We had a wonderful time in paris. Franck is fantastic, the check in and out was flawless. We have stayed in the area before, and will always stay in the sixth when we return. The apartment was very nice, just what we needed for a week. though the ceiling upstairs is a little low, but quaint. perfect location, great place, fantastic trip. thanks. We stayed last week at this charming apartment within walking distance to nearly every famous Paris attraction. (Need one of the many nearby metro stations for an easy trip to Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, and Champs Elysee.) It's an easy walk to Luxembourg Gardens (right behind the apartment), as well as many charming cafes, markets, and tourist shops. Just a couple of blocks to the Seine. Very close to Notre Dame and to the Louvre. The only thing that would keep me from renting here again is the lack of privacy in the living room where the entire wall is glass and is only covered in semi-sheer drapes that face multiple apartment windows. I felt like they could see right in at night so we always felt like we needed to retreat to the low-ceilinged upstairs bedroom for any privacy at night. (Note: I am 5'2" and could touch the bedroom ceiling and still have a bent elbow, plus I had to bend to get underneath the shower head. Nothing can be done about these problems!) The apartment is extremely tastefully done (Hermes boxes for storing lightbulbs! Love it!). The courtyard, while pretty, was useless as there was no little table or chairs, plus there was a note saying that we were not allowed to eat out there, which was disappointing since we were looking forward to our coffee in the mornings there and a romantic dinner or two out there for our 30th anniversary. I loved the safe feel of the entire area and particularly the apartment, which was behind a walled area and only the people living in our building had access to it. It was very, very quiet in the entire area but particularly so behind our wall! We loved it and would recomment the location to anyone as long as they are okay with the ceiling height of the bedroom and with the drapes in the living room. Fantastic location, can't say enough good things about it! The caretaker greeted us promptly upon our arrival and we received our security deposit back immediately upon check-out, which we appreciated. Overall a fantastic experience and one we will never forget!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent many, many weeks trying to pick the best apartment for our one week stay in Paris and we ultimately chose this one. There were some surprises however that one considering this apartment may want to know. First is the description “the apartment is completely silent and QUIET”, which is not entirely true. When a noisy car or motorcycle does use the street, you can hear it. There is a large door that slams shut whenever a resident of the building enters or leaves. Other issues that should be considered when comparing this apartment to the hundreds of others available in Paris: The apartment is rather dark. The bedroom and bathroom are not well lit, but the real issue is the clothes closet – bring a flashlight if you want to find your clothes! The bedroom can be warm at night and there is no window upstairs in order to supply fresh air. The bed is very comfortable. The stairs leading to the upstairs are narrow and slippery which would be a challenge for a large person or the elderly. Regarding the bathroom there is very little countertop space around the sink, the shower has headroom issues, and is also very narrow! The supplied 4 towels are small, about half the size of the bath towels we have in the States. There is a towel warmer. Although the photograph of the kitchen in the apartment advertisement shows a clothes washer, there is not one. I think the most misleading description is that “it opens onto a private cobble stoned courtyard”. That implies to me that there is a front door and another door from the apartment to the courtyard. It is not private and it is the access to the only door of the apartment. Anyone gaining entrance to the building can walk straight into the courtyard and look into the apartment. The courtyard is dark, dirty, moldy, and not decorated. When considering this apartment to rent, consider that others usually have free wireless internet, a computer, and a telephone at no additional charge, as well as a washer. (“On request” in the apartment description means “extra cost”). Most will allow your payments to be made with a credit card. In closing, the logistics of communicating with the owner and making the PayPal payments went well. Franck, the local contact, was on time and most accommodating. My deposit was returned at checkout. If we had known about the “surprises”, we may have rented elsewhere, but we have no regrets. And neither will you, as long as you know beforehand what to expect.