This photo shows a favorite place to sit in the yard. I recovered completely from fibromyalgia by spending 1 month in this desert area, inspiring us to buy this house. The air quality, the mountains and endless sunshine make this place a haven for health and pleasure.
I love this house because it is open to the outdoors, has a backyard full of hummingbirds and birds of paradise and jasmine flowers. This location is a fabulous place to write and get out of the cold. Because of the 125 golf courses, weather, pool, spa and landscaping we look forward to retiring.

My wife and I have stayed at this property twice in the past 2 years, and I must say, we couldn't have been happier with it! We loved the privacy offered in the beautifully landscaped back yard, along with the pool and the hot tub! We also had another couple staying with us, so the private casida off the back of the house was a great way to accomodate them. Very open, spacious interior with ammenities that are modern and plenty. Great location too - just a short work from El Paseo, with breathtaking views of the mountains to capitivate you way there!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed in November '09 just before the pool and spa were remodeled and I'm sure that would have made our stay even more impressive. The location is unbeatable. Easy, almost perfectly flat, walk to El Paseo (Starbucks!) for my wife every morning. 4th bedroom is separate structure at end of pool for a more private guest room. Furnishings and finishes nice and clean but not luxurious (Linens/Bedding were very good). Master bath/shower is custom and noteworthy and overall a good remodel of an older home. Exterior space quite nice and privacy excellent. Mountain views and very lush tropical landscape. Peace and quiet unrivaled here. We have rented in the fancier/newer communities and consider this an excellent value and good trade for location versus age or style of property. We look forward to returning and would recommend the property.
Owner response:The pool is brand new as of January 2010 and is perfect with the surrounding landscaping which is 18 months old and has now achieved total privacy.. It is feeling more and more like Bali! We have upgraded the living room with new white leather sofas and new furnishings in the Casita...including a massage table and desk/office space.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
