Rented both the top and the bottom of the duplex for a big group trip. Couldn't have been happier with the place. Great location, great house. And the nicest owners ever! Thanks again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at the rental 2/24-26 and had a great time! Amenities are not new but renal property is well maintained and clean. The best part was the wood stove which kept us very warm! Logs are provided generously by the owner.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family and I had a wonderful time at the house. This was our third time staying at "The Chalet" . The owners are very responsive and are continually thinking of how to make your stay more enjoyable. It was beautiful and perfect access to everything in Killington and even Rutland. We would go back in a heartbeat! Look forward to returning next year... This is exactly the place you dream of when you think of yourself stealing away for a ski and alpine retreat. Uncompromised, with three bedrooms, two full baths and fully appointed this chalet unit provides all the comforts and space of home. Upon arrival at this idyllic setting, the drive and parking are cleared for your convenience to easy and inviting enter to your home away from home. The owner has supplied all of the little things that you would normally have to bring upon arrival or run out to the general store before you use the bathroom. You feel as if they are taking care of you. When you awake the next morning you are overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountain in front of you. You may just decide to stay home and drink coffee while the A-team runs off to ski Killington just 10 minutes away. I'll have hot soup ready when they get home. I plan to rent this unit every year!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Nice, clean, warm, but Very noisy because of upper level being rent separatly : night 1 not OK because of party till 12 am on upper level playing Guitar Heroe, Night 2 perfect because nobody on upper level, Night 3 horrible because of non stop (really) party on upper level (jacuzzi party, Guitar Heroe again etc..). In summary, to party not to rest with youngs kids.Owner response: We do our best to screen those interested in renting, but can not predict how all will behave. We specifically state that we do not rent to groups under the age of 25 and prefer to rent to families. We truly want people to enjoy their stay in our home. We offered this renter the option to return in the upper unit with a free stay. Best, Lori and Dean

We stayed at Lori and Dean's over Thanksgiving this year. We had a wonderful time. As advertised, the kitchen was fully stocked with enough dishes and cookware for a family of 10. The accommodations were warm and cozy and the dining room table was the perfect size for a family of 10. We don't even have a table that big in my own home so it was a treat for us to all sit comfortably around the table and enjoy our Thanksgiving meal. The beds were comfy and warm and the house was clean and bright. The owners were immediately responsive to all our questions and concerns and seemed to truly care that our Thanksgiving vacation was special. Would absolutely recommend and stay again next year. Thanks for living up to the description. We had a great time and you guys made it so easy to rent last year. We're booking again and just wanted to add a comment (not sure if we want everyone to know about it though, but we had to give you kudos). We might rent a snowmobile for a week and bring it up this time. Thanks again, Greg and JeanDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had such a great vacation!! The house was bright, warm and cozy. We had all the comforts of home. Our kids loved the bunk beds and ski school. We loved the house, the scenic views, the skiing, the restaurants and all the Killington activities. The owners were wonderful and our security deposit was promptly returned. We can't wait to go back!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
