Situated between the medieval castle and the cathedral, in the most suggestive part of the medieval center of Vico del Gargano, is a charming two story house that was built in the XVIII century and completely redecorated four years ago. On the first level there is 1 master bedroom, a kitchen with fireplace, 1 bathroom and a lovely terrace under a "pergola", where you can enjoy your lunch/dinner,from the terrace you can reach the second level, a loft( with an ancient double king bed and a comfortable double sofa bed) in the large living room that with its 5 large windows, towers over the roofs and the churches of the historical center, the coast with Tremiti isles and the olive grove of the green countryside; in the second level there is a modern kitchen and an other bathroom. All the house, fully equipped, preserves, in the furnishings and in the original architecture, its very typical ancient soul.
In the middle of Italy, Vico del Gargano (450 m. on the sea, 8000 inhabitants, 5 km from the sea) is one of the Pearls of Gargano that is an hilly promontory surrounded for 3/4 by Adriatico sea. Gargano's National Park safeguards a very rich, natural, cultural, religious and artistic inheritance. Gargano's nature is strong, wild and very varied: terraced fields, olive plantations, citrus orchards, rows of Aleppo, pines, the impenetrable cloak of Umbra forest, the lakes of Lesina and Varano inhabited by ducks, herons and cormorants, the steep white coast displays alternating large sandy shores, small bays, deep inlets, caves and marine cliffs. Furthermore Gargano is rich in its history and a lot of museums are presents to bear witness in the some way there are a lot of living museums: the little towns of Gargano that speaks about a very typical architecture (the great and very suggestive historical center of Vico del Gargano is one of the best examples of it! ) , customs, gastronomy. Peschici (15 minutes from the Vico) and Vieste (30 minutes from the Vico) , both on the sea, are two, very famous, international tourist centers. Vico del Gargano is 4 hours from Rome and 3 hours from Naples and Amalfi, Sorrento; 1 from Pescara airport (Ryanair flight London-Pescara,...); 45 minutes from S.Giovanni Rotondo (PADRE PIO's town!)

We followed in love with Gargano and, specially with the medieval town of Vico del Gargano where, only 4 years ago we bought some, very suggestive houses that we have redecorated with love to let them have a new, original breath. Now we enjoy to host families from all over the world to let them discover this Paradise (some months ago UNESCO has named Gargano: world heritage!).

Unfortunately ( not for us!), Gargano today is not yet a first class, international tourist label, but we are sure in the next years you'll heard Gargano like Tuscany, Venice, ..
As for our way to host, first of all we have to tell you we'd prefer to know well them and to help them to discover the right soul of Gargano in Material and in immaterial too. We continue to have with all our past guests a nice friendship and this is our first satisfaction.

A deposit of 150 Euros per week is required to confirm your booking.
