Located near boating, fishing, state game lands, and great Northeast PA towns, this private log cabin is just a few years old and sits on 5 heavily wooded, very private acres. The property has its own 25 acre pond which is just a short walk down our wooded trail. Duck Harbor Pond (a 125 acre glacial lake) is a 2 minutes drive (within walking distance)and has great public access fishing and allows motorboats and water skiing. The property borders PA state game lands. You may use our small row boat (on the our pond or the lake) or bring your own larger craft.
The cabin features an open floor plan with a great room and full hearth fireplace and kitchen downstairs. Two bedrooms and a full bath are also downstairs. The master bedroom sits above the great room and has its own bathroom and a sofa sitting area. The cabin is newly and nicely furnished and has a completely finished basement with a washer/dryer and queen size pull out sofa.
There is a lot to do and see in the Endless Mountain area of Northeast Pa. You are about 25 minutes from Elk Mountain skiing, 20 minutes from Bethel NY and the Performing Arts Center (home of the Woodstock Museum - a walk thru the 60's and featuring outdoor festivals and concerts). The property is about 20 minutes from Honesdale, PA a quaint Northeast town known for antiquing. Nice golf courses nearby in Forest City, PA or Callicoon, NY. There are several public access fishing spots within a few minutes of the cabin. Many local summer camps are right nearby including Camp Raninu, Summit Camp, Bryn Mawr Lake Camp and Camp Cayuga. The property is great for that family get away in both summer and winter.

We needed a place to stay for parent's weekend at Frenchwoods which is about 30 minutes away in Hancock, NY. My husband and I shared this lovely house with another couple and it was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We could use our computer and our cell phones and they had a tv in every room with cable. It was just what we were looking for! Thank you Todd and Cindy for sharing your lovely home with us!

It was better than what I had expected! the description on the web site was perfect, the house had all the amenities listed and then some. the house actually looks better in person. the first thing we noticed was the nice size balcony, the second was the fresh smell of wood when we walked into the cabin. The house is well kept, as well as the property! The owners were always prompt at answering any questions and concerns I had before arriving. I would highly recommend this to family and friends. I can't make any recommendations of nearby attractions, because I never left the property until my check out date. We were prepared with food and beverages so that we wouldn't have to go shopping. It was a very relaxing vacation! I almost forgot Chestnut and Ariel also loved it, I think they enjoyed being outdoors for most of the time! (my dogs)

My family stayed here during our visit to Honesdale, PA for my brother's surprise 40th birthday in August, 2008. Everyone loved it! We felt all the comforts of home, loved the location, enjoyed the quiet of the forest, and really liked the proximity to both beautiful Duck Harbor Pond and Honesdale. My dad is still talking about it, and would really like to go back!

Nearby this lovely, private cabin is world-class trout fishing, plenty of hiking trials and wildlife galore. The property is pretty, quiet and peaceful with all of the amenities of home. We loved out stay so much that we want to return for another restful, relaxing time.

I just want to say that this was one of my most memorable and happiest birthday's ever,It was so relaxing and beautiful it was just what we needed!!!!! The cabin was great and so well equipt, the location was wonderful very secluded and private, very very romantic it was a fabulous getaway we can't wait to go back!!!!!!

We stayed at this cabin during Valentine's Day / President's Day weekend in February 2008 and I must say I did not want to leave! Everything was perfect, the scenery, the location... and the cabin itself was amazing! Very clean and modern, and having the wireless internet was a great added bonus that we took advantage of. It's perfect for that special get-away. I think I got the best sleep there than I have in a long time. Thanks again :)
