SECLUDED HIDEAWAY IN THE HEART OF ANCIENT ATHENS
ENJOY OUR ACROPOLIS OASIS!
Our garden apartment is an oasis hidden within the towering buildings of Athens and isolated from its big city sounds. Enjoy the cool comfort of our secluded court yard. Pick fresh lemons in season. Live Athens then rest and relax in our one bedroom, off-street, air conditioned hideaway.
PERFECT LOCATION FOR YOUR HOLIDAY!
We are located within the Historical Park Area of Athens known as the "Acropoli;" within two and a half city blocks of the Dionysus Theater entrance to the Acropolis and one and a half city blocks from the Acropolis Metro (Subway) Station and the New Acropolis Museum. Nearly all of Athens’ major attractions are but a short walk away; you have no need to take a taxi or to rent a car and rarely will even need to use the subway.
PERFECT FOR YOUR FAMILY OR SMALL GROUP OF FRIENDS!
Our garden apartment is like new - completely renovated and refurnished in Jan 2008. It has a Great Room containing kitchen, living and dining areas; one Bedroom; a Dressing Room, and a Bath Room. We have newly installed oak flooring throughout except for the bathroom which has new ceramic floor and wall tiles. All the kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures are brand new as is the all the furniture. The unit is located on the ground level in the rear of the building away from Athens' famous street noise. Its shady garden with high walls for privacy and security is a virtual oasis providing visual pleasures for both the Great Room and the Bed Room. It is air conditioned for your summer comfort, has central heat to ward off the winter's chill, and can provide sleeping for up to five people.
LIVE ANCIENT ATHENS!
Our location makes discovering the antiquities of Athens, as well as its cultural sites and shopping areas a breeze. No transportation is needed as you will be living where "its all at." The nearby stores, shops, and restaurants of Plaka along with its famous night life are world renowned and available day and night. The Acropolis with the Parthenon and Mars Hill, the ancient Greek Agora, and Hadrian’s Arch are but a very few of many sites of antiquity that are an easy stroll away. The new Acropolis Museum is a must on any list. All of this and much more are just out our front door.
ALL ROUTES LEAD TO OUR ACROPOLIS OASIS!
The Athens Airport, Larissis Railway Station, and the ferry terminals of Piraeus are all easily accessible using Athens’ modern subway system. The azure Aegean beaches of Athens’ Apollo Coast and the forested, sandy, shores of Schinias are readily available by tram or bus. The Athens Sightseeing Public Bus (line number 400) has two stops conveniently located nearby. The Acropolis Metro Station is only a couple of minutes walk away providing fast and easy access to the rest of Athens and its suburbs. You will not need to worry about fighting traffic or flagging down taxis during your stay at our Athens hideaway.
CAREFREE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
We offer a modern air conditioned mini-van with a courteous driver who speaks excellent English should you want to travel outside Athens. Take a day excursion to Delphi, Mycenae, Ancient Corinth, Epidavros, Mountain villages, the Island of Evia and more. Our excursions are private, for your group alone. Why the Owner Chose Athens
My husband and I live in the suburbs of Athens. We purchased and completed renovating this Acropolis hide-away in January 2008. We love the area so much... that while others escape the city on the weekends, we make frequent get-aways into the Historical Center where the apartment is located. Our children Miriam and Nicko love to stroll along the Acropolis Boardwalk and have lunch or dinner in one of the quaint taverns in Plaka. Walking to Thisseo or Monastiraki for an ice-cream or souvalki is another thing we like to do as a family when we are here. The kids also LOVE to take the Athens "Happy Train" for an Athens and Antiquities by Night tour as well as feed the pigeons in the National Gardens. In general... we bought the place because we LOVE the area... and although the Metro is right down the street... it isn't needed at all.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Where do I start? I think the best thing about our place is it's location. It's great to be able to walk out the door any time of day or night and be able to find lot's of things to do. We visit the Acropolis frequently as well as the Flea Market on Sundays. If you send me an email... I'll send you a bunch of information on things to do and see.
Try the in season produce of Greece. You'll be amazed by the rich flavor!

Homeowner Response:
Thank you so much Louann. Your family is wonderful and you were ideal guests. I really admire that you make it a point to travel as a family and see the world together. I hope you come back someday... or maybe your beautiful daughters.. if you dare to risk them being swept off their feet by a savvy Greek man ... as happened to me here one summer!!! LOL. Thank you so, so, so much for everything..and also the gifts for my children ..as I told you.. they loved them! ..and I owe you some photos! Best regards and Appreciation, Natalie

"Perfect apartment in an excellent location. The Metro was conveniently located near by as well as supermarkets, restaurants and shops. My wife, children and I had a wonderful time in Athens and this excellent apartment made our stay. The owners were so helpful and very polite. I highly recommend staying here... the location is perfect."

"A real value for ones money! We had a fantastic stay! Natalie was so helpful especially when my wife slipped at the Acropolis and hurt her leg. Natalie came straight over and arranged all the medical treatment. The apartment is located right in the place any visitor to Athens would want to be. The New Acropolis Museum is next door... and the Acropolis, just a few blocks down the street. Plaka (the Historic Old town) also is two blocks away. Despite the noise of Athens, this apartment was very, very quiet as it opens up to a private garden. It was extremely clean and well equipped... not to mention, decorated gorgeously!"

Homeowner Response:
Thank you Susan, Barry and Elizabeth! We do hope you come to Greece again! You were/are wonderful guests. Please use us as a reference for any other vacation rental you wish to secure in the future. Also.. Elizabeth.. my daughter found out about your "Hard Rock Cafe" Athens T-shirt.. and now wants one also. However, I do agree with your mother... it would be more impressive written in Greek! Best Regards.. and a BIG THANK YOU! ~Natalie (30 something), Vassili (30 something), Miriam (12) and Nicko (8)

Our family of 3 stayed at the Acropolis Oasis for 6 nights The apartment is centrally located and within walking disatance of most of the sites that we wanted to visit (We used the Metro only once during our stay to get to the National rcheological Museum). For those who prefer using the Metro, the Acropolis station is just 3 blocks away. There is a supermarket nearby, so if you decide to eat in, it is very easy to do so.The apartment is warm and welcoming so you might chose to eat in! Natalie and Vassili are caring and concerned apartment owners who want to insure that their guests have the best time possible during their stay. They addressed all of our questions and greatly contributed to us having a wonderful stay in Athens!!

This was an excellent choice for a mature woman and her 2 grown daughters to stay 4 nights. We walked everywhere except for using a taxi to the Archeological Museum. Excellent location! Natalie was very helpful and we enjoyed her artistically decorated apartment. We are recommending this apartment to all friends.