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear John, I am so sorry of yours unhappiness about your stay in my unit and would like to thank you about some constructive critic you have done. Let me answer to you, point after point. The noisy car that use the street, you can hear it…. It is not possible: the apartment is on a courtyard opposite side and far away from the street and 100% of guests say that we do not hear anything and it is the most quiet apartment they visited! Large door that slams shut whenever a resident enters or leaves. It is not possible: the door has a air-bag system that help the door to close slowly! Apartment is rather dark. Thank you for that information, nobody tell us about that before you, so we’ll add a light to better see inside of the clothes closet. Bedroom can be warm at night and there is no window. There is special fan in the closet, did you use it? Stairs leading to the upstairs are narrow and slippery. Must not be a surprise for you: there some very good pictures of them on the vrbo site! Whatever, we had a project to change the stairs but the guests like it so much this way, so… Bathroom very narrow! There a lot of picture of that on the vrbo site, maybe the point is that you should have been chosen a larger apartment much more expensive in Paris. Our unit is one of the best rate of its category! Supplied 4 towels are small. We usually give the guests 2 small and 2 large towels. Apartment advertisement picture shows a clothes washer, there is not one. On the vrbo equipment listing it is clearly written NO WASHER. Courtyard is dark, dirty, moldy and not decorated. Sorry of that you are right: our condo company just changed a month again and the new one has not yet done the cleaning/gardening courtyard works. On this point I can provide recent pictures of the 17e century courtyard clean and nice again. The courtyard is reserve to the condo so at least 10 persons can go through! But whatever they rarely go because the 2 only apartments on this courtyard are mine, that mean in the other one is a American vrbo guest. Free wireless internet, a computer, and a telephone… This point must not be a surprise, on the contract you received and signed it is written the price of every option. We adopted this politic because some renter do not want the telephone or wifi and this way its helps them to spend less.

My wife and I plus our son and his wife recently visited Paris and stayed in Nathalie's apartments on Rue Conde. We found them to be very comfortable and particularly pleasant. Being on the ground floor and adjacent to a private courtyard they remained cool and exceptionally quiet throughout our 2 week stay. The kitchens had been recently renovated and were well equipped. The larger apartment had a reasonably large and tastefully decorated sitting room and regularly accommodated the 4 of us with ease and comfort. The other apartment was smaller but still perfectly adequate for a couple. However, I feel that the best feature of these apartments is their location. Situated in the center of the Odeon district you are surrounded by numerous exciting venues which give you a real taste of Paris. Just out the door are countless shop, restaurants and places of amusement in every direction. Just down the street is the Famous Boulevard St. Germain with its cafes and shops as far as the eye can see. The fabulous Luxemburg Gardens is only about 3 blocks in the opposite direction. A 15 minute walk towards the seine river brings you to the exciting latin quarter with its countless places to eat and shop. The Sorbon university and the great Notre Dame Cathedral are also nearby. There are numerous other sites of interest and pleasure that we experienced but the best thing of all was that they were all within easy walking distance from Nathalies' great apartments on Rue Conde. I highly recommend that you try out this situation for yourself.Recommended for: Sightseeing

We had picked this apartment because of the location. Communication throughout the process was excellent. As our arrival time approached Franck, who was to be our contact, provided clear details of our arrival and even arranged for a taxi with our name on a placard service at the airport. We cannot speak highly enough of Franck's support. He even had gone outside and stood in a parking place for our taxi to park. He is just fantastic. He insured we understood all of the apartment necessities, and got up up on the wifi. The apartment is fine for 2 folks. The extra downstairs pull out couch is comfortable and it is very quite at night. Within 4 blocks you have all of the food needs, groceries, wine shop, fruit stand, everything. Nathalie stopped by just to check in with us because she happened to be in Paris and was delightful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My partner and I stayed here for one week in Jan 2012. The apartment could not have been nicer. The location was ideally situated in the heart of St. Germain and was very close to both the Metro and the RER line. Everything you need is within 3 blocks - Market, Bakery, Florist and many, many restaurants. The bed was extremely comfortable and the living area and kitchen were well appointed with everything we needed. Nathalie was a pleasure as was Joelle who met us on time at the apartment. The only possible drawback that we noted was that we did not see an air conditioning unit but that was not an issue in January. We highly recommend this apartment and will be returning next year! Thank you again.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I find it hard to believe you can find a place with a better location. The Odeon metro is close and there are lots of shops and restaurants all around. The apartment was nicely updated and decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is modern and very nice. The only drawback is I had to duck in the shower since I am 6'1". My wife & I really enjoyed our time here. Both Joelle and Nathalie were wonderful. Thanks.