Four Star Condo in Dakota Lodge
We rate all of our condos based on four criteria in order to make it easier for vacationers to compare different condos in different buildings. The criteria are as follows: unit size and quality, views, proximity to activities and building quality and amenities.
UNIT SIZE AND QUALITY: *****(5 Stars). This condo is a top floor Penthouse unit with 1050 square feet and soaring 20 foot ceilings. It features a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and extra pots, pans, glasses and silverware. There are two full bathrooms and plenty of room to stretch out in the family room. There is a dining room table that seats 6, a comfortable couch with sleeper sofa and three chairs. There is a 44 inch Sony Brava LCD screen over the fireplace and a recent up-converting Sony DVD player.
The master bedroom features a king sized bed with a high quality mattress. This mattress is not what you find in a standard condo. It is comparable to what you would find in a 5 star hotel.
The master bedroom also features a 29 inch TV with a recent up-converting DVD player, two dressers and a closet. There is also a private bathroom connected to this bedroom.
The secondary bedroom features a Queen sized bed with the same quality mattress as the master. It also has a 22 inch flat screen TV with a recent up-converting DVD player. There is a dresser and large closet as well.
There are many little extras in this unit including a baby/toddler Pack-n-Play, three high-end humidifiers and a boot warmer to dry out ski and hiking boots after a long day of play. There are extra blankets and pillows in both closets. We have also child proofed our unit by placing outlet covers throughout the condo.
VIEWS **** (5 Stars) This condo features unique stair step windows in the living room, which give you mountain and ski slope views. The cozy balcony also has views of Dercum Mountain (aka Keystone Mountain) and ski views. The master bedroom has two windows. One window looks out to Dercum Mountain and the other window has an amazing view of the Gore Mountain Range. Please see additional pictures. The secondary bedroom features one window that overlooks the River Run village and in the distance you see mountains.
PROXIMITY TO ACTIVITIES ***** (5 Stars) This condo is approximately 100 feet from the River Run village which features many excellent businesses including restaurants, shopping, bars, winter and summer sports rentals and great people watching. It is also approximately 150 meters to the new high speed, eight passenger gondola. In your ski boots and carrying your skis, it will take about three minutes to get to the gondola.
BUILDING QUALITY & AMENITIES ****(4 Stars) Dakota Lodge was completed in the late 90’s and is one of the more exclusive buildings in the resort. This means there is less congestion in the building during busy times and all units are a short walk from the elevator. Speaking of elevators, there is one high speed elevator that services only 67 units. Some other buildings have one elevator for over 100 units. There is an access controlled underground heated garage. Laundry facilities are located on both the second and fourth floor. This building also features the largest heated pool in the resort and the two largest hot tubs in the resort. The pool and hot tubs have views of Dercum Mountain and the ski slopes. There is also a sauna on the first floor. The sister building to Dakota lodge is next door and guests in Dakota have access to the game room and gathering areas in Buffalo. The game room features several pool tables and tables to play games such as chess and checkers. The gathering areas are beautifully decorated and have ample seating on couches and living room style chairs for large groups.
FEES & TAXES
We are required by law to charge tax on your stay.
Our cleaning fee is approximately 10% to 20% lower than most others. We keep the rate as low as possible, but it is a real and legitimate fee that everyone has to pay. You either pay for it in the rate, or you pay for it separately.
WE DO NOT CHARGE THE 5.9% RESORT FEE! This is a fictitious fee that many people/companies charge to add to their profit. If you rent from Keystone Resort or many of the other companies in the area, you will be charged this fee.
Just to be clear, taxes and cleaning fees are not included in the posted rates.

Why the Owner Chose River Run, Dakota
Dakota Lodge has a year-round heated pool with spectacular views of the mountains. It also has two, eight-person hot tubs, a sauna, and a heated parking garage under the building. It is also located in River Run Village, the newest area of Keystone where there are many events and festivals in the winter and summer.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
We have child-proofed the condo by placing outlet covers over the electrical outlets. We also purchased top of the line humidifiers because we come from a humid climate, and it is very dry in Colorado. If you are traveling with children, we also have a pack-n-play and a stroller in the condo, so you don't have to bring them with you. There is also a selection of DVDs in the condo for you to enjoy. In the winter, you will enjoy the boot warmer to dry your boots after a long day of skiing.

We also provide an initial supply of consumables, such as trial sized soap, lotion & shampoo, as well as trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and dishwashing liquid.
