I've just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Trahan. The condo is clean, spacious, and has everything you need. The area is perfect since it's close to town but doesn't have all the cruise ship traffic. We practically had the pool to ourselves even though it's peak season- what's not to love about that! The views from the condo are beautiful- you can't imagine how blue the water is and pictures just don't do it justice. I loved having my morning coffee on the balcony as we made plans for the day and watching the sunset in the evenings with a drink by the pool. Mark was so helpful, as were Kelley and Fernando. I can't wait for a return visit!

We just had a great family vacation! We had to delay for a day and Mark was great! He was so helpful, Thanks Mark, you were awesome! The pictures don't do this place justice. Great to wake up to the BIG windows and sunshine! This was one of my best birthdays ever. It's not if we will be back, but when. This is one of the best places we have stayed in all of our travels. The only problem was the vacation was not long enough! Is it ever? We will be back with more of our family!

My family and I stayed at Mark and Daisy's condo in August 2011. The condo was beautiful!! It was very clean and spacious. It was located very close to town but far away enough to avoid all the craziness of tourism. The views are incredible from the balcony!! We snorkeled everyday and saw an array of aquatic life! The pool and grounds are very well maintained as well as the other surrounding condo's. We had a fantastic time!! I am sure we will visit again. Thanks Mark!!
Owner response:Thanks Jodi! I am glad your family enjoyed it...come back! We saw dolphins 8/28 30 yards off shore while we were snorkeling...amazing.

If you like hard pillows, uncomfortable beds and false advertising, This is your place! Owner accused us of leaving the place a mess and painting the walls...What the heck Nothing could be further from the truth! I personally made sure all the trash was disposed of and the house was clean. Owner takes deposit and then plays games with you to try and get it back! Owner states there are plenty of TV channels including US major networks. US TV network channels did not work the entire week! Horrible experience. Take my advice and find somewhere else to stay.
Owner response:To our possible future renters. Out of 45 reviews of our home... ALL of them were rated by our guests as 5 STARS including the guests who were in after this unhappy renter. Our property manager which inspects our home after every guest said there were issues with our condo that appeared to come from this renter. The renter said he was not responsible for the damage and I refunded the security deposit in FULL. As for our beds and pillows....the beds are all Sealy Posturpedic (I think they’re pretty comfy!). As for the network channels… we get the New York City networks beamed to our Satellite Dish as well as hundreds of other channels, including 30 Movie channels. There was a rare problem with the Dish Satellite Network signal from NY four of the days this renter stayed at our home affecting only the network channels. Thousands of customers were affected by it. We strive for very happy guests! And our reviews show that…thanks for considering us!

The Casa Trahan was spectaculer!!! The rooms were gorgeous with so much space you couldn't ask for more!! Everything you needed to just walk in and start living was right there!! The pool was perfect, always clean and we had it to ourselves for the entire trip (although we would have shared) It was like we had our own private pool!!! Snorkeling in front of the condo was some of the best we have ever done and we have been to Cozumel several times and are always looking for great reef locations. We saw everything you always hope to see right infront of the condo!! We will definately be back and will tell anyone going to the Island to stay at the Casa Trahan!!!! Our only regret was leaving to come home!! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!
Owner response:Shawna i am glad your party of 8 had the room they needed. Glad the snorkelers had their fill as well! Come back and see us again...thanks for the great review!

Marazul offered some of the best snorkeling on the island. We snorkeled daily and saw more things behind the condo than we did on our 3 reef tour. The condo accomodations were fabulous (better than described). The location was great as it was not far from town yet away from the cruise ship crowds. The condo was stocked with anything you may need to mix your drinks to cook an elaborate dinner. The grounds were well kept and the pools were cleaned daily. The best looking water of any of the condos you could see from the balcony (which we had to ourselves all week). Which gives an outstanding view of the water and its beauty. The passing boats and cruise ships were a fun spectacle. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The layout worked well for the 6 of us. Privacy was certainly not an issue as it seemed we were the only ones there. Only by the movement of the cars in the parking lot was it determined that others must have been there as well. We had a fabulous time and look forward to returning to marazul.
Owner response:I am glad you and the gang had a great time....the snorkeling gets better and better as time goes by...Hurrcane Wilma really knocked it back a few years ago but mother nature always brings it back! Come back soon, thanks for the kind words!

