Highly Rated, Contemporary Wine Country Home with Sweeping Views
- Minimum stay:2-3 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
A beautiful 4+ bedroom, 3 bath Wine Country home with sweeping valley views. Everything has been updated, including an incredible kitchen makeover. There are views from every room. The expansive outdoor decking and gardens are framed by large windows and sliding glass doors. Private, yet within easy reach of all of Northern Sonoma County’s attractions, the home’s layout is perfect for a large family gathering or for just a few friends.
It is located on a hilltop with 180° views of the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. The home, accessible by an easy 10 minute drive from U.S. 101, just off Highway 128, a favorite cycling route, is 5 minutes from downtown Geyserville, 20 minutes from Healdsburg, 20 minutes from Lake Sonoma, and 15 minutes from numerous vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek valleys
This Geyserville contemporary ranch home features two master suites, located at opposite ends of the home for privacy, one with a California king bed, the other with a queen. Both bedrooms have modern en suite bathrooms. In addition to the 2 master suites, there is one bedroom with bunk beds and a queen bed, another room with a queen pull out couch, and a den with a twin trundle bed. A third modern bathroom is in the main hall near the den and one bedroom. All told, the house can sleep up to 11 people comfortably.
The living room with vaulted ceilings, expansive glass, comfortable sofas and sitting areas, and wood burning fireplace opens into a large dining/kitchen area. The dining room table, when expanded, can easily seat up to a dozen persons. Both the living room and dining areas have large sliding glass doors connecting to the deck, and providing stunning mountain and valley views. The copper topped kitchen counter provides a welcoming space, be it for breakfast or for cocktails. Meanwhile, the 6 burner Dacor stove, LG French door refrigerator, and soapstone counters will entice even the most hesitant cook into the kitchen to prepare delicious wine country cuisine.
While it is easy to stay in the house, enjoying its comfort, style, and amazing views, the 6+ acre outdoor area is also a jewel. Comfortable lounge chairs, outdoor sofas, and umbrellas bring the living room outdoors. A level lawn provides a green oasis and play space, and then opens to an arc of fruit trees, including multiple varieties of plums, pears, apples, figs, lemons, oranges, and, of course, grapes.

Our group of 10 have totally enjoyed this home away from home. Cathy reminded us that this was our fourth time staying at this property. We are already talking about planning our next annual retreat. You have all the privacy you need even for a group of 10. For home chefs, you will be delighted to find the well-stocked pantry and high-end quality cookware. And don't forget to explore the beautiful ground and the nearby clubhouse. Cathy, thank you again for sharing your wonderful place!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

A bunch of us close friends wanted a quick getaway from our super busy lives in the Bay Area, and we found this house on VRBO that matched our criteria. The house was in a private location with amazing views, yet it was close to all the wineries which made it convenient for us to spend the day wine tasting. The house was well kept on the outside and inside, and provided us with the perfect space for all of us to gather and enjoy the company of each other. The kitchen was spacious, nicely updated, and the open layout was perfect where everyone was able to socialize while we were cooking our meals. Everyone ended up having a great time at the house, as well as a fun and relaxing weekend in Sonoma. Would recommend this house to anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed here with family for a wedding and found this house to be great for a large group. Lots of space for spreading out, beautiful views, comfortable rooms for visiting and sharing time together. The property itself is large and lovely for walking around and checking out the orchard. Our only matter of concern was that the owner requires a no-shoes policy, which we believe should be stated on the VRBO page, along with no pets and no smoking. When first looking at this property, we stated that we needed accessibility because we had an elderly family member with a walker. There had to be some compromise on the shoe issue; had we known of the policy in advance, we would have looked for another place. While the owner was willing to work with us, it caused undue stress for all. Also, the steps up to the front door, while shallow and wide enough for a walker, turned out to be too uneven for walker use. Alternate means of getting inside had to be used. The wood framing the pavers on the steps was higher than the stones, so it was a tripping hazard for everyone. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider going back if the steps were improved.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This home was very comfortable and tranquil. There was plenty of room for everyone and the common space was functional and easy to entertain in. The grounds and views were beautiful. The one downside was no Wifi but this may have been a blessing is disguise.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

Wow! Where do I begin? My wife and I were extremely happy with our stay! We brought two other couples along to share our Sonoma wine tasting weekend. What a joy! The house was elegant and well maintained. It’s crafted just right for entertaining. The bedrooms were spacious while allowing opportunities for privacy. The family room was bright and served as grand forum for lots of conversation and laughter. I wish we have had more time to cook in that wonderfully stocked kitchen. But we made sure that we used it each morning when we prepared our elaborate breakfast (a must before a day of wine tasting). I even made use of a few lemons (found in the trees right on the grounds) to make our guacamole for our snacks at night! The view from the back patio was breathtaking! We spent each evening back there sampling our wine purchases for the day. One evening, right around sunset, we even witnessed a young doe and her offspring wandering peacefully in the back yard. My wife and I will most certainly return! After THIS visit? There is no way we’d stay in a hotel again while visiting Sonoma. This property is outstanding and I have already recommended it to my friends!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This rental house on Colony Road was more than what we had expected. The home was large and nicely furnished. The open floor plan was great for family entertainment and dinning. The proximity to the lake made it easy for parties with different interest to come and go easily without dependency on a car. We highly recommend this home to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
