Our Santa Fe style mountain-side home has a 600 sq.ft. detached guest house that we are renting to winter visitors. It features a King size bed, plasma flat screen, walk in closet and gas fireplace. Since it has no bedroom, it must be considered a studio. It has a large deck with a view of North Scottsdale, Pinnacle Peak, and Carefree. There is an outdoor fireplace near the pool that is enjoyable in the evening. At night the view is city lights, and mountains on two sides. This guest house is in an exclusive area which is very private but near lots of shopping and restaurants. You may see Arizona wildlife from the deck such as coyotes, owls, rabbits and road runners. This guest house is perfect for two people and that is the limit that we will allow. We are in the main house and only want guests who are quiet and will not be having any parties.

  • My husband and I recently stayed at this guesthouse for a week, and we would give our experience an A++. The accomodations were very comfortable and well-appointed, and more spacious than the pictures show. We loved the deck with an expansive view of Scottsdale, and we also enjoyed using the Barbecue and pool. The best part of the experience was our host; he went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed. There were special treats awaiting us upon arrival, and many other thoughtful gestures that made our stay very pleasant. We felt by the end of the week that we were visiting at the home of a friend. We cannot wait to go back!

  • We loved this beautiful guest house. My morning walks revealed stunning views of the mountains. The flat screen tv was fabulous - so many channels. The kitchen is very convenient and Jim had a few treats waiting for us. The very best was the view from our deck. It was great in the late afternoon - so peaceful and quiet. This place is very private even though it is close to the main house. The entry is along the side of the property. Let me just say: don't stay in a hotel when you can enjoy this wonderful retreat.   • This adorable house, these wonderful people and this beautiful city were so very needed! The Howe's were the epidamy of the gracious host. Thank you for your hospitality and attentiveness. We LOVED the guesthouse, it had everything you needed and than some! The bed was comfy, the huge flat screen TV was great for movie night, the kitchen has everything you need, the closet is huge and the vintage Centipede video game was a blast! Even though it rained quite a bit during our trip, the deck, the patio table and Scottdale skyline were calling us and our Merlot every evening. Really, I cannot say enough great things about this place and our hosts, we will be back every year at the same time for the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show...and maybe just for fun! Thank you Howe's!
