Why the Owner Chose Racquet Club Estates
This wonderful vacation home is located in The Racquet Club Road Estates, which were built by the Alexander Construction Company between 1959-1962 and designed by William Krisel of Palmer and Krisel Architects. The first homes at Racquet Club Road Estates were completed in 1959, coinciding with space-age optimism, the apex of tailfins, and the height of popularity of the nearby Palm Springs Racquet Club. William Krisel designed the 1225 square foot houses as weekend getaways, on slab with single pane glass and without insulation. The beauty in these houses, however, is the post and beam construction allowing soaring rooflines, an open floor plan, and an indoor/outdoor relationship to the generous 1/4 acre lots dottted with poodled olive trees and fan palms. Though considered modestly sized by today's standards, the houses are perfectly suited for their intended use even today. Much of that feel is due to the ratio of house size to lot size. With almost 90% of the typical 10,000 sf lot given to open space, the properties feel much larger than they are and are perfect for an outdoor lifestyle.
The best coffee and home made pastries and sandwiches in town. Beautiful back garden to watch the locals and have a great cup of expresso.

Hi, I'm Nicki and I live in San Francisco. Although one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, when it's foggy in the city by the Bay, in Palm Springs it's beautiful sun and swaying palm trees. There's nothing more relaxing to spend some time by the pool, have dinner alfresco, play a few hands of poker at the casino and just RELAX!