We were fortunate enough to stay at Casa Trahan the week of April 3rd. The condo was immaculately clean, professionally maintained, tastefully furnished and even larger than anticipated. The building was also designed to allow the island breezes to flow through every room. The pool and hot tub were also in great shape. The snorkeling in front of the condo was excellent. We saw large barracuda, eels, octopus, rays, and countless reef fish. The coral on the rock walls was beautiful. A nice treat without having to leave the property. We also watched dolphins surface on numerous occasions throughout the week. Taxis/vans run continuously in front of the condo. It never took us more than 2 two minutes to flag one down. A trip to town generally cost about 80 pesos (we had a group of 5) at took probably 5 minutes. The security and building maintenance guys were great. We have never felt more secure. We will definitely return on future trips to Cozumel and can strongly recommend the condo without any reservations. As for activities off property, consider spearfishing with Leo (spearfishingtoday.com). We went out twice with Leo and had a fantastic time. Take your fish to La Morena for an incredible dinner (and it doesn't get any cheaper!).
Owner response:Erik thanks for kind words...come back again...there is a frequent stayer program!

My husband and I stayed at the Marazul home during the last week of December. We were able to spend Newyears in Cozumel and had a fun time and also very relaxing. Casa Trahan a fantastic place to stay. We loved it! The rooms were spacious and the whole place was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. It made us feel at home with our own personal kitchen which included a coffee maker, stove, kitchen utensils, cookingware etc. There was your own personal beach if you didn't want to go anywhere for the day, and you could cool off in the ocean or the swimming pool on site. There were some days when it was just my husband and I laying out at the pool enjoying the quietness and warm weather. It was very secure and you felt safe. The views are breathtaking from the minute you walk in the door and see the view of the ocean from the windows in the master bedrooms and family room! We spent the mornings drinking coffee from the balcony overlooking the ocean while watching cruise ships, went snorkling right in front of the condoe and then at night drove 10 minutes to the center of town for dinner. Dinners included: La Veranda, La Choza,Pepes Grill beaches: Mr.Sanchos, Coconuts. The owners at Casa Trahan provided extraordinary customer service, including personal communication, when needed, and very helpful information about the island of Cozumel. They also provided a list of restaurants (which were excellent) that we tried. We loved it here and highly recommend this condo!! We can't wait to go back! Thank you Mark and Daisy!

We loved our stay at the condo. It was very bearutifl and very clean. The views and pool was beautifl. There were no crowds and we felt like we had the place to our self. We are scuba divers and we walked next door to Pepe Scuba everyday for diving. When we weren't diving we were snorkeling in front of the condo. In the evening we drove the short distance into town and had dinner. It was a wonderful vacation that we won't soon forget. We hope to go back very soon.

We are SO glad we chose Cozumel for our spring break trip, and SO glad we rented this awesome condo instead of staying at an all-inclusive hotel (which would have given us half the space at twice the price)! Cozumel had so much fun, beauty, charm, great food and friendly people to offer without being the crazy drunken party town we feared Playa or Cancun would be. Our two teenage boys LOVED having their own rooms, and loved that a couple times, after a full day of scuba diving or pyramid-climbing or boogie-boarding on the east side of the island, they were able to stay home and eat frozen pizza (while we cooked up some yummy fresh shrimp!) instead of going out again for dinner. The condo is huge and beautiful and well equipped, and I'm very glad we ended up here and not at the south end of the island so far from town. We rented a jeep and had a riot learning our way around the island. We introduced our boys to scuba and WOW we were all blown away by the dive at Palancar Reef. Love it, love it, love it there! Can't wait to go back, and I'd definitely stay at Casa Trahan again and recommend it to friends. Thanks, Mark! :)

