Another wonderful stay at Beartooth. This time our daughter and her friends joined us. There was plenty of room for us all. We made the Upper loop of Yellowstone, visited Yellowstone's Grand Canyon and Mammoth Hot Springs. A bit of a drive but well worth it. We learned to fly fish (sort of learned!) and did the downhill mountain biking at Big Sky (even me, grandma, enjoyed it!) We ate several meals at Half Moon, La Luna, Huckaberries, Buggaboo and $7.00 beer & burgers at the Corral. Thanks again for the use of your comfortable and lovely home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our clan gathered from IL, MO, WY & WA. We laughed and relaxed and reestablished bonds in a scenic wonderland. We caught fish in the Gallatin a block away, took hikes and soaked in the hot tub. Most of us are escaping triple digit heat and high humidity of the places we left. We will remember the view from the picture windows and the brisk mornings forever. Our two dogs frolicked in the fenced back yard and chased ground squirrels. The big sky glowed with the Milky Way every night. We may return again and relive the joy we found here. If not this peaceful valley will remain a part of our very souls........Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a group of 11 that stayed at the Beartooth Vacation Home for a week...6 teenagers, 2 under 10 and 3 adults. The layout of the house was ideal and everyone was very pleased. The kids hung in the basement playing games, pool, darts and watching movies while the adults enjoyed the views from the living room windows. The shuttle service is right out the back yard and is very convenient and easy. The kids were able to come and go as they pleased with no problems. The entire transaction with the owners and other staff was extremely pleasant. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful home to others. We hope that others enjoy their stay as much as we did. Best ski trip ever!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Our stay at the Beartooth Lodge was everything we were hoping for on our family ski getaway weekend. It was a great place for large or small groups with a clean homey atmosphere. There was plenty of room for multiple families and multiple activities. The basement served as the teenage hideout while the adults enjoyed the comforts of the main living area. There was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable and relax with a short commute to the ski hill. Our next trip to Big Sky will definitely include the Beartooth Lodge.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family had a fabulous time during our week @ Big Sky! We skied four days- awesome snow and weather. Spent one day enjoying downtown Bozeman- lovely place to shop! Each evening we looked forward to our return to this cozy home. We cooked amazing dinners & relaxed in the hot tub each night. We leave with fond memories. Thank-you.Did you find this review helpful? A Fine Winter Week at Beartooth

My wife, I, our son, and his fiancée stayed at Beartooth for a week in January. My wife and I had never vacationed in the Bozeman or Big Sky area. Our son and his fiancée had been there before, and they forewarned us that we were in for a treat. How right they were. Winter splendor surrounded us—blue skies, green pines, and sparkling white snow. We especially enjoyed Lone Mountain Ranch, just minutes from Beartooth, where we cross country skied on some of the 85 kilometers of groomed trails that wove through tall, snow-covered pine. One evening, the highlight of the week, from the Lone Pine Lodge we were transported on horse-drawn sleigh to a remote cabin where we feasted on prime rib cooked on an old fashioned stove. Beartooth was perfect for our stay—cozy when we gathered by the fire to play cribbage and watch movies, yet spacious enough to allow us each of us plenty of room and privacy. A comfortable dining area, too, for our meals. We also appreciated Beartooth’s location, just minutes from the ski hills, restaurants, and shops. And on a winter trip, what a treat to be able to park our car in a garage. All in all, a wonderful lodge in a magnificent area. We would highly recommend Beartooth and look forward to a return visit soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I went to Big Sky with 2 of my daughters and a friend's family over spring break! We had an amazing time. The house was immaculate upon our arrival and very 'warm' feeling. It was huge and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The views were breathtaking! We used the kitchen and grill for almost every meal and had everything we needed. The hot tub was sooo relaxing after long days on the slopes, too (It was also clean and well maintained). The owners were extremely helpful and accomodating to our needs. The kids also took advantage of shopping in Meadow Village, horse trail rides (local) and hiking. The house had a great binder/folder put together with all the