Just back from Paris and stayed in this lovely apartment. It is well located at Pl. des Vosges with many shops and great restaurants in the neighborhood. There is plenty of space in the unit and you have all the conveniances of home including free wi-fi and washer and dryer. The owner was great to work with and assures you of an excellent stay in Paris. This place is A+ and we would recommend to anyone staying in Paris.

We stayed here for a week as a family of four with 2 children ages 15 and 12. We had a wonderful time. The apartment is one of the best we have ever stayed in in Paris. Very clean, well organized, very quiet, airy. We all loved the location just off the Place des Vosges. There are lots of nice cafes and shops, as well as restaurants in the area. The Place St. Catherine, a lively place with restaurants in the evening especially, is right around the corner. Lots of busses as well as close to St. Paul metro. I would highly recommend this apartment. Having two full baths was especially nice and almost unheard of in Paris! Fully equiped kitchen, grocery stores just around the corner. Can't say enough to recommend this place! If you arrive in the early morning, though, you should actually rent the place from the day before so that you can get in when you arrive. It's VERY POPULAR so you can't expect to move in just as the previous people are leaving.

I can't imagine being in a better location -- or a better apartment. Of course it didn't hurt that we had an unbelievably beautiful week in later March -- with sunny skies every day and temperatures from the high 50s to the low 70s F every single day. But it's really convenient to the Metro, shopping, restaurant, while still being in a beautiful residential setting. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Having a computer and wifi set up (with a printer) meant that I only needed to bring an iPad instead of a laptop. This is a great neighborhood. I could easily see myself living in this part of Paris. In fact, my daughter and I felt right at home by the end of our stay. Only things I might point out for improvement: the living room could use a more inviting/comfortable seating arrangement and better lighting; the bedrooms could use curtains and/or blinds. Otherwise, this is a perfect rental that would easily suit a family or two couples.
Owner response:each bedroom has two windows. each window has a build in blind which is monitored by a winch. when they are pulled down, you get absolute darkness. also we have two reading lights in the main bedroom closet that can be moved around anyhere in the apartment. i feel sorry that i havent explained these to jacky on the check in but glad to see that all our guest that have posted reviews have rated 5 stars my apartment olivier

This is a good place. Very clean, spacious bedrooms, well supplied and QUIET! So nice to come home to a quite place after being out in the busy city all day. Also very secure and nice to be on the third floor. Nice stereo system and paperback book selection.Elevator good as we had luggage! Owners easy to communicate with, responsive and timely. We had our 21 year old daughter who was able to have her own large bedroom and her own bath by front door.

We stayed in this condo for a week in Oct. 2010. There were 4 adults and the space was plenty comfortable for all. We appreciated the great location in this beautiful neighborhood in Paris. Restaurants, patisseries, shops, parks, Metro and bus stops are all just steps away. The place is quiet though you might hear joyful children playing at the school nearby. It was great to have a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and the washer/dryer. It makes for easier packing and living conditions. We also were able to use the provided computer to make a lot of reservations online for tourist attractions which made for an easier visit. The owner is flexible and responsible and worked with us in every request. We highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Two couples in their 50s rented this space for 7 nights and it proved to be an excellent choice. The flat was nicely appointed, quiet and secure, comparatively spacious and very clean. The Marais district was lively and interesting and the location of the flat is terrific, with easy walking access to shops, grocery stores, restaurants and le Metro. Recommended restaurants nearby include Chez Janou at 2 rue Roger Verlomme; Cafe des Musees at 49 rue de Turenne; Le Caruso at 3 rue de Turenne (Italian). The owners were helpful, responsive and good to deal with. We would certainly recommend this flat to friends. A great way to live like a Parisien(ne) for a week!

It is hard to imagine a more beautiful and comfortable home in Paris. We bask in the quiet elegance of the furniture and floors, and the appropriateness of everything. We had friends from the UK join us for part of our stay, so the second bathroom with shower and WC, and its washer and dryer, were real additions to the main bathroom with its comfortable full bath, and the separate WC. We relaxed in the glorious light and views on three sides, and the entrances into such beautiful yet peaceful public spaces. This is Paris at its quiet best. How nice it is to arrive to a welcoming supply of good music, good books, and even mustard and other kitchen essentials. And now we are drinking our afternoon tea to the best of Mozart and Beethoven. Cardinal Richelieu no doubt wishes he were still here too.