We just returned to Michigan after spending a week at the Trahan casa in Cozumel. Our stay couldn't have been better! The condo was spacious and beautifully decorated, as promised. The owner was easy to work with and even purchased a high chair since he knew our grandson was traveling with us. Fernando and Kelley were both very helpful, and the maid service was efficient and friendly. We would highly recommend renting this condo for your next trip to Cozumel. Thanks for a great trip, Mark!

Thank you Mark & Daisy for sharing your wonderful home with us! Casa Trahan was perfect in every way! Our group consisted of three married couples and we couldn’t have asked for more perfect accommodations! We couldn’t believe how much room there was! The condo is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and makes you feel right at home from the moment you step through the front door. And from there, it’s just views, views, and more views! We loved all the huge windows bringing the ocean right into every room. We also enjoyed the wonderful pool at the end of the day and had a great time snorkeling right there in front of the pool deck! It’s a perfect happy medium for married couples or families. Those who want to lounge by the pool are happy, while others can jump in and enjoy the adventure of the Caribbean Sea! The snorkeling was awesome! We have already started recommending Casa Trahan to our friends! We had such a wonderful time relaxing at the condo and exploring the island! We all look forward to coming back next year!!!

We just got back from two weeks at Casa Trahan on Cozumel Island, everything was fantastic! In fact, the photos don't do the condo justice. The condo is very well decorated, spacious and everything you need to make this your home away from home. Most mornings were spent drinking coffee on the balcony watching cruise ships arrive and taking in the gorgeous view of the ocean. Most days were spent at the pool soaking up the sun or snorkeling (the best snorkeling, we experienced, from the shore on the island). With a full kitchen on hand we were able to eat most breakfasts, lunches and a couple of dinners (fiesta at Casa Trahan) at the condo. So shopping at Mega or Chedraui for our provisions adds a unique flavor to our vacation experience. The condo is in a quiet location, yet close enough to town to be in the heart of all the action via a short taxi ride or a leisurely stroll. Whether you're going to just relax at poolside, snorkel in front of the condo, partake in one of the many excursions on or off Cozumel (ATV'ing, Mr. Sanchos, Tulum & Coba, etc) Casa Trahan is a great place to base your vacation from. Everyone at the condo was very friendly, yet we felt like we were the only ones on the property at times and had the run of the complex to ourselves. The owners provided extraordinary customer service, including personal communication, when needed, and very helpful information about the island of Cozumel. In addition, they provided a list of restaurants, many of which we tried, and the food and service at all of them were wonderful. We highly recommend Casa Trahan, except the weeks we're there, LOL...
Owner response:Kev and Joanna, thanks for your comments! You love what we love about Cozumel. Beyond the beaches, and diving....it's the people. Glad our place fit your needs. Come back and visit again! Send us pics! Mark

We stayed in Mark's condo Feb 5 -12, 2010. The property was excellent for our party of 6 (3 couples). The views were just like the picture we saw on the vrbo site. Such a spacious place we never felt closed in. This is a five star condo at a very reasonable price. Senor Gonzales was extremely helpful with info on restaurants and places to snorkel. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Cozumel. We rented a vehicle and toured the island at our leisure. The security at the front door was reassuring and the men were very pleasant. We highly recommend staying this condo and enjoying eating out at all the great places in the city. We loved the freedom a rental of this type gave to us. We did whatever we chose to do whenever we wanted to do it! We love vacations ;in Mexico!!!
Owner response:Murry I am glad the 6 of you enjoyed yourselves! You guys were a pleasure to have. I know you love Mexico so come back and be one of our regulars! Thanks for your kind words.

