I read the reviews before renting this condo. I assumed since the complaint in 2008 had been addressed, that it would not be a problem. The Murphy bed mattress was still disgusting, could not be used. Since we were only there two nights, my daughter slept on the couch. Bathroom could use some updating. Overall, for the price, It was a pleasant place. Walking distance to the beach and International Market place. Lots of shopping and restaurants right in the area.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

Great for families

We recently stayed here and even though the room may not be as modern as some of the other suites, it suited our needs very well. From our view - the Banyan appeared to have by far the best roof top recreation area with a pool great for small children, plenty of BBQ's and the playground and putting area were great to entertain kids. The Zoo and beach were so close and easy for little legs to walk to. The staff were great and quick to help when needed. They have plenty of beach items and chairs for free while you stay. We would definately recommend. Thank you!

We needed last minute accommodations for 5 people due to a family emergency and needless to say cost was a definite factor. We searched for 2 days and finally came upon this website. Not only were they able to accommodate all of us but the rooms were outstanding. We had to change condos once during our stay but it was no problem because they were all amazingly clean and very well kept rooms. We just can't say enough good things about these rooms. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to avoid the "tourist" hotels in Waikiki. We plan on returning to Hawaii since my side of our family still lives there and we are definitely using KoKo Resorts for future stay on the island. This is the only vacation rental company in Hawaii we can recommend.

Great View, Location, and Value!

Great view and location. When you get quoted hotel prices around Waikiki and compare it to what you get here, it's a no brainer. I would recommend to visitors to Hawaii looking to get great value out of their stay and neighbor island families staying for 3+ nights. I will definitely recommend Koko Resorts and this unit to others in the future. Perfect for out of town guests for Kamaaina.

The building location is convenient, and it most definitely a building for families--this is not a spot for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. The primary problem was lack of proper management care. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty, and we ended up washing everything in the cupboards to feel we could use them. The sheets on the murphy bed were dirty, and the unit itself is simply run-down and needs some remodeling and TLC. Hard to imagine what they are doing with the cleaning fee, based on what we saw. The murphy bed mattress was literally unusable. There were nearly exposed springs in certain areas of the bed, and it was clearly a mattress which should have been thrown away some time ago. Pricing seemed fair based on the marketplace and the location, but once we saw the condition of the unit, it was not worth the money. As to this unit type in general, while the configuration worked for the two of us, I can't imagine having more than two in the room, certainly not another couple. It is truly just a studio unit with a sliding screen, and there would be no privacy for more than two adults, with access to the bathroom being through that sliding separation.

We recently stayed in this unit for four days and were absolutely delighted with it. We could watch the recreation area from our balcony as we sipped our coffee. The unit was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the beds were great and we four adults had no trouble sharing the one bedroom plus murphy bed and one bath. All in all, a wonderful experience, relaxing and fun.