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I have traveled to Paris 6-7 times over the last 10 years, and Nathalie's Rue de Condé Paris apartment has been the best apartment I have stayed so far. The location is in my opinion one of the best that a traveler may want while in Paris the 6th arrondisement at the middle of Saint Germaine de Pres. The area is filled with young people coming and going and there is life until the late night. We enjoyed walks at the Luxembourg gardens just a few steps away and all the nice streets of the area. There is a metro station (Odeon) just a few steps away so if you know how to use the excellent Paris Metro (we got a Navigo Decouverte card which allows one week unlimited metro rides for one week starting on Mondays) you will be very happy with this location too. Many small bistros and restaurants in the area as well as markets, groceries, ATM machines makes it very convenient.(please try Le Comptoir a very elegant and chick restaurant but be prepared to wait to be seated...is that good). The apartment has all the amenities a couple in love will need for a pleasant stay, including internet. The bedroom is very quiet and the bed itself is luxuriously comfortable despite the busy street area. My only warning would be the bathroom shower. If you are more than 5' 10'' tall (I am 5'' 7'' tall) you will need to bend inside the tub to shower, and definitively it can be a real problem for persons above 6 feet tall. Other than that we loved this romantic petit apartment in the heart of my favorite area in Paris and we plan to keep returning over and over again... thanks to Nathalie and her manager Joelle for a very happy rental.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

This was our first trip to Paris and WOW, what an apartment. It was was it said it was going to be. Quiet, in the heart of Paris and close to everything. Having no knowledge of Paris, this was a great location for us. We were able to walk every where and that we did. This apartment was clean, great amenitites, and extremely quiet. I would definitely come here again. It even had a hair dryer for your use - one less thing needed in the suitcase! Joelle was great to work with and was available for assistance if you needed her. She was there outside the apartment waiting for us and was so flexible with our check out time when we were leaving. The bistros around the apartment are great and the shopping along Saint Sulpice is great. I would highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I had planned a 40th anniversary week in Paris and were so very lucky to have found this dear little apartment. It was all that we could have asked for - quiet, very charming, in the heart of the Latin Quarter, super convenient and very well appointed. I loved the mirrored bathroom with its little bathtub ,the shocking pink staircase to the loft bedroom and the smoky mirrors in the living room that visually doubled the space. It was beyond charming to come home to after a long day of walking and touristing in this magic City. We miss it already .Recommended for: Romantic getaway

Well first and foremost I would like to say that the owner of this apartment Nathalie was not pleasant to deal with. Her emails had a very rude tone, she was snappy, and she also forgot to add in that we pay the fees that her bank charges for transfers on top of ours. It would have been fine but she did not have that in the listing when we booked this place, so that bothered me. However the woman who meets you - the one that you actually deal with while in Paris, Joelle was so incredibly sweet, funny and helpful. I key broke in the door while we were there and she traveled in the freezing cold to bring as a new one, and didnt seem a bit put out about it. She had great shopping tips, helped us with maps and called back very promptly any time we needed something. She has a great personality and was one of the highlights of our trips. The place itself is very small, not meant for really tall people, but it was very cute and comfortable. The furniture was nice, she had cable tv, and the bed was amazing, The internet didn't work for us, but that was OK because we were gone most of the time anyways. I also thought it was nice that she had electrical adapters for my electronics. The kitchen is small, so not more than one person in there at a time. There is no oven, so plan on making everything you want to cook on the stove top. That shouldn't be a problem for most, I just like to cook a lot whether I am on vacation or not. Anyhow she had pretty much everything else that we needed in the apartment. I have been to Paris many times and this was a great location. You can walk to the Notre Dame , the Eiffel tower and many other attractions. If it was summer time when I was there, we probably would never have used public transportation because its so close to everything. There was lots of cute little shops and tons of great places to eat. The neighbors were so sweet and the building is very safe, but she has a safe for your valuables just to be sure. The 6th arr is very nice. You can walk in the streets any hours of the night and be perfectly safe in my opinion. I would stay here again, and I do recommend this to others. I am only taking off one star for the owners bad attitude, and because my boyfriend at the time was uncomfortable due to the fact that he kept hitting his head while walking around upstairs because he is so tall.