Traveler's Rest Mountain Cabin is an open, airy retreat for those who love nature, the mountains, and casual living. Built as a quality primary residence, not a rental property, this square-cut cedar cabin has antique furniture, an extensive library, a gourmet kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, satellite TV, high-speed wireless internet throughout the house, and free long distance calling within the US.

There is also a large, covered, front porch set above the spring-fed trout pond, with oversized rockers, bird feeders, and an outdoor dining table for a breakfast spent watching the hummingbirds feed, or for enjoying a candlelit dinner amid the sounds of the spring-water and clear skies of the mountains.
A ten minute walk down the hollow will take you to the local craft, fruit and veggie stand. Downtown Banner Elk with it's wonderful array of quality eateries, coffee shops, public parks, Lee's-McRae College, and shopping is two miles from Traveler's Rest.