Our family of 4 was scheduled to stay at Casa Trahan from July 27th through August 6th and due to a diving incident my wife and son had a little extended stay. First of all - Mark and Kelley are absolutely great and we really appreciate their hospitality and assistance. The accommodations were perfect for our family and I would highly recommend staying here. Overall what stood out and where do you start - the view, the space, the furnishings, the service, close enough to town - how about it all of the above. We plan to be back as soon as possible. Thanks again Mark and Kelley.

The two of us stayed at Casa Trahan from June 28-July 4,2009. This is one of the best condos we have ever rented and we travel quite a bit. The Marazul Complex is small, only 16 units, and Casa Trahan is huge. The location on the northern end of the island was just perfect. Far enough away from the crowds but close enough to town by taxi. The views were to die for. Waking up in the Master Bedroom and looking out of the floor to ceiling windows at the beautiful blue/green ocean was a wonderful way to start the day. Made you feel like you were on a cruise ship at sea. We had coffee every morning on the large balcony and watched the cruise ships come in and the fisherman and divers go out. The pool area was so relaxing and most of the time we were the only ones using it. Casa Trahan is very modern. It was spotless; everything was very well kept and fully stocked. We are already wishing we could go back again soon. Mark, you have a beautiful place to be proud of. Sherry and Michael Pearland, Tx.

Casa Trahan in Cozumel was absolutely the most relaxing vacation I have ever experienced. We visited for a week in June and had the place to ourselves! The condo was beautiful with awesome views, while we enjoyed the pool almost every day as well as snorkeling right beyond the pool. Whether it was following the impressive points of interest provided by sister Trahan or simply reading a book at the pool, while overlooking the ocean, the experience could not be matched. And I think I experienced the best lobster I have ever had in my life at Lobster House, Prime, and La Choza (try the kabobs). Thanks, Mark, for sharing your place. Great place to stay in Cozumel. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Everything was perfect---clean, quiet, and beautiful. I definitely agree with the comments about snorkeling with a buddy. The current was very strong while we were there. Another option would be to get out and walk back after the adventure. It was absolutely the best snorkeling on the island. We rented a car and snorkeled every where and nothing compared to the area in front of the Marazul. Thanks.

We have just returned from a fabulous vacation with friends. We celebrated our friend's 40th birthday, and she said it was the best vacation yet. The condo was so comfortable that it was hard to encourage everyone to go site seeing around the island. We enjoyed many meals by sunset on the patio, and didn't want for anything. We have enjoyed 8 trips to Cozumel in the past 4 years, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Many thanks to Mark and Daisy

We had a wonderful week at Casa Trahan, it was our first experience renting a condo and first visit to Cozumel...definitely something we will do again! The condo has everything you need to cook meals and create your favorite beverages to enjoy on the deck. After a day of snorkeling the view from the deck to of the sunsets and cruise ships was a highlight! It was very easy to get to and from the center of town. The guidebook in the condo was very helpful to find things to do in Cozumel. Thanks Mark!!

Casa Trahan was one of the most comfortable vacation rentals my family and I have ever experienced. The condo tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Mark sent a local Cozumel guidebook that really helped orient us and provided great information to make choices. The condo manager, Kelley, was very kind and made sure any last minute questions were answered and that we felt comfortable. I initially set up my laptop on the condo's wireless connection, but after about three days, there was no way I was going to be away from snorkeling out front with my first underwater camera. It was so easy to catch the ferry to the mainland to tour the Mayan ruins, Chichen Itza, of course, and one, Ek Balam, still open to climb to the top. After a brief visit in Playa del Carmen, we were aware that we had the best place to go back to every night for those gorgeous sunsets. In fact, the last couple days, we girls just didn't leave Casa Trahan, there's no reason to go anywhere else. Thanks Mark, we'll be back, must make time to see Isla de la Pasion up north a bit next time before we're hypnotized by the sunsets. --Pam, my Mom Pat, and sister Bettie.

