Our West Maui condo is a direct oceanfront 1 bedroom unit just 50 feet from the ocean. From the private lanai your eyes will feast on the 180 degree ocean view of the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
Directly in front of the complex are three reefs which provide excellent snorkeling. This is where the sea turtles feed. Directly to the north is a wonderful sandy beach with steps leading down from the complex's Japanese garden.
Located just 1.5 miles north of the famous Kaanapali Beach the Kulakane is a small complex (42 units) in a quiet neighborhood. This setting allows you to experience the true feel of “island living”. Start the day when you want with a relaxing two block walk down to the local coffee shop, "Bad Ass Coffee", West Maui’s answer to Starbucks.
Just a little further is the Farmer’s Market where you can find locally grown produce or stop in at a great Deli. The neighborhood is very safe and as you walk you will be greeted with a friendly “Aloha” from residents and visitors alike.
Looking for a bit more action? Golf, watersports, shopping, dining are all just a short drive away (Lahaina, Kapalua, Kahana and Napili are all within 4 miles).
Our newly furnished condo is open, bright and securely located on the 2nd floor of our 3 story complex.
From the kitchen, living room or lanai you will gaze out upon the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The tropical furnishings add to the “island magic” as you enjoy the queen size bed; walk-in closet with safe; bath/shower combination; fully equipped kitchen; and queen size convertible sofa.
The fully furnished kitchen will provide you with all that you need to create a gourmet meal or quick bite to eat including a refrigerator with ice-maker, cook top stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, teapot, blender, rice cooker and just about every utensil you can think off.
Can’t seem to do without modern conveniences? Free Wi fi will keep you in contact with those at home. Cable flat panel televisions are provided in the bedroom and living room. Free local telephone service is provided on cordless phones.
CD and DVD players allow you to enjoy your favorite music and movies (we have a large selection of DVD's but for this week’s release there is video rental store is just a short walk from the condo).
Ipod Docking Station with speakers to play your favorite tunes.
Ceiling fans in the bed and living rooms assist the gentle tradewinds in keeping you cool and comfortable. Additional portable fans are also provided but are normally not needed.
Free off street parking is provided as well as all linens and towels.
There are two gas barbecues available for your grilling pleasure. Our site manager grows fresh herbs in the barbecue area for the guests to use.
Fresh bananas direct from the Kulakane banana tree if you're lucky enough to be staying when they are ripe.
The ocean front dipping pool will allow you to cool off as you relax in your favorite lounge chair.
There are some great restaurants on Maui but once you have experienced dining on your lanai going out will be a difficult choice.
As the sunset sets and your dinner cooks enjoy your favorite beverage on the lanai table which comfortably seats four. The puffy clouds in the distance will slowly turn from gray to red as you watch for the famous “green flash”.
When the sun finally sets below the horizon it is time to light the candles, refresh your drink, enjoy a wonderful dinner and think about all of the things that you “won’t” be doing tomorrow”.
Within a mile of the condo you will find a supermarket, fresh fish market and farmers market for all of your culinary needs.
Afraid you may miss the sunset? At the Kulakane sunset is announced every evening by the blowing of the conch shells. One is provided in the unit so you can join in on this traditional Hawaiian ceremony. And if you are there on a Friday night at sunset be sure to enjoy the no host “pupu” party where the guests of Kulakane enjoy their favorite beverage while sampling the delights of island cuisine.
Nothing is more magical than watching Humpback whales frolic in the channel in full view from the lanai. From Mid December through March Maui serves as the migration breeding ground for these magnificent creatures. If your travels don’t allow you to visit during this period you can enjoy the antics of green sea turtles and an occasional pod of dolphins from your lanai year round.

We stayed in this lovely condo for 8 nights and it was amazing. They owners have definately outdone themselves in decorating (felt like the warmth of home), the kitchen was well equipped, clean and met all our needs 100%. The property management staff was very helpful. The area for BBQ'ing was so fun with all the fresh herbs a cook/BBQ chef would need! The grounds were immaculate. We also rented a 2 bed/2 bath for our grown/married kids and they loved that condo also. We will be back and very soon!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
