This is a very nice and very clean 1200 square foot 3 bedroom 1.5 bath 2 level home, located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska's playground. We are 3 minutes to downtown Soldotna, and a perfect base for all your recreation needs on the Kenai Peninsula. Peace and quiet on one acre of property, to provide you with a nice, relaxing vacation.

We have available for your fishing convenience; plenty of freezer space, some Rods and reels, hip waders and some rain gear.

  • We just returned from "Home Away From Home" (17-24 July) and we had a wonderful time. We got to meet the owner, who lives nearby. She is very helpful and personable. She definitely has a handle on making her property very comfortable. I would suggest that you check-in first and see what is there for your use before you go buy anything, because most everything you will need is already there, even shampoo, blow-dryer, laundry soap, sandwich bags, umbrellas, fish net, etc, etc. It is truly 5 minutes to town and fishing on the Kenai River boardwalks. It is a very quiet and private location. We had moose and their babies in the yard almost every day. The home has only 1 shower (slight correction to the VBRO website) but is was not a problem at all for our family of four. There are 2 queen beds in each of two bedrooms and a twin and fold-out bed in the third room. We would definitely recommomend this vacation home and we hope to return there in the future.
