Enjoy this two story house located on Beautiful Chief Lake in Manistee county. Step out to the sandy beach, take out the 14' rowboat and catch your dinner, lay on the sculptured lawn, sit around the fire pit, or just sit on the top deck and enjoy the lake.
The house features a full kitchen on both stories, and a full bath. It also offers a full computer desk and high speed wireless internet. Cable TV hookups are supplied in the living room and downstairs with HD DVD Players.
This is a turnkey rental. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Games are even provided for both the kids and adults. A beautiful spiral staircase takes you between floors. All floors are either wood, or tile for easy maintenance. Walk out the basement right to the beach. The rental even includes a 14' rowboat for fishing.

This is an awesome place to rent for a big family vacation! We had 8 adults and 3 children and plenty of room!!!! The 2 story house made it perfect for eveyone to have space to themself yet not to big to lose anyone. The view of the sunset and sunrise were just beautiful! the Kids enjoyed fishing off the dock, caught a fish almost everytime which was pretty exciting for them! The fenced yard helped moms feel safe! We just can't say enough! It was more than we expected! The owners are the nicest, friendlyest people we have ever rented from, they made us feel so welcomed and the house was super clean and had everything you would need and plenty of it! The basket full of information was very helpful! We went to Onekama to have ice cream and watch sunset which was beautiful and a perfect place to see with grandkids! thanks for the tip Jim! Putt Putt in Manistee was very nice and afordable! We had the best first big family vacation! Great Great place to rent! We will be back next year for hope to be a longer time!!! Location is so peaceful! beautiful! Just awesome!!! Thank you again Jim and Amy!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was the perfect place for our family of 4 young kids and our dog. The large yard is entirely fenced in, with the option of removing the fence along the beach front, if desired. The cottage was super-clean and very well stocked with towels, bed linens, dishes, movies, games, comfortable beds, everything needed for a relaxing vacation (washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher, too!). The cottage would also be perfect for 2 families to share, as both levels have separate entrances, kitchens, TVs, beds, and bathrooms. We enjoyed swimming, playing in the sand at the beach, fishing off the dock and in the rowboat, biking around the area, visiting nearby attractions (Ludington, Manistee beach, Sleeping Bear Dunes), listening to loons and cows, and watching sunrises and sunsets from the deck. It's a quiet location; often we were the only ones on the lake. The kids made friends with some friendly neighbours and enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating, and tubing with them. Our dog had the time of his life running around in the yard and swimming in the lake. My husband loved the spacious garage. The location is perfect--quiet and peaceful, but within easy driving distance for day trips to area attractions. Jim and Amy were so welcoming!
