I stayed at this home with four friends for a wedding. It was perfectly equipped for our needs. There are two big bedrooms and a big loft upstairs that would be perfect for kids. There is only one full bathroom which could get crowded if you have a lot of people. The house is also in a great location - it's close enough to walk into Edgartown and also a short drive to Stop and Shop, liquor store, and restaurants. I would recommend having a car for convenience. It's a quick drive from the ferries in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have a small group.

Wonderfully Secluded Cottage - Just show Up!

Thanks Jackie!!!! This place is awesome! The location is perfect - close to Edgartown - you could walk/bike there easily. We had a rental jeep, which we drove all over the island to each town and didn't have difficulty parking. The photographs on the site are accurate. This place is clean, comfy, and has everything you want and need! The deck is amazing... The whole house is quiet and secluded and you feel like you're the only one there. The kitchen has all the cooking and serving items you could ever want. We didn't need to use the washer and dryer, but was glad it was there just in case. We didn't have a need to use the outside shower, but it's huge! Jackie (the owner) was extremely helpful with all of my questions and very accommodating to our early arrival on the Vineyard. We just fell in love with the entire Vineyard and loved driving around each town and seeing the individual personality of each area. I'd have to say I liked Edgartown the best...just loved the 'feel' of the area. I'm planning to return next summer and I hope to be able to reserve this home once again!

We just received your security deposit check. Thank you for being so prompt. We enjoyed our stay at your home. It is very well equipped. We hope you were satisfied with the condition in which we left it. I treated it like my own home. In addition, I replaced any supplies (i.e. Laundry detergent) if they were close to finished. We will definitely return. Thank you again. P. S. Who in your family is the artist? I enjoyed all of it so much. Very talented.

This was our fifth different rental on MV,and definitely the best.The house was great - well located,secluded,charming,with modern amenities.Our kids (11,8,6) had a blast in the loft,and we enjoyed the air conditioned comfort on the main floor.The owner was truly a pleasure to deal with. There is a 100% probabilty that we will be back !

Had a great stay! Easy walk to town and bike ride to South beach. Well arranged for family with kids with plenty of beds - nice and quiet too. Would be glad to come again.

We have been renting this home for the last 6 years and just love it. The landlord is very accomodating and easy to deal with and the location is spectacular. It is on a private road in a very quiet neighborhood close to the bike path and town. It is nice to have the option of not having to hassel with in town parking! The house is very open, clean and well equipped. Our kids love the dorm style loft as they can have friends come visit and all sleep up there together. The deck is very spacious and private. We appreciate that the homeowener supplies beach chairs as well since they take up so much room in the car! Great House!

Very close to downtown Edgartown. Nice little house with upstairs loft. We were a family of 4 and it suited us well. Owner's daughters lived in back guest house but we never saw or heard them. Back deck / BBQ grill was nice nice as was the WiFi connection. Would definitely come back again.

I recently stayed here and was extremely satisfied with the home. The owner was very easy to deal with, the house was great and the deck is a really nice bonus. It's in a very nice neighborhood, is close to town and south beach and was perfect for our stay. would definitely recomend to anyone looking for a place to stay on the vineyard. the whole experience was great, very very very pleased.

The house is great. It was spotless, in excellent condition, everything worked, the king sized bed was really comfortable, and we enjoyed nice "extras" like the temperature gauge on the shower, WiFi internet, and the widescreen TV. If you like to hike, go to the Felix Neck reserve on the Vineyard Haven to Edgartown road and purchase the MV hiking guide ($10). It lists over 40 hikes on the island with maps and trail descriptions. We tried out several and had a great time.

This house is great! It close to town, yet private. It is clean, has a well equipped kitchen, and is sunny and comfortable. We enjoyed several meals on the deck, and our kids love the loft. We have stayed here twice and plan on visiting again!

This location was fabulous for us as it was near Katama Airport, South Beach, Edgartown, and everything we needed was reachable by bicycle only. There is even a little beach on a pond only 1 mile away. House is more than well equipped for spending time on the island.

Just got back from our stay at 33 Kittsfield and had a fabulous time. We had 2 families stay and it worked out perfectly. We had all the kids sleep up in the loft and they loved it. The location was perfect in that it is a very private location (in a great neighborhood) yet a quick drive to Edgartown center, State Beach and South Beach. As a previous entry noted - it is truly a beach house with all the basics. The outdoor shower was great and the on site beach chairs were appreciated. Thanks for a great family vacation.

"I have rented this property a few times over the past few years. The property is very convenient to downtown Edgartown, within walking distance. The house was very clean, nice deck and great outdoor shower!! It was a pleasure to deal with the homeowner. We have spent a few summers at this home located in the Kittsfield neighborhood of Edgartown. The things that we have enjoyed are many. We can walk into town which is about a mile to a mile and a half. This saves us from having to find a parking space when we want to shop or go to lunch and dinner, or for ice cream. Then we get to walk off our calories afterwood. Also, on many nights we chose to cook in or barbecue the great fresh fish we got at the local fish market. We sat outside on the deck and made sure we sprayed ourselves with bug spray and enjoyed the fruits of the sea. When it was hot and humid we made sure we had the bedroom air conditioners on for respite from the heat. The house has a summer vacation feel with open living space for socializing. One of the highligts of any summer vacation on Martha's Vineyard is the outside shower. It feels great after the beach, or when it is hot, of just for when you want to feel clean before you go to bed and look up at the stars while showering. The house is within driving or biking distance to State Beach or South Beach (if you are fit.) And there is an abundance of privacy if you just want to have a great get away. It is summery and fun if you want a true Island summer experience. It's not high end or pretentious - it's just a true island summer vacation home. We love it and can't wait to go back next summer.
