora stations through the house) & a modern kitchen, we had no need to drive the car at all during our stay. The cabin itself is beautifully built - the interior well-designed & lovingly decorated. When it was time to go, the children did not want to leave! We're looking forward to another stay!

Hi Gina! We just got home about an hour ago from a glorious weekend in your cabin... we loved it! When we first arrived on Friday, it got a little icy about a block or so from the cabin, so we had to use our chains (an adventure in and of itself) but after that, we didn't drive all weekend - between the powdery snow, gentle slopes & awesome amenities, we didn't need to drive once during our 3-night stay. I'd have to say that two of our favorite treats were the sleds provided on the side of the house (saved us from blowing up inner tubes) & the sound system - our iPhones didn't work in the unit provided, but we grabbed a spare adaptor from the car & enjoyed Pandora throughout the cabin all weekend - perfecto!
Owner response:It seems like a common theme that the cars don't get used. I'm happy to see this info offered to my future guests. If you bring enough food, the cabin and the surrounding area is all you need to have an amazing vacation. thanks!

I absolutely love your cabin! It was stunning to see it as we drove up the mountain. The logs are beautiful and enormous. We felt so welcomed! As soon as we entered the cabin, we felt comfortable and at peace. The pot-belly stove is a lovely touch and a perfect and easy way to act as heater for the cabin. My friend and I were able to cook delicious meals in the beautiful kitchen space and use all of your hand made ceramic dishes. When I wanted to practice my yoga I went upto the loft for a while and felt so at peace looking out the windows facing the pine forest. The best part was when we woke up in the morning and were suprised with a light dusting of snow. I looked up at the skylight and couldn't believe my eyes. The snow was sprinkled and window panes and we were able to go for a nice walk before it melted in the afternoon. Thank you for taking such care to make your cabin the perfect oasis. It was an amazing getaway and we will definitely be back! :)
Owner response:beautiful comments! i especially resonated with yoga in the loft and waking up to the snow falling. two of my favorite things about time at the cabin. thanks for taking time to post your comment for my future guest. we look forward to having you back. gina g (owner)

If John Denver ever visited PMC he would of had a new #1 hit!!! Anyway... This place is my wife and I's favorite new vacation spot. We have been to this cabin twice now.. Once in July, January, and now have another few nights booked in Oct. Cant wait to see the fall up there!!! Being only an hour or so from L.A. makes it so convenient. They have a nice village center with a great General store.. I recommend using one of the member passes that are available at the door of the cabin and going over to the "Bistro on the greens" (golf course) for lunch and having one of there Pastrami sandwiches... mmmmm TOO GOOD !!!!
