Had a wonderful holiday on Isla Mujeres and loved Ixchel 709. Beautiful condo with the absolute best views on the entire island. You will not be disappointed if you stay here; it's great! Also, the staff at Ixchel were wonderful. Thanks Donna & Mark for sharing your wonderful condo with me!

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway.

This unit is amazing. The view is gorgeous. The apartment itself is nicely decorated. And because it's at the end of the building, right on the ocean, you almost feel that you're there alone. We nicknamed this place the "On Top of the World" suite. There's a jacuzzi hot tub on the balcony that's situated so that you can admire the ocean views while you're inside. At night you can admire the starry sky. Mark and Donna, the owners, are super friendly and responsive. In sum, everything about this place is first rate. Couldn't be happier!!

We stayed in PH 709 for 7 nights at the beginning of February 2010. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The unit accommodated our needs extremely well. The balcony was outstanding and the views could not be beat - looking west to the coast of Cancun and east to the Caribbean on the other side of the island. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials (but we never cooked due to all the wonderful restaurants on the island). The staff was very friendly and responsive to any requests we made. ComoNo was great for a late morning breakfast break from the beach. The owners made renting this condo very easy. They were available via email for our questions as we were planning our trip. Donna gave wonderful recommendations for things to do on the island and places to eat.

I stayed in PH 709 in Oct. 2009. I can't say enough great things about this condo. It is decorated beautifully. The king size bed is unbelievably comfortable. The condo staff is very friendly and helpful. But best of all was the view from the huge wrap around balcony. Not to be missed! In short - best place I've ever stayed.

Beautiful view, large patio, all the amenities one could wish for, PH709 has it all. Nicest place I've experienced. It even has an ipod dock/player. Management was friendly and helpful, great beach, nice pool, great margaritas and guacamole at the snack bar. Close to everything, restaurants, shopping, etc. You might want to bring your own coffee as the grocery store only carries instant. Condo does provide some coffee. Decor of condo very nice - lots of art and nice touches.

Amazing!! I have to say that this was by far one of the best vacations we've been on. We booked are room (Penthouse#709) through VRBO. The owners made our life so easy. They responded quickly and answered our numersous questions and then some. They promised us we would have an amazing time and did we ever. The room was so clean and comfortable it was almost hard to leave, and the view from the balcony has to be the best on the island. Its very rare to find a vacation rental that actually delivers what it promises; the room, the staff, the beach, and the town delivered so much more than we could have ever asked for.

Awesome Awesome Awesome! There is no better view on the island than the one you get from room 709! I've seen sunsets, but nothing beat watching a sunset from our hot tub on the wrap around balcony of the 7th story penthouse after a long day in the sun. The interior is equally as relaxing with it's modern furnishings, big screen TV's in the living room and bedroom, and pillow top mattress that hugs you while you sleep. My girlfriend and I are planning to go back next year!

We found Ixchel 709 to be the best vacation location we've ever visited. The views are awsome, the privacy was very romantic and the amenities were great. We plan to go back every year and will highly recommend it to all of our friends and family.

This was our 1st trip to Isla Mujeres and we have decided to make this our new vacation destination year after year. We have also decided that we will ONLY stay at Penthouse 709 when we visit Isla. What can we say? There is not enough space on this comment site for all that we have to say! After a hot and tiring day of travel, we arrived at our Ixchel condo. The hotel staff was ready to greet us and take us to our penthouse. What a joy to enter a home that is more beautiful than the pictures on the website! It surpassed everything that we had expected of it. Spacious, cool and clean. Top amenities. Comfortable furniture and extremely comfortable bed. Excellent A/C and excellent hot water showers. Amazing views from every room in the home. We spent a great deal of time on our balcony. We were mesmerized by the ocean and beach view day after day after day! Sunrises and sunsets! The weather was quite warm and humid while we were there and the one thing we knew at the end of a good day of swimming or snorkelling or exploring the Isla was that we had this wonderful, clean, cool and beautiful penthouse to come back to! The Isla is beautiful and its' people and geography will bring us back year after year. The penthouse will be our place to stay while in Isla. We cannot say enough about the hotel staff: Daniel, Geovanny and Maggie plus countless others. Thank you Mark and Donna for a wonderful adventure. Thank you for the bottle of wine (it was delicious!) and birthday card that was waiting for me upon our arrival. We have found our new paradise and can't wait to return. We are hoping to come back in April 2010. We think about Isla and the penthouse every day since we left. Cannot get it out of our minds!

Ixchel #709 was a fortunate find for us. We brought our 17 year old daughter on her Spring Break, 3/09, and it was a wonderful and restful vacation. The unit was just right for us; our daughter was very comfortable using the futon in the living room and having her own half bath. The master was comfortable for us. Unit 709 is decorated handsomely and maintained well. The hotel service was responsive and friendly. The wrap around balcony with its awesome views and comfortable seating makes this the best unit in the complex as far as we are concerned. The owner was responsive and helpful in a number of ways. We have traveled fairly extensively and we recommend not only 709 but Isla as a great getaway.

We have returned from our second spectacular seven day vacation at your oceanfront penthouse. We are as happy, if not moreso, than we were last year at this time. Again we loved the view, the accomodations (especially your new additions in the bedroom and on the balcony), the service staff, the expansion of Comono, and, most assuredly, the weather. Staying in PH 709 on Isla is about as close to heaven as we can imagine! We are already dreaming about returning next year- perhaps even for ten days. Hasta luego.

We stayed in PH709 for 5 nights early in January 2009. This place is amazing. The outdoor living space & views of the sea are to die for. The patio furniture is top quality and very comfortable. The hot tub is great for the evenings, watching the stars and enjoying a glass of wine. This unit has a very private patio, much more so than the other penthouse units. The interior is also very nice with the extra half bath. We hope to return and rent from Donna again in the future!

Ixchel 709 is one of the nicest properties on the entire Isla Mujeres. The view is phenomenal and the interior feels so much like home you won't want to leave! We really appreciated having the privacy of the sunny balcony; our favourite place to lay and read after playing in the ocean. And the jacuzzi IS the best place to enjoy the sunset (make sure you have the cover on and have the heat on for a few hours before you want to get in though). The Ixchel staff were fabulous. We'd recommend booking any tours through them rather than through the tour people in town. The Comono restaurants (both at the Hotel and in town) have the best vegetarian food on the island. If our travels bring us back to this part of Mexico, we would definitely stay here again.

Ixchel Penthouse Unit 709 exceeded our expectations! My husband and I loved everything about it, especially the large balcony with unobstructed views of the island and sea. The location is so convenient and is within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and tiendas. When we go back to Isla, we denfinitely want to stay in this unit again!

PH 709 is the perfect place on the perfect island for a perfect vacation! The views from the balcony have got to be the best anywhere on the Island!
