Our apartment was a good size and was stocked with everything we needed. The location cannot be beat - close to TTC but within walking distance to most points of interest. Charles was very accommodating with us which was very helpful and appreciated. And Arnel, the building manager, made us feel very welcome and at home, and even went out of his way to provide toys and movies for our son. All in all we would recommend visitors to Toronto to stay there, especially if staying for a long time.

We stayed at Lowther Suites for a week in October 2011 and found it to be a great hotel alternative. It is in the perfect location for us especially as we have 2 small children. There are two playgrounds very nearby and the Annex and Yorkville are handy for any shopping needs you may have. It is near U of T and the subway. The suite was clean and comfortable and fully equipped. I would highly recommend it to anyone, but it is a particularly good spot for families who need a full kitchen and on site laundry.

Really Lowther Suites exceeded our expectations : wonderful apartment with lot of space, nice bedroom, living room, bath and kitchen with all necessary appliances and a dining table sufficient for us to receive our sons, nieces and grandson ! very nice surroundings, with subway station, super markets (Metro and Whole Foods) Drugmarket – all at walking distance; 24 h assistance of Arnel, for whatever we needed. We felt at home and the family who live there in Toronto had a reference point to visit us during our month stay. Congratulations, you provided us with a real 5 Star place, and hope to return, perhaps next year. We will get in touch with you with sufficient time in advance so as to look for the same apartment if possible. The Lowther Suites provided to us an instant feeling of home as we returned to Toronto from Montreal. We love the Annex, and Lowther Suites is a perfect location, centrally located and within walking distance to many key areas of the city, while providing a quiet home-like environment. The living room and bedroom were spacious and comfortable and the parking spot was a real plus in this area of the city. We enjoyed our week stay at Lowther Suites. Every small detail was taken care of and we were very comfortable. There are two grocery stores (Metro and Whole Foods) within 7 minutes of walking and plenty of cafes. The Spadina subway stop is a quick walk away. There were some nice restaurants within walking distance on Bloor Street. For families with kids, there are three parks within a stone's throw, one right across from Lowther Suites and two about 2-3 blocks away. The only downside is there is a frat house across the street which makes it noisy at night (if you have small, noise-sensitive children, it can be a problem).

Our suite on the 3rd floor was clean and comfortable and well maintained as was the common area. The property manager and the caretaker were very friendly and helpful and most gracious in accomodating our particular needs. Both the suite and the house (what I saw of it) were as advertised - there were no suprises - unpleasant or otherwise. The decor is a bit tired and could use an update and the beds were not entirely comfy but other than these minor details, we were very happy with our stay. I would recommend the place without hesitation.

A comfortable, roomy place to stay. Very clean and well-maintained. Located in a quite neighbourhood but very convenient to downtown. You get a whole apartment for the price of a hotel room. Suite 103 - dirty carpets and baseboards, unclean bathroom floor, poor plumbing (alternating hot and icy shower), old bedding and threadbare towels, ancient appliances and general run down appearance. It looks like the owners haven't invested anything to upgrade the property in years. Very poor value for the money. We couldn't wait to leave.

I stayed with my 3 year old granddaughter in the same suite that "Pam" who wrote the negative review stayed in, both immediately before and immediately after her stay. I personally inspected the suite on the day she moved in and none of the conditions she describes are true. The suite was and is immaculate and decidedly does not have a "general run down appearance", as is evidenced in the photos of the suite, 103, on VRBO and in our website www.lowthersuites.com. The best response to her comments, however, is in the praise and expressions of appreciation from our many satisfied guests (There have been hundreds). We stayed at Lowther Suites for five months while our new home was being built. The location was close to everything the city has to offer. With shops, restaurants and all the tourist sites nearby, I felt like a tourist in my own home town. The building was clean and our suite was well maintained on a weekly basis. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities made living very easy. I'd highly recommend Lowther Suites - our stay was excellent!

Hi Charles, We had such a great time in Toronto but it is time to leave. We loved staying at Lowther Suites. Arnel was most responsive and helpful. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We really felt at home. The location was outstanding. We were so close to public transit which we utilized extensively. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed taking breakfast there. Lots of closet space and all the windows made it very light. We would give Lowther Suites our highest recommendation. We have stayed at VRBO listed properties in New York, San Francisco and London and yours was the best experience. We look forward to returning to Toronto and staying at Lowther Suites. Truly a pleasure staying at Lowther Suites! Very nice and spacious living area. Will probably never want to stay in a hotel again. My friends and I had a blast in Toronto and knowing that I was going back to a homely place of comfort at the end of each day made it that much better. My family recently relocated to Toronto and we spent nearly two months enjoying the home comforts of Lowther Suites. The location was excellent - walking distance to two TTC stations made my commute downtown very easy. The restaurants and shops of both Yorkville and The Annex were a short stroll away. Charles was extremely flexible with our arrangements and was able to accommodate various requests we had. Arnel, the caretaker was always available for any help we required. A big plus for us was the warm and homely atmosphere of the apartment which made Lowther Suites feel more like a temporary "home" rather than another corporate address.

My husband and I spent the month of December at Lowther Suites as we became first time grandparents...we were both very familiar with the street since our son and daughter in law had just lived 4 houses away a couple of years before. Lowther suites is a beautiful perfectly located property in walking distance of musuems, the university of toronto, shops, cafes, restaurants and parks. the suite we stayed in with our baby and small dog was lovely. It was thoughtfully equipped, very well furnished, and extremely well serviced, maintained and managed on-site by Arnel and off site by Charles. Even the smallest problem was attended to speedily and with professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend lowther suites as a place to stay.

My wife and I certainly enjoyed our stay at the Lowther Suites. The apt was quite spacious and was equipped with everything we could possibly want during our week in Toronto. The location was great; in a real neighborhood, rather than a touristy area. We were able to walk everywhere, and when we wanted to use the train or bus, it was only five minutes away. We, 2 adults and 17 months' baby, stayed at Lowther Suites for 2 weeks in August 2009 and really enjoyed our apartment 103 with its huge deck. There was actually no singe negative thing we could think of during our stay. Apartment was clean and has absolutely everything you may need even if you travel with an infant. Location was very quiet and very conveniently located - just 5 minutes walk from busy Bloor street. Housekeeper Arnel was prompt and very helpful. We'll definitely try to book Lowther Suites for our next stay and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent and reasonably-priced accommodation in Toronto.

Lowther Suites was an ideal location for us when we emmigrated to Canada from Australia. But it wasn't just its prime location, or the comfy beds that made it perfect. It was also Charles and Arnel who made our stay flawless. We corresponded with Charles before we left Australia and he did everything he possibly could to make us feel welcome and ensure the suite was just what we needed. We were greeted by Arnel who treated us like celebrities for our entire stay and Charles continued to check in with us throughout our stay, with a friendly approach and a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. We had the luxury of staying in both the two bedroom and one bedroom suites; both were comfortable, private and offered all the comforts of home. Situated steps away from the TTC, cafes and supermarket made living easy! Highly recommended.

We choose a suite at the Lowther Apartments for a week for our son's wedding in Toronto. It was a terrific choice for four adults and one toddler with plenty of room to move around and have people drop in for a visit. The location was the best, only a block from the subway and close to all amenities, including mere blocks to the ROM. We all loved the large bathroom and living room. The caretaker was attentive to all our needs and quickly produced items that were short or missing. The air conditioning worked well when required. We would stay there again.

Quiet and comfortable, yet extremely central. Good restaurants nearby, parking and easy walk to downtown or nearby metro (subway) station. Ample space for our two young children, even in a one-bedroom.
