Accommodations:  Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

This charming cottage, recently restored and decorated with antique and cottage style furniture, with all the amenities, is located on the river in Leland with shoreline swimming and a large yard for entertaining. A short walk to the village for shopping, beautiful beaches, restaurants, Leland harbor, and historic, picturesque Fishtown.

This cozy home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps six. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, television and private bath; there is room for a small portable crib for an infant. The other 2 bedrooms have a double bed and twin beds and share a large bathroom.

The house was newly remodeled in 2006 and is approximately 2,200 square feet of comfortable and lovely living space. There is a wood- burning fireplace, view of the river from the living room, and a deck just off the living room.

A boat dock on the river accommodates your boat giving you access to Lake Leelanau. A picnic area on the river, next to the dock, is a delight on warm summer evenings, to enjoy cocktails and dinner, waving to the passing watercraft (a quiet, 5 MPH, no wake area strictly enforced). A 20 foot canoe is included for the guest's personal use.

  • After experimenting with rentals in Leland for the past 10 years, we have found our paradise. Our two weeks at the "cottage on the river" were perfect for our family. We parked our boat at the dock, entertained in our beautiful riverside yard, walked the few blocks to town for dinner and had the best Leland vacation ever. The house has everything we needed and we so enjoyed our "master suite". Thank you Cherryll and Bud for sharing your charming cottage with us. We look forward to being with you next year.
