Comfort, convenience and charm in the Historic District of San Miguel de Allende. This restored section of an 18th century hacienda is a five minute walk from the Central Jardin, three minutes from the tranquil 10 acre Benito Juarez Park and five minutes from the acclaimed Instituto Allende. (Because of our close-in, convenient location, we sometimes go months without using our car!) House is in a very safe neighborhood with both Mexican families and foreign residents.
The living areas, with their 15 foot high ceilings are light drenched from skylights and treated to the quiet sound of the fountain and pond in the interior courtyard. Three bedrooms and two baths, living, dining and kitchen areas are all on one level. In addition, there is a comfortable, shaded rooftop terrace with a close-up view of the famous Parroquia Church and a built-in propane BBQ grill. The kitchen and both baths have recently been totally updated with modern amenities, while retaining their traditional charm. A circular stair leads to an office loft.
Our housekeeper, Socorro, comes five days a week (two hours each morning) to clean, make beds, wash dishes and do laundry. Our English speaking Manager, Lino, is available to answer questions and offer suggestions about what to do in San Miguel. Rental fees include maid service, utilities, cable TV, wireless broadband internet connection and local telephone service.
Commercial van service is available to pick you up from the airport and bring you to your "casa" in the Historic District of San Miguel de Allende. In easy walking distance are restaurants, galleries, shops, parks, local markets and wonderful things and places waiting to be discovered!
(This casa is VERY conveniently located and comfortably appointed. We have chosen to price its rental very modestly so as to keep it occupied and keep our housekeeper happily busy. Enjoy!)
