  We loved our stay at this condo...we brought our 1 year old daughter, and everything was kid-friendly! The condo was clean, well-equipped and had a great view of the ocean - even better than the pictures. All of the main restaurants are a short walk away, which makes it easy to get around on busy weekends. We were a short drive from downtown Charleston's wonderful sites and restaurants. Be sure to check out Jack's Cosmic Dog, Tokyo Crepes and buy some Bluebell ice cream at Piggly Wiggly - they had the best selection. I would definitely stay here again - you can tell the owner loves the condo as much as her guests do!

  Stayed here with one other friend for a few days. The condo was everything we expected, and felt bigger than the pictures indicated. We LOVED the balcony and spent as much time out there as the weather would allow. There's a plethora of beach equipment in the storage bin, and unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for us to use it. Kitchen was fully equipped and was easy for us to cook in when we wanted to. The location is fantastic! We were able to walk everywhere in Folly, especially to the main drag on Center Street, where all the action is. We enjoyed being a stones throw from the beach, even though it was a little chilly for it. Would definitely stay here again, my only complaint is that the construction of the building is a little thin and we could hear lots of footsteps and music from the condo upstairs. Didn't hear any noise coming from the unit next door though. Thanks for the hospitality!

  We stayed here for about a week in October. The location is great. It looks like parking around downtown Folly could be difficult at times but this apartment is only a block away from downtown and across the street from the beach so you never have to worry about parking. Overall the apartment was very nice and looked a lot like one I used to live in. It was nice that there was cable (which we took advantage of durning a couple of nights of bad weather). It was also convienient to have a fridge and dishes to use. Overall it was a lot quieter than a hotel. There was one night where the people upstairs got rowdy but it didn't last long and it was nice not having the hall traffic like in a hotel. The deck was nice and big. We only had a couple of minor complaints about the unit. The bedspread looked a little dirty (not unlike a hotel though), there were a couple of stains on the pillow cases, and the window in the bathroom was broken and we couldn't close it. Nothing was a big enough issue to contact the owner about. The window issue was solved by keeping the bathroom door closed. Also the pillows were pretty crappy. Ususally I don't like hotel pillows but these were especially flat. The market across from the apartment is very expensive for any kind of groceries so I would recomend if you want any groceries to go to a biger supermarket, like the piggly wiggly you drive by into folly. You will also want to pick up some toilet paper if you stay for more than a couple of days since there is no maid to refill it. As far as restaurants go, we liked Taco Boy, Rita's had great fries, the crab shack had good seafood and drinks, and the restaurant at the pier had a nice variety on their menu and when we were there there was a guy playing music on the pier so that was nice to listen to. For breakfast I liked the Black Magic coffee shop a lot better than the Lost Dog, at least for breakfast sandwhiches. I would maybe like something fancier next time but for the price and great location I would stay here again. And just fyi the reason I am not checking the boxes to recomend it to the disabled or to age 55+ is the long stairway.

  Owner response: Thanks for the comments! I am aware of the window and actually called a handyman a couple days ago to get by to repair it. As for the pillows.......I will go by some more:) The Tommy Hilfiger comforter is less than a year old and I have already had it cleaned at a professional cleaners once.   We traveled to this Condo April 8-10th and when initially driving up to the building I was a little disappointed on the outer exterior of the building itself. Its in need of painting and some tree trimming and trash pickup. But, after entering the unit I was just so excited about our stay. The decor was nice, well taken care of. The unit was clean and I was pleasantly surprised. EXCELLENT !! I loved the deck and the view was amazing. The location was wonderful. We were able to walk to all restaurants, shops and even Bert's Store just behind the building was very convienient. I would recommend this condo to a friend or family and will be booking a trip there again in the furture. FANTASTIC!!

  We stayed in this condo from July 17-24 2010. The condo is exactly how it's pictured, in fact the location is even better than pictured. Even though it is not on the beach, you have an unobstructed view of the ocean as there is an open field in front of it. You are steps from the sand! The deck is a great place to people watch it's spacious with the palmettos blocking the harsh sun, keeping it cool. A local market is just steps away making it very convenient for last minute needs. A very short walk to the center of town with shops and many restaurants. Others have left beach items in the shed, which was great! A fully stocked kitchen was helpful, there were wine glasses and.... a bottle opener! We meant to spend more time at the beach but fell in love with Charleston which was a 20 minute drive, we went to the city every day and even made a 2 hour trip day trip to Savannah, GA. Miss Emily is awesome too!! I highly recommend this condo. Cathy, Tom & Lindsey

  My boyfriend and I stayed in this home for an entire wonderful week! We not only had perfect weather, but the house is wonderful! You can't get closer to the beach for the price, and while you aren't walking off the porch onto sand, it is right across the street, and you still feel like you are on the ocean. The house is decorated wonderfully, convenient, and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the porch though! I would recommend this to anyone, and we will definitly be planning another trip down.

  This is a lovely space. Perfect location...1 minute and you're on the beach, 2 minutes to downtown Folly, and a just a few minutes to the pier. The condo is simply and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed, and nice updated kitchen and bathroom. The electric grill outside works surprisingly well (we had some amazing grilled fish), but we had to borrow some grilling utensils. Otherwise, the kitchen had everything we needed. If it weren't so cold and windy outside, the rattan loveseat on the porch would have been an ideal spot for people-watching and reading a book while enjoying a glass of wine. Other than the fact that we could hear lots of footsteps upstairs at all hours, it was a completely enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back (probably not during Spring Break, though!)

  My daughter and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation in Folly Beach. Location, location, location for the condo! It was easily within walking distance to the beach, pier, and downtown area. The condo was immaculate and tastefully decorated. I really liked Folly Beach's small, cozy feeling and am looking forward to my next visit.

  Condo was in great shape, nice and clean with well stocked kitchen. One nice thing is that the beach has lifeguards on the section nearest the condo.

  This is a great place! The condo is perfectly placed close enough to everything. You can park your car on day one and walk the rest of your time in Folly. If you ever dreamed of a great place that allows you to relax in the company of good food & good people Folly is it!
