  My family arrived here for a 3 day stay. Very relaxing. The owner was amazing for fixing a small problem. The stars out here are just to die for. Living in a city I only see a few. I suggest going to the loft door at night and sitting out there for a while. We had so much fun and if in the area again.. Definitely! Sure did beat staying in a small hotel room.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This cabin was far from being a clean place; every surface was not only dusty but had older stains as well. Except for one single window, non of the windows were screened; we were unable to catch a cool breeze at night as there were all kinds of flying insects attracted to the light in the cabin. The cooler was out of operation; oh...and then there was the bedframe that broke while we sat on it. We were disappointed but decided to stay because the owner granted a discount. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes cleanliness or the comfort of a cool place....at best it was a step up from camping.

  Owner response: These people are scammers, I offered a full refund, so they could find a place more suitable they wouldn't leave! complained about the hot tub, was told "wasn't planing on using it anyway" They broke a chair along with the bed that was iron, it did not " fall apart" and it wasn't hot it was a perfect spring desert weekend

  We stayed here in April and I can't wait to book again for October. We are a couple with a dog and we recently discovered VRBO. This is my favorite of the places we've gone. It's a 2 acre fenced ranch, which our dog enjoyed a little too much (it is not advised to let them roam unsupervised in the desert). Particularly enjoyable were the multiple outside seating/lounge chairs, and indoors especially the chaise in front of the big sliding glass doors and view south. It is within view of the 29 Palms airport, which had hardly any traffic, and booming distance from the Marine Base. We like things quiet; both of these things just added to the charm. Place is very clean and well stocked (we do bring our own kitchen cooking items like oil and tin foil). We had every kind of weather imaginable in a week. Owners were responsive and easy to work with. Easy to get to Joshua Tree, though note that dogs are ONLY allowed on paved or dirt roads in all of the park, no trails, since their scent scares away the Bighorn Sheep. Recommend Twentynine Palms Inn for dinner -- call ahead to get a table outside at the pool. And definitely check out the drive-in movie theatre!

  We stayed here for a month before moving into our home in Twentynine Palms. What a wonderful welcome to the high desert life! The kids loved playing in the large yard chasing lizards and we enjoyed relaxing under the stars at night. The owners kept the property clean, well stocked and were very accomodating and helpful. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for an escape from big city life!

  I enjoyed my stay at El Paseo Ranch very much. I am an amateur astronomer and the elevated deck in the photo was the main attraction for me, and it worked out great. The night sky is incredible. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I'm looking forward to a return stay. Thank you.

  We have stayed in this rental 3 times. Everytime it has been wonderful. The location is good. The house is always clean and tidy and we always enjoy the beauty of the desert.