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Although we have visited Paris several dozen times we have never enjoyed ourselves as much as we did on our last occasion, due in large measure to Nathalie's marvelous apartment. The location is to die for, being at the center of the exciting ODEON region. You walk out the door and are surrounded by numerous, bistros, cafes, restaurants and places of entertainment which never seem to close. At the end of the block you have the beautiful LUXEMBOURG gardens where we walked every morning and then stopped at a neaby cafe on our way back. The apartment is modern, fully equipped and very charmingly furnished. Being on the ground floor with its' adjacent private, shaded courtyard the apartment remained very comfortable both day and night despite the above average temperatures in the city during our month-long stay. Both the owner(Nathalie) and the manager (Joelle) were extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful throughout. We could list numerous other pleasant features here but prefer instead to highly recommend that you experience them for yourself.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

We spent two weeks in June in this charming pied-a-terre. The location was perfect: close to Metro, great restaurants in all price ranges, markets and bakeries. We especially enjoyed the deli on Rue de Busi/Rue de Seine. They prepare delicious food daily for take out which can be heated in the micro. No need for cooking. The apartment is absolutely immaculate, cozy, romantic and decorated wonderfully. The location could not have been better. My husband and I just ADORED this apartment during our stay in May 2009. As a young couple, this was THE PLACE to be because it was close to the night-life of the Latin Quarter without being in the middle of madness. Other comments mention how quiet the place is and we couldn't agree more. We accidently slept until almost 11:00 am one day because nothing woke us up! And the best part is when you step out into the street, you're in the middle of great restaurants, art boutiques, a cinema, and a metro station. With the amazing location and the quietness of the apartment, you truly have the best of both worlds with this place! The apartment itself is very lovely and has everything you could want. We even stayed in one night and cooked dinner because it was so cozy and felt like home. The only downside we could find was the low ceiling in the shower. My husband is 6 feet tall and had to situate himself between two of the ceiling beams so he wouldn't bump his head. But other than that, we couldn't find one single thing wrong with this lovely and charming apartment. Hands down, when we go back to Paris, I truly hope that this place is available again to rent. The owner was responsive and a pleasure to work with. This was our first experience with VRBO and we were quite impressed with it. We're officially converted!Did you find this review helpful? This is a charming, very comfortable apartment in the heart of the best area in Paris - walking distance to everything! The interior courtyard makes it quiet and peaceful; great bed, great shower & bathroom, useful little kitchen & comfortable living/dining space - ideal for a couple. The ONLY drawback of this apt. was no phone access to make outgoing local calls, (can only receive calls.) But it was very good to have unlimited internet access. We highly recommend this as the perfect Parisian get-away!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Very lovely, well appointed, small duplex in the most perfect location in Paris. Right down the block from the Luxembourg Gardens on one side and St.Germain and the Seine on the other, you can walk everywhere. And, since it is on the interior courtyard, it also has the plus of being very quiet. A 9-night stay at the Rue de Conde flat was idyllic. It is close to everything that we love in Paris, including several wonderful restaurants. The size is perfect for two people and the quiet (in such a busy area) is truly exceptional. The apartment is undergoing some upgrades next year, including A/C, which will make it even more attractive. The location is superb. It is indeed a few minutes' walk from the sites mentioned, as well as from Odeon metro (w/ 3 bus lines and taxis). And it is truly very quiet. The decor is elegant, and the bed is fantastic! If you're 6' tall or more, the shower could be a challenge. An oscillating fan might have improved air flow, which is minimal at in the BR because the only door/window are on the ground level. The only negative for us was the hefty security deposit, which we had never before encountered on VRBO in US or abroad. We would be very happy to stay here again, and would recommend it to our friends and colleagues.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It is a really charming place, in an extremely quiet district. Near to this Dupleix we can find a large numbers of restaurants in the historical heart of Paris.
