This 3600 square foot secluded lake home was refurbished in 2008. It sits on 1.5 acres of totally fenced, well manicured lawns in one of the most desirable sections of Lake Jackson. Enjoy the sweeping water views from the lawn, patios, decks, screened porch or in colder months, the main floor Great Room by the massive Granite Fireplace. The 900 square foot wrap around deck is a great place to catch the Georgia sun or enjoy the breezes inside the vaulted screened living and dining porch. A gas grill is conveniently located on the deck, just outside the screened porch.

There are several patio areas for relaxing and dining also. A Swim Deck with ladder is attached to the covered boat slip – so feel free to bring your boat or rent one at Martin’s Marina and keep it here!

The Main Floor includes 2 bedrooms, one King, one Queen – each with private Baths – Dining Room with gas fireplace – Kitchen & Great Room with gas fireplace and a Powder Room.

The Lower Level has 2 Bedrooms, both Queen size, which share a Bath – Laundry Room – and another Great Room with Crab Orchid Stone Gas Fireplace and a Wet Bar.

All water sport activities are available on the lake. Fishing is very popular with a Bass Fishing Contest every Friday Night. For a change of pace there are many other activities nearby, such as: Golfing, Hiking, Touring the Antebellum Trail, Antiquing, several State Parks, Dauset Trails Nature Center, Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center, Indian Springs, Jerrell Plantation and of course, some great Bar-B-Que and Catfish Restaurants!

  • We (a group of 7 adults and 3 kids) stayed at this house the week of the 4th of July. The house is wonderful. The layout is great for a group, large places to be together as well as places to "get away". The large screened in porch was where we spent the most time: a place to cool off during the day or to sit and listen to the crickets at night. All the rooms are well furnished as well as have ammenities you wouldn't expect. The owners obviously put a lot of thought into what would help make their guests stay more enjoyable. The kitchen was the biggest surprise. They have all the dishes, pots, pans and cooking untensils you would ever need (and a few you might not). The quality is not the typical "cheapest thing they could find", they are good solid functional items. The yard was huge. We set up a volleyball net in the side yard and went floating off the dock for several hours at least twice every day. I found both owner very pleasant to work with from the first inquiry through check-out. We had a wonderful time at the house and are already checking our calendars to see when we can go back. I have rented several properties over the years from VRBO and found this one to feel the most like a home.