local activities/numbers, etc. This was really helpful. We skied both Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. I would recommend getting the equipment at the local shop before heading up the mt (10 minute drive). The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! We stopped at Costo in Bozeman for our food supplies. Would recommend this (or similar) as not many local options and the few there are spendy. Yellowstone is only 30 miles away and am looking forward to returning to Beartooth in the summer/early fall to take advantage of that and the sapphire mines that are local to the area. I would also consider bringing my dog along next time. The back yard is totally gated in and he would have plenty of room to run and play.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We're wrapping up an unforgettable week here at Big Sky. Ten of us gathered here this week & enjoyed every minute of it. We skied hard at both Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. Both beautiful, especially our day at Big Sky with 6 inches of fresh snow. We also went up the snow mobile trail & had a blast ripping up the powder fields. We all even got to relax a bit & your comfortable home helped. The hot tub is great. We made several fabulous meals in your well equiped kitchen, & I think we all had enough space! We had a great time here in Big Sky & look forward to coming back! Thanks again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is our 8th year coming to Big Sky for Spring Break and this is by far the best place we have stayed. Having 2 living rooms (upstairs and downstairs) was so wonderful and the pool table and basketball hoop kept the kids off video games 24/7. Nice! The ski conditions were fabulous this year-even got our 4 year old niece on the slopes for her first time. She loved it. We will definitely choose Beartooth Lodge next year if you'll have us. Thank-you so much! Perfect stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: My husband & I were married in 2007. We are a blended family of 6 Children, age 14-30. 2 are married, giving us 3 adorable grandchildren. We also have 2 dogs and 1 cat. Beartooth is the perfect home to accommodate all of us. And the Big Sky area has something for everyone.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
Living in MN, it is nice to be able to drive to Big Sky in a day. Our family has enjoyed the wonders of Montana for years. Ranging from annual ski trips to visiting our daughter at college in Bozeman. This area has been a large part of our lives. Our vacation home is the best location in the Big Sky area to experience all it has to offer. It is minutes from Big Sky & Moonlight Basin ski resorts, the local golf courses, Yellow stone National Park, Gallatin River, and 100's of hiking trails. We enjoy sight seeing at Yellow Stone,(especially the wild animal sightings),cross country skiing, hiking, playing tennis, walking the dogs on the bike path, white water rafting, soaking in the local hot springs, snowmobiling in the mountains surrounding our house, fly fishing just a short walk away, zip lining, And especially going out to the many local bars & restaurants for the good food, friendly people and live music. The Meadows Village area also has great shopping, out door band concerts, food, film & art festivals that we love to attend. A movie theater and Ice Skating rink have also recently been added. There is always something for everyone each season in Big Sky.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Of course the greatest benefit to owning Beartooth is that it comfortably sleeps 13 people. With 4 bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms, The 2 large living areas are also nice for numerous activities to be going on at the same time. The pool table is great for all ages. We do enjoy having 3 TV's with all the movie & sports channels, especially on those cold winter nights sitting all cozy by the fire place. And the fully equipped kitchen is so nice on evenings when you just don't feel like going out. Our family tradition is playing various card games around the large dining room table after dinner. They tend to get pretty lively and it is a wonderful bonding time for all of us.
We recently updated the backyard by adding the hot tub and patio with the fire pit. After a long day of skiing or other numerous summer outdoor activities, soaking in the hot tub is a wonderful way to relax, and the star gazing is amazing. We also fenced in the large backyard which is great for the dogs and small children. The yard is large enough for friendly Badminton games, and the tennis court, kiddie park and soccer fields are only a block away.
The summer evenings in Big Sky are the best, the day cools off, the sun sets late and we all can go out and enjoy the many activities right in our own backyard and neighborhood.
Make sure you don't miss the sunsets over the Ramshorm Mountain range, they are spectacular!