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris and want to add our praises to the other guest book comments. I wholeheartedly agree with all the positive statements. First, the apartment. Comfortable, clean, spacious, bright, attractively furnished - all apply! Also, the kitchen deserves special mention - bright, well equipped and with a view of the charming courtyard. And very important, but not to be taken for granted, comforable beds and plenty of plush towels! As to the area, it really is wonderful, and I would like to mention several of our favorite spots for future tenants. I know it has been mentioned how good the bakery, (corner rue du Foin and rue de Turenne), is. I would like to add that the owner is extremely nice and friendly, too. Also, for wonderful hot chocolate: Cafe de Sevigne (corner rue Payenne and rue du Parc Royal). And our favorite neighborhood restaurant - always lively and friendly with excellent specials - Cafe des Musees. One more thing that may be of interest. Having purchased a bus book, we found that this area has buses to practically anywhere you might want to go. The buses are fast and efficient and, of course, you get to see your surroundings. And, finally, the important fact that Olivier is a very considerate and welcoming landlord. His attentiveness definitely contributed to making our stay a comfortable one. All these points adding up to a very enjoyable stay in Paris!

This place is absolutely amazing - the pictures don't do it justice. It is perfectly located in Paris (Marais/Bastille have a lot of great streets for walking and restaurants). The apartment is beautiful - very comfortable, large, lovely. I plan to rent this place every time we come back to Paris!

We were two couples from Ottawa, Canada who stayed in this apartment for one week in July 2008. It was fabulous. The elevator was modern and spacious with more than enough room for my electric wheelchair. Olivier was an absolute pleasure to deal with. His collection of jazz and classical CD's was great for evenings sipping on wine with a wonderful cross breeze blowing through the apartment. I also availed myself of his excellent collection of books. An added bonus was the door from the living room which closed off the bedroom area when one couple chose to stay up later. I highly recommend this large, beautiful apartment to anyone but especially a person using a wheelchair who is looking for a very accessible apartment in a great location from which to explore the rest of Paris.

Our Parisian friends couldn't believe our good fortune-- the apartment we rented in May has the best address in Paris, they told us. The location is perfect. Surrounding the legendary square is a vibrant neighborhood, not at all touristy. A short stroll through the arcade and the lovely courtyard of the Hotel de Sully leads to the rue St. Antoine, with two supermarkets and specialty food shops of every kind. The twice-weekly market at Bastille is a joy for food lovers and photographers. The Left Bank is an easy walk, and the metro, with three stops nearby, is a wonder of efficiency. The apartment is even lovelier than the website photos show -- more spacious, with wonderful light and air pouring in from large windows on all sides. The second bedroom afforded perfect privacy for our friend, a light sleeper. The place is so comfortable and well-appointed, with its state-of-the-art appliances, lovely linens, attractive tableware, and fine collection of music and books, that we could have made ourselves at home for months. It is perfectly equipped for cooking, and for gracious entertaining. We also appreciated the washer and dryer, the free telephone, and the computer with a DSL connection. Olivier, the owner (whose English is excellent) was unfailingly available, patient, and accommodating. In every way, our stay in his apartment far exceeded our expectations. We hope to return soon.

We stayed in Olivier's apartment for two weeks and I cannot recommend it highly enough. First, the location is one of the best in Paris...walking or metro distance to everything, or hang out on the Place directly in front. No need to roam far for lovely restaurants, from the highest rating to a lovely local brasserie. The apartment is bright and airy, and filled with beautiful antiques while featuring all of the best modern upgrades in the kitchen, bath and office. We cannot rave enough...only hope that it does not get too booked up for our next visit!

We stayed in Olivier's charming apartment only four nights, but we will certainly come back to stay for a longer period. Situated in an amazing location (in the most fascinating square in Paris, a really peaceful and poetical corner), the apartment is very comfortable, well appointed (even a computer with internet connection), furnished with a very refined taste with antiques, conveying a sense of warmth and peace. Last, but not least, the extra-bed we asked for, for our youngest kid (we were five) was not a featureless folding bed but a real comfortable and cute bed. We thank Olivier from the heart for his care, his kindness and his helpfulness.

My parents and I stayed in Olivier's flat for two nights this past April. We booked very last minute, but Olivier responded quickly and went out of his way to accommodate our arrival and departure times. He even arranged a taxi for us so we wouldn't have to worry about the language barrier. The flat was clean and nicely decorated. The computer with internet access was such a nice addition. It made things very easy for us - there's even a printer! The location was great too - lots of nearby cafes and a great bakery. The only suggestion I would make is to have a hairdryer available - it's nice to NOT have to pack one! I have already recommended this flat to several friends, and will continue to do so. It is a great place to stay in Paris!
Owner response:melanyann suggestion is perfectly valid. we will add a hair dryer straight away.