This townhouse was better than a 5 star hotel! Immaculate, incredible view, great pool. The kids loved the pool, flat-screen TV, having internet access! We walked 15 feet to a great breakfast spot or you can enjoy your own coffee on the balcony watching the cruise ships go by! The location is perfect - far enough away from the " center of town" but close enough to walk or take a taxi into town. I would highly recommend this townhouse. We had an amazing vacation!

We just returned home from one of the best vacations ever! This was our first visit to Cozumel but certainly not our last. Our stay at your beautiful Casa Trahan made us feel right at home. Your unit is so very spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has top of the line stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. We practicaly lived on the huge balcony, that is when we were not scuba diving or snorkeling. The water is fantastic, gorgeous hues of blue and green, and the snorkeling right out the back door can't be beat!!We also loved the privacy your place had to offer. We are already counting the days to our next visit, thank-you so much for making our vacation a great one. We will be back! Any scuba divers interested in a great operator should look up Jeremy Anscell with Living Underwater, him and his crew were fantastic and we had a blast diving with them.Love Cozumel and Casa Trahan! Our family stayed at Casa Trahan for two weeks over Christmas 2008. I don't know where to begin. The condo was beautifully appointed with all the amenities that you could imagine (including pool toys). Not only was the condo great, the setting was ideal for evening dining on the balcony. Some nights we even managed to see pods of dolphins playing in the water. The snorkeling off the back was spectacular. Our family is heading back to Marazul for two weeks in March and we can hardly wait. Thank you Mark. Sincerely, Gary, Jackie, Reid and Missy McAllister

We stayed at Casa Trahan for a week in Nov 2008 and had the most wonderful vacation! This condo was meticulously decorated, even with little details like shells that others have found (but couldn't bring home to the US) while snorkeling, and it was so very comfortable. Our particular favorite was watching the sun set from the deck while enjoying a beer or glass of wine and we did this every night. We had such a blast watching the cruise ships go in & out of dock (did you know they can go in reverse???); they're so pretty at night with their lights on. The condo was so very clean, the sheets are 100% cotton (WooHoo) & the owners had the fridge stocked with beer & soda for our arrival so the first thing we did was put down our luggage, grab a cold one & sit on the deck overlooking the ocean. You can see Cancun in the distance…..We'll definitely be going back and we'll be staying at Casa Trahan. I never realized how many colors of blue the ocean had!Thank you Trahan's for sharing your place with us.

The condo is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The view is unmatched in Cozumel. From the moment we arrived were were taken care of by the property manager Kelly who called regularly to see if we were ok and needed anything. There was a chance of some bad weather from hurricane Ike so the owner Mark Trahan called to see if we were ok. I recommend this home to all that are deciding where to stay in Cozumel. You won't find better home on this Island. Thanks again Kelly and Mark for everything!

My family and I had a great time in Cozumel! The accommodations and Marzul Staff were better than excellent! Extremely Comfortable, Very Well Located ... we felt secluded yet convenient to everything. Spectacular views and some of the best snorkeling we experienced on the island. We will definitely be back and my friends will be calling you too! Thanks again!
Owner response:Awesome...yeah the snorkeling has been outstanding! Come back soon Bart!

We really enjoyed our stay at your place. We have rented many condo's in the last 8 years (we now find we won't travel any other way) and can say this was one of they nicest, cleanest and most accomodating. We liked being away from the crowds; views spectacular; large kitchen with all you need; spacious rooms! Loved being connected with free long distance and able to use our laptop. Little details like condiments; soap for clothes, hands, dishes, etc., showed generosity. Then of course Cozumel is one of the best places because it's an island, it's very safe and the people are friendly, plus we rented a car and it was not intimidating at all. We recommend snorkle stops at Playa Azul; The Money Bar; and Playa Uvas. Thank you and we plan on recommending your place to others!

