Why the Owner Chose Charlevoix
There's no better confluence of clear water, waves, sandy beaches, rivers, woods and meadow anywhere in the country. This is Hemingway country and it only takes a day to see what America's most famous writer saw in the area. The town is small and compact but full of fun and activities. Its secluded and out of the way but easy to access and get around. Charlevoix is a great base to explore--wether on Lake Michigan Beaches, sailing or boating on Round Lake or Lake Charlevoix or just strolling through town.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Being in-town in Charlevoix brings us close to the action and the necessities without having to worry about putting in and taking out a dock every year. We are close to everything so you never have to get in your car. We don't even bring groceries with us when we come up because Oleson's is a fun walk down the block. But we can still hear the waves come in and feel the cool breeze and take a short walk to the beach 2 or 3 times a day then stroll downtown for a burger at the Villager Pub or the fireworks display over Round Lake or band performance at the newly remodeled band shell. The kids and the adults love the library which I tell people is one of the most beautiful public libraries in the country.

Wow! Your home in Charlevoix is in a perfect location! Daily, we would start our day by walking downtown for breakfast and then off to the beach! Your home has everything our family needed to make this one of our favorite vacations ever! We will return to your Blue Cottage! I would like you to know how much we appreciated the way you communicated with us!

great place to stay! our family stayed during the apple fest activities. this home is very close to everything in charlevoix...including the boat to beaver island. i recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice family vacation, or a quiet get away!

Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful home...the area is peaceful, tranquil and just a short walk to the beach or downtown Charlevoix. Everything was clean and well kept...if you're looking for a nice home with a great location, look no further, this is it! We enjoyed the beaches of Lake Michigan and the shopping in quaint downtown Charlevoix...everything is within walking distance! We've created some great family memories in Charlevoix and look forward to returning soon!
