Located in a wooded area overlooking a pristine lake, this woodsy style contemporary is a sportsman's paradise. It's a short drive to skiing (Jiminy Peak, Butternut/Catamount) and cultural attractions, (Tanglewood, National Music Center, Aston Magna, etc.) or you can fish, swim, boat, hike, or lounge on the deck or the dock, just footsteps away.
The house is on Round Pond. It is in a wooded, semi-remote area, a few other houses around but not too visible. Lake is very clean, nice to swim in, and good fishing. It has a large dock with swim ladder, etc. A rowboat is usually there for your use. No gas motors allowed on the lake. We are 10 minutes from Butternut Mountain and 35 minutes from Jiminy Peak, both excellent family ski resorts. Also 15 minutes from Catamount Ski area. 15 - 20 minutes from Tanglewood.

We have traveled extensively and stayed in hotels and vrbo rentals around the world and had many wonderful experiences. We had a family reunion here July 28 - August 4. The place is old, musty and damp. Bed springs are broken, lamps are broken, stair railings are broken. The refrigerator did not work at all and we waited 4 days for a new one. The pillows on the furniture actually smelled. The pond had foam on it. I wouldn't consider going in although the kids enjoyed swimming. The ladder rungs were almost broken so it was dangerous to get out of the water. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement. One has no windows. The windows in the other one were piled with bugs. So moldy and damp down there, a humidifier must be emptied regularly The place was truly disgusting. Couldn't wait to leave. Also, the place required a deposit. It was supposed to be returned after 30 days. My husband had to call twice and it was finally returned after 6 weeks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
