Map & Owner's Profile
Vail Lodging, Cozy Living Area for Family & Friends to Gather
Year Purchased: 1992
Why the Owner Chose Other Vail Properties
Vail is less than a two-hour drive from Denver where we live and have raised our children. The home is just over a mile to the entrance to Beaver Creek and an 8-minute drive to Vail. The view from the two large picture windows is a serene mountain meadow and a lush hillside. The home sits among the finest ski areas in the world (Copper Mountain-30 min., Keystone-45 minutes, Aspen-1 1/2hr., Steamboat).
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
During ski season we enjoy our coffee in the morning while watching the snow fall on the meadow and trees. The usual topic of conversation is which award winning mountain to ski that day! After a day on the slopes, the kids sled out back as we relax in the hot tubs in the athletic club.
Leave your car in one of the FREE parking lots west of the entrance to BC and ride a bus to the skier drop off. The mountain & ticket center is a short walk through the village.
#1 BEST KEPT SECRET! Drive to covered prkg in less than 10 min.(same price as Lionshead & Vail prkg structures), walk down a short path, purchase lift tickets and you're on the mountain in seconds!
Newly remodeled, the Village offers a gondola up the mountain as well as dining in the square. At the top is Adventure Ridge - a definite for the kids any time after 2 pm!
Park here and enjoy the Village. Access to the mountain is through the Covered Bridge and an array of wonderful shops. You can purchase lift tickets at the base.
All though this is the furthest ski school to the east, it is the most accessible and the lodge at the base offers great amenities as the family gathers before or after a day on the slopes.
Owner's Map of Other Vail Properties
We've been skiing and hiking in the Rockies for over 40 years. When owning a second home in the mountains became possible, we knew immediately it had to be in the Vail Valley.

This condo is just about perfect, especially if there are more than 6 in your group. We volunteer for the Men's Alpine World Cup in late Nov each year and find the accommodations ideal. Each bedroom has it's own full bath, kitchen is large as well as dinning and living room areas. Plenty of room for all to spread out. There's even a garage. Location setting is beautiful and it is close to Avon and Beaver Creek Resorts.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have stayed here with family and friends since 2003. It is spacious and allows the cooks to interact with the rest of the clan due to the openness of the kitchen and living room areas. We love staying here and taking a dip in the jacuzzi afte a day of skiing. Closeness to the slopes is also great!

We stayed for 2 weeks and found the home to be perfect. We had 4 adults and m 4 children (ages 5-12). The kitchen was well stocked (the first place in years for us) which just made our stay so much more pleasent. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the supply of games and sleds. We did have trouble getting in the garage with my Expedition because of the angle/clearance, but there was plenty of non-garage parking to use. If we plan to return to the Vail area next year I will definately rent this townhome again!!

Well I though Whistler was one of the best places to ski and stay! I have now found i love Vail and this place we rented was amazing and held our entire "extended" family. Very cozy and warm and all the amenities. Close to ski hill and beautiful backdrop where this place nestles up to the mountains. 10 out of 10. I'll BE BACK. Morgan

We call this, "Camp Woods." The condo is perfect for families and visitors. We love entertaining out on the deck in the summer. The bedrooms are quite large and very comfortable. Great views of the nearby woods. Very convenient to Avon, Vail, & Edwards.
Owner response:They have been summer renters for over 7 years!

We are volunteers for the World Cup ski races at Beaver Creek and have stayed at this property in 2006/07/08. And, we plan to stay again this year. There are seven of us and the set-up is perfect - 10 minutes fron the ski area parking lot and close to shops and restaurants. The house is beautifully furnished and each of the four bedrooms has it's own bathroom. The combination kitchen, dining and living room areas are very roomy and perfect for relaxation after a tiring day on the slopes. We've been volunteering for the races since 2002 and feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful accomodation.

Our first stay here was in the winter of 2000 and have been back several times. Wonderful large living room to enjoy with friends around the fire after a good soak in the hot tub after hitting the slopes. Nice open kitchen to the living space and well stocked to cook for a crowd.

Such a wonderful setting - golf course in front, wilderness in the back. The south window view is so lush and green in the summer. A special place to recharge batteries and ignore the phone!