My family (husband, 21 year old son & 15 year old daughter) loved your condo. Very spacious and clean, plus all of the modern technologies. Pool was great. We also loved how quiet it was at that end of Cozumel but only 5 minute cab ride to town. Mark you and Kelly were wonderful to work with. When we go back to Cozumel we will stay there and recommend it to friends. Thank You!
Owner response:Thanks Pam, glad you guys came, come back soon!

We stayed at the Trahan's condo in March 2008. It is very pretty and as comfortable as home. The bathrooms are very spacious and the patio is large with great views. We spent alot of time on the patio, lots to watch, and the sunsets are great! We had never stayed in a private condo before, and now I can't imagine staying in a hotel again. We used the wi-fi and the Vonage and it was great. The pool is very nice and the snorkeling behind the condo is very good, but the current is strong so I would suggest not going out there alone and without fins, it was fine for us but if you aren't real comfortable snorkeling it could be kind of intimidating. We spent about half of our time in town and on other excursions and only cooked a few breakfasts and 2 lunches at the condo. and the kitchen has everything, including condiments in the fridge. I also used the treadmill in the workout room, it was okay, but I was just happy they had a few pieces of equipment. Also, around the rocks surrounding the pool/sea wall there were dozens of crabs and a tide pool with sea urchins. We had agreat time and look forward to staying there again sometime. Thanks Mark!!
Owner response:Thanks Julie! Your remark on always swimming with a buddy is excellent. The snorkeling is great here but you have to be a good swimmer. Glad you guys had fun. Adios!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Trahan in March of 2008. The property is well kept and the condo unit nicely appointed. It was great to have that “home away from home” feeling! We had breakfast each morning on the patio while watching the cruise ships sail by. This was so RELAXING! In the afternoons/evenings we would set out for the beach or town to take in some of the wonderful local culture. Our dining experiences were all very good. A must try is the Key Lime Pie at the Lobster House – made from scratch by the owner’s wife. My husband found great snorkeling in front of the condo. Definitely would recommend fins as the current is pretty strong. There is no beach at the condo so you do have to walk / cab to nearby beach areas. This wasn’t a problem as cabs were easy to get…usually right in front of the condo or at the nearby Coral Princess. Typical cab fare (excluding travel to the “other side”) was $3-5 USD. The Wi-Fi and Vonage made it easy to keep in touch at work or home. Great for those of us who can’t quite disconnect! The condo had current pop-magazines and also some books for those who like to read. The dining guide was a huge help! Mark also was able to provide many pointers about vacationing in Cozumel. Overall, we had a GREAT TIME vacationing at Casa Trahan. We have been traveling to Mexico for 10 years and have only recently begun renting vs. the all-inclusive thing. Many told us we’d never go back to the all-inclusive after renting….we think their on to something! Book today…you won’t be disappointed!

Our family of four, including two boys ages 11 and 13 just returned from a week-long stay at Mark's condo in Cozumel. It's very spacious, tastefully and comfortably decorated and has absolutely everything you'll need for a fantastic vacation. It was nice to be out of town a couple of miles and we were often the only ones at the pool and hot tub. Snorkeling is decent right off the shore, but we are divers and made eight dives on the outer reefs which were of course phenomenal. The condo is laid out so that each bedroom has lots of privacy and it would be perfect for a large family or three couples traveling together. The views from the unit are stunning. I highly recommend this property.
Owner response:Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves! Congrats on your son becoming PADI certified..we look forward to your return...Mark

We've stayed at this condo several times and each time gets better. Beautiful layout that comfortably sleeps 6-8 without feeling on top of one another. Security onsite, as well as grounds people that keep the beautiful pool and landscaping looking perfect. All countertops are marble and all appliances are top of the line. Great snorkeling right in front of the condo with convienant steps right into the ocean. You haven't lived until you've enjoyed a sunset with a cervaza fria on the massive balcony while your music sets the tone for a perfect week.
Owner response:Thanks for the comment Kaiti, come back again soon. MT
