You will love the spectacular views of Long Island Sound and Duck Island from this newly renovated, well appointed, 4 bedroom beach house set up on a bluff under shade trees at historic and beautiful Grove Beach. This year we have built a lovely wrap-around deck, as well as a new roof deck with a sensational view. Our sunroom has been renovated, as well, with new windows, sliders and a new hardwood floor. There is a Weber gas grill on the back deck along with a hot/cold outdoor shower.
You will enjoy relaxing and taking in the views from the screened-in sun porch and deck or be lulled to sleep by waves crashing in to shore. This beach house is just a short walk from the sandy beach. You can bring your beach chairs out onto the sandbar, take a beach walk down to the jetty to watch the boats cruise into Pilots Point Marina, or sunbathe on the beach.
A brand new vintage kitchen and newly renovated bedrooms will add to your beach vacation experience. It is close to the Clinton and Westbrook Outlets, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, Mystic Seaport and the Mystic Aquarium. There are wonderful nearby restaurants and you will find plenty to do in addition to the beach.

This was our second summer renting this house and it was fantastic! It's the perfect location. A close walk to the beach...and DQ! View from deck is perfect. We cooked for our guests often, and the kitchen is well stocked! The house is very clean, well maintained and updated! Well worth it!!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

What a beautiful home. We had such a great time! The deck was perfect for the kids and with “no” traffic on the street they ran between your driveway and the open driveway across the street. Couldn’t ask for a better view from the rooftop deck when watching the races on Wed. night. The beach was never crowded. We did get to know our neighbors and they had kids about the same age as our kids, so it worked out very well! We had many friends and family members coming and going over our two weeks, and everyone really admired the home. We found the “before and after” album. WOW! Can’t believe the house used to look like that. You and your husband did a terrific job! Can't wait to come back next year!Recommended for: Families with young children.

We found this beach rental to be even better than we'd hoped. As stated by previous reviewers, it was exceptionally clean, well stocked, comfortable and had a great view. Beds were comfortable, appliances were high end. We've enjoyed many rentals on the West Coast and also 3 in Westbrook. This was among the best we've rented. The glassed-in sun porch was our perfect hang out on a couple of rainy June days. The owner was helpful and accessible. We hope to rent this ideal home again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We have rented this home 3 times in the past year and a half and it's been absolutely perfect for us, hence why we keep returning! The house is in the perfect location - easily accessible to restaurants, shopping, activities, family and I95. It's also a quick walk to Dairy Queen (a priority for my husband!). It's a lovely home - recently renovated. I love having high end appliances, washer and dryer, granite counter tops, comfy beds....it all feels like our home away from home. We've also thrown get togethers here and have had everything we need in order to do so. The home is also the most well stocked beach home we've ever stayed in. The beach is just a 3 minute walk on a private road and the house sits up on the bluff in the shade which is really nice to come home to when you've been baking in the sun all day! We have two young children and it's been a great home for us to rent. We'll definitely return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Absolutely stunning beach home with beautiful views of the Long Island Sound. Our family of 7 (4 adults, 1 senior and 2 small children) stayed in this lovely house for our son's wedding. So very comfortable and charming. The beds were soooo comfortable and the house allowed for us all to have a room to ourselves. I have rented several properties over the years and this home was so well appointed. Lovely furnishings, ipod docking station, wifi, washer and dryer, Weber grill, TV with DVD player and a gourmet kitchen. We had a family gathering the day after the wedding and everything needed to entertain was right at our fingertips.It is an easy walk to the beach and parking is plentiful. Home is immaculately maintained and the photos on the website do not do it justice........really lovely. Close to all beach activities, restaurants and resorts. Easily rented on line and Theresa the owner was very helpful with all questions. I just can't say enough good things about this home. Just a wonderful stay in a most charming New England setting. We will definitely be back to stay next year!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: My husband and I have vacationed in Westbrook for the past 33 years. We always dreamed of owning our own beach house and in the fall of 2007 we purchased this house. We totally gutted the upstairs adding insulation and beadboard paneling to the walls. We renovated the upstairs bath, adding a new tile floor, and a new toilet. On the first floor we gutted the kitchen and put in a 'vintage' kitchen with modern amenities. We have granite countertops and stainless appliances. We feel it is very comfortable and affords a spectacular view of Long Island Sound from the sunporch, kitchen, dining room and the front bedrooms.
Why the Owner Chose Westbrook:
Grove Beach in Westbrook has the best beach on the shoreline. It is a long, sandy beach great for walking. A sandbar comes out at low tide which is wonderful for kids and grownups alike.
