Redwood Haven Cottage is nestled in a spectacular, private redwood grove. It is off the street and offers absolute privacy and seclusion. Redwood Haven Cottage is a small cottage with a loft bedroom. The loft has a very comfortable queen size bed and a twin. A queen size futon is in the downstairs living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and the full bath has a combo tub and shower.
Outdoors you will find a large, partially covered patio with outdoor cooking, dining, fire pit and a private hot tub surrounded by redwood trees.
Redwood Haven Cottage is located in the rural neighborhood of Westhaven, 3 miles south of Trinidad. It is the ideal location to enjoy the Trinidad and surrounding areas. We are within walking distance of Moonstone Beach and 2 art galleries. The beaches of Trinidad, the lagoons, Patrick's Point State Park and Redwood National Park are all within a short drive.

Perfect cozy cabin in the woods...

This cottage in the woods was full of character and charm. It was perfectly equipped for all of our needs and once we figured out a couple of the quirks (i.e. the hot water is backwards on all faucets it seems), we were right at home. It was a great location to sightsee all of the surrounding areas, and just a short scenic drive to Redwoods National and State Parks. We also enjoyed the deck surrounded by woods where we could enjoy the hottub and outdoor fire (and the many Banana slugs that like to hang around)! I would stay again and would recommend to anyone.

This is the most glorious cabin. I stayed here for a week last July at the end of a four month road trip of the US. The cabin is cozy, adorable and clean. The bed in the loft, so comfy. Everything you need regarding cooking, music, warmth, internet access, relaxation, peace, and wildlife. Big bonus to the fresh eggs delivered the day that I arrived. Pet friendly and perfect for your doggie companion. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Would live there year round if the funds allowed. It is beautiful, and holds very fond memories. Stay, and you will surely enjoy.

My friend and I stayed here for a week at the end of August 2010. It was just about perfect! It had tons of amenities (full kitchen, extra bedding, satellite TV, wifi) and lots of personal touches. We also appreciated the hot tub and the fire pit so we could sit outside and gab. We were close to town, the beach, and to our friend's house whom we were visiting, yet it was very secluded and very homey. I would absolutely stay here again. My only suggestion would be to have better signage on the road as we had some initial difficulty finding the property. Otherwise it was perfect!!

This cottage is wonderful! My husband and I rented it for a weekend for our anniversary and we had an amazing time! We were going to go out to eat the first night but we got to the cottage and were so content, we stayed in and made dinner in the perfectly stalked kitchen. The hot tub and patio were great and the bed and futon were very comfy. The cable was nice, we used it mostly for music. Moonstone beach is only about a three minute drive and is so beautiful! It was everything we had hoped for and more. We greatly enjoyed the privacy too. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back and my parents are planning a visit as well, after seeing our pictures.
