  My wife and I greatly enjoyed our week at The Carriage House.The bed was the best we've been in for a long time.We appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we did a fair amount of cooking there and found everything we needed.It was beautifully decorated as well.I'm sure anyone staying there will enjoy it as much as we did.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  As good as it gets! Both the property and location cannot be beat. Close to restaurants. Very short walk to the mountain shuttle. Terrific views.

  My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean and very cute. Great location to easily jump on the bus to Mt. Crested Butte. It is the last stop on the way up and the first stop on the way down. Hands down, we would stay here again!

  We are a family of four and had a wonderful stay in the Carriage House. The house is small, but it worked well for my wife and I and our two boys (ages 12 and 14). Everything about this property is an A+. It is clean, beautifully decorated and built, and the location is the best in CB. It's 100 yards from the bus stop to go to the ski mountain. It's also a two block walk to the center or town. The views from the living/dining area are amazing. Additionally, the care taker (Adrianne) lives in town and was extremely helpful answering all our questions. I would highly recommend the Carriage House.

  Had an amazing time in Crested Butte staying at this little carriage house. We had two couples and had ample room and facilities to have a very fun and cozy time. The views from the house are very nice and the location in the city is central to everything. Also, there is a very close by bus stop to take you to the slopes, which is a very short ride from this location. The kitchen is very nice. The remote-controlled fire place was a nice touch. Also, the sauna built in to the downstairs shower is phenomenal.

  The photos I saw online of this cozy cottage were enticing, but even they could not capture the full magic and peacefulness of this place! Carriage House is a warm and cozy respite furnished with family treasures and high-end amenities. Situated conveniently near town, CH provides easy access to shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. The mountain vistas are exquisite!

  We recently stayed at The Carriage House for a long weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed it! After looking at just about every option in CB we decided on The Carriage House based on price and amenities and were not disappointed. We reviewed the pictures, description and other guest comments and feel that the property is appropriately descibed. Although cozy, it was more than enough room for my husband and me and would have been perfect for our family of four. As other guests have described, it might be a bit tight for four adults. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the appointments are top notch and attention to detail was perfect. It is important to note that there is no kitchen/dining room table but there is a kitchen island with stools that worked just fine. We felt that it was an easy walk into town (less than 10 mins) and actually enjoyed being a few streets removed from the main shopping area. Besides, we would have missed out on the fantastic view if we'd been any closer. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we'd highly recommend The Carriage House to all.

  My wife booked this house (apartment) for our stay for the week. There were three of us and our lab. Myself, wife, and 13 year old son. First, the good -- the apartment is located just past the comfort zone to walking to the main area of restaurants etc, althgough it can be done in good weather. We walked one day and was not to far. However, for most trips to restaurants you will want to drive. The shuttle to the Ski mountain is right around the corner. The apartment is well appointed and nicely built and decorated. (Although your ingress and egress is in an alley.) The bad-- wow is this apartment small. I haven't stayed in such a cramped space since college days. If you want to hear everything that is going on in the house (foot steps, commode, TV, etc.), this is the place. The actual garage is locked and you can't park your car. (I think someone lives there when Apt. rented out.) You can park your car in the alley or on a distant street. There is construction next door so expect to be awaken early to hammers, conversations, and a radio. Apparently, all the homes around are built with a gargae. In this location they built the gargae (apt) but have not built the house yet. The master bed is small and not very comfortable. I am 6 ft and 230 lbs and just didnt have enough room on the bed with my wife. Never got a good nights rest. The upstairs twin beds are small for a thirteen year old and better suited for a child under 10 yrs old. There is no kitchen table, but a stainless table with stools stored underneath. Everything has a place an not much extra space. (We had to store coolers outside, empty suitcases etc, in the car.) There is a couch and two leather wood frame chairs (not very comfortable). Unless you put three on the couch there is not really any place to sit comfortably. It made it difficult to have a movie night or to lounge. Space is tight. The entry way opens directly to master bedroom and two people cannot maneuver in entryway (taking off shoes etc.) Master bedroom is small. The one upside is the master bath had a steamist which was very nice. Conclusion -- This is a very nice Garage Apartment. Nice finish out and decorations, but it is a garage apartment. I had expected a house, not sure of sq ft but think is less than 900. If small space is good for you then this is an excellent choice. TV, sound system, appliance, bathrooms, location, heat/air all very nice. I rated as a fair mainly due to the size.

  Owner response: Thank you for your positive comments. The Carriage House is beautifully finished, decorated, and furnished in an eco-friendly (5 star rating) manner. It is less than 300 yards from town (our 3 & 5 year old walk it everyday), parking is 10 feet from the front door, top of the line pillow top matresses and luxury quality sheets and bedding provided with standard standard twins and standard queen, plenty of storage space under the beds, and two leathered, mahogany safari chairs from Kenya compliment the couch. The Carriage House is a two-story house (garage is not available to guests) with two bedrooms and two baths located on a quaint alley way (instead of the bigger streets with more cars) with the most amazing views in all of CB!

  The location is outstanding because of unobstructed views of Mt. Crested Butte and a short walk to downtown. The kitchen is new and very nice. The living area is pretty small.The photo of the house is somewhat misleading since half of the first floor is unavailable to renters. The master has a queen size bed and a small, but very nice bathroom. Upstairs has 2 single beds and a nice, but even smaller bath that is right off the kitchen. 4 middle aged, pampered and spoiled adults would be cramped. A couple with 2 kids would find it just right.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

  Owner response: The Carriage House is built to be eco-friendly, extremely efficient and cozy with every inch of space used wisely. It is extremely luxurious and has absolutely the most fabulous views and location in Crested Butte town! Please note that the the other half of the first floor is a garage -- shown in the photo on the website.

  This is our third time to Crested Butte and 3rd time in your awesome house! We have had the BEST time again for our Spring Break. It has been sunny and beautiful all week, but a snowstorm is coming tonight... perfect ending! We love this friendly little town and hope to experience it in the summer sometime. We loved seeing the Carriage House from the Silver Queen Lift! We'll miss it. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
