A tropical paradise! Enjoy a siesta in a hammock under the palapa covered patio or relax in one of the many lounge chair around the pool. Listen to the sound of water as it cascades from the little rock fountain into the upper level of the swimming pools. Enjoy dinner prepared on the outdoor grill and dine outside on one of the two covered patios.
Blossoms of bougainvilleas, hibiscus and other tropical plants adorn the garden and there are banana trees, a lime tree and a beautiful, large tropical shade tree. A privacy wall surrounds the villa, garden and off street parking area.
Our vacation home is furnished and equipped as a "home-away-from-home" for our family and guests. We accept reservations from vacationers who treat it as they would treat their own home. It's filled with amenities and extras our family enjoys and our guests appreciate, yet the rates are very reasonable.
With a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, for privacy we divided the villa into two totally separate and private areas. Each has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, it's own a living/dining area and a well equipped, full kitchen.
The location is ideal. Villas Topaz is in the popular Corpus Cristi residential area and is less than 500 yards from the oceanfront street. As you reach the oceanfront street there is a major grocery store (Chedraui). Turn to the left (south) and just a 5 minute walk away is Dolphinaris with a swim with dolphin program. Continue south along the ocean a total of 7-8 minutes away are 2 dive shops. Just a 15 minute walk from the villa is the public beach, Playa Caletitas.
From Villas Topaz if you walk north along the oceanfront street you will pass the new park area and a number of restaurants and stores. Within 15 minutes you will be at the downtown main square. Restaurants along the way include Prima's, Rolandi's, Margaritaville and Rock N' Java. You'll go past a Starbucks, Burger King and a McDonalds too. There is another major grocery store (Mega), the Punta Langosta shopping mall (with Carlos N Charlies and Señor Frogs)and a great many local shops.
Villas Topaz is best suited for up to 8 guests, but can accommodate up to 11. The bedding arrangements are flexible. There are 4 king size beds but 2 of the king beds can each be changed to 2 twins. There is also a double size futon downstairs and one of the sofas upstairs is a day bed with a trundle.

There are not only dishes, flatware and cooking utensils, but extras such as wine glasses and margarita glasses. There are grab bars in each of the showers. We have a fresh water outdoor shower, a dive rinse tank and two secure areas for drying and storing your scuba or snorkeling gear. There is special cushioning on the beds for comfort, two safes for valuables, a hair dryer in each bathroom, fold-away drying racks plus irons and ironing boards. Maid service is 3 days a week. Purified water for drinking and cooking is included. We even have a selection of pool and beach toys plus canvas beach mats and a cooler to take to the beach

- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : The downstairs 2 bedroom of Villas Topaz is more accessible for those who are handicapped, but there are some limitations. There is a small step leading into the property, a small step to the downstairs patio and a small step into the downstairs 2 bedroom unit. By request in advance, we can provide ramps for these 2-3 inch steps. All bathrooms, both the 2 downstairs and the 2 upstairs each have a handicap "grab bar" in the shower.
- Kid Friendly : We can provide a Graco Pack N' Play, a small crib for an infant, a high chair and a stroller, all at no charge, but please let us know in advance.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : Adults 25 and over and families with children. All guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.

- Cozumel is well known as one of the premiere sites in the world for scuba diving and the snorkeling is amazing. Kite boarding has also become quite popular on Cozumel. In addition there are small ruins to visit, glass bottom boats, a swim and dive with dolphins program, horse drawn carriage rides and a submarine ride. , Cozumel Country Club has a beautiful, Nicklaus designed, 18 hole golf course and only about 5 miles away.

Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island
After years of vacationing on Cozumel and a number of other destinations, it became clear that Cozumel has the most to offer. Prices are quite reasonable, there are flights direct to Cozumel from the U.S., Canada and England or guests can fly into Cancun if those connections work best.
Cozumel may be only about 50 miles from Cancun but it's a world away from the crowds and traffic on the mainland.
Cozumel is the safest place I've ever lived The weather is marvelous, there is world class scuba diving, great snorkeling and it’s a delightful family vacation destination.

The Unique Benefits at this Villa
The large, tropical outdoor area has a privacy wall surrounding the grounds, a two-level swimming pool and two covered patios. The location is convenient, maid serivce is excellent and our vacation home is filled with amenities. Guests have told us they really appreciate being able to use the 2 sets of washers and dryers on site, having free internet service and being able to make free long distance calls to the U.S. or Canada. (For those that bring a computer with a USB port, we can provide them with a magicJack unit for making unlimited free calls to the U.S. or Canada)
Our kitchens are well equipped and there are little things that guests appreciate like the grab bars in the showers, hair dryers in each bathroom, drying racks, having LOTS of ice trays in the freezers, wine and margarita glasses, the flat panel Sony TVs, our reading library and the large selection of DVD movies.
Caletita Public beach is right by the little lighthouse.

After living most of my life in Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas and Tyler) since May 2000 I have lived on Cozumel in a home only a few blocks from our family's vacation home, Villas Topaz. How wonderful to live on this beautiful island with sandy beaches, scuba diving, snorkeling and all around the island are the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. I have found my paradise. Cozumel is the safest place I have ever lived, the people are warm and friendly and the weather is fantastic.

We have been traveling to Cozumel for 18 years and have stayed in most of the accomodation types from beachfront resorts to apartments. I own a timeshare on the Island but prefer to stay here. Everything about Villa Topaz is top shelf with obvious attention to the little details that make a vacation special. From the refreshing pools to the outside palapa dining area it has become our home away from home. The outside dive equipment rinse tank and storage area is convenient, secure and well thought out. The beds are especially comfortable and the rooms tastefully decorated. The maid service is efficient, thorough and always with a smile. The management company quickly corrects any problems that may arise. One of the major disadvantages of all-inclusive resort stays is missing the wonderful dining opportunities available to you. From taquerias to fine restaurants there are many wonderful choices, many within walking distance. The fully equipped kitchen is a nice alternative if you feel like staying in and two large super markets are close by. Casa Topaz is a reasonably priced, extremely comfortable, well located choice for a family trip to Cozumel. We've already booked our return trip.

This was our 4th year enjoying the hospitality and the service at Casa Topaz. We look forward to our return each year and are never disappointed to find the casa just as great (sometimes even better because of all the niceties the owner adds) as we remember it. We look forward all year to our next visit. The staff are all very pleasant and efficient. The pool is kept sparkling; the garden is always tidy; the maid is thorough; there is always lots of pure water for drinking and washing. The laundry facility is a bonus; any problems are solved promptly and efficiently. This year has been a slow year in Cozumel for tourism. The economy and the reports in the news media have caused a lot of vistors to avoid Mexico. Our experience has always been one of welcome, safety and comfort. Our "home" in Cozumel is extremely secure and private. We have never experienced anything but hospitality and courtesy from the locals and our neighbours. There is always a friendly hello from all of the people we meet. There are many lovely restaurants within walking distance of the casa. Some are very basic while others are close to "fine dining" both in food and service. Something for all tastes.

So much better than a hotel. A beautiful double lot with with room to spreadout and relax. Both the house and the property are kept spotless. The house is amazing each level has 2 master bedroom suites. The neighbors and locals are extremely friendly. The locatiion could not be better; 1 block from the grocery store, a 10 minute walk to the square. The information that the owner provides you with in the house is spot on as far as restaurant reviews and such. This was our third consecutive year of renting this location and we will continue to do so, what more needs to be said.

Another stay at our own little piece of paradise. We've stayed at Villas Topaz on several occasions and will continue to make it our choice when we visit Cozumel. The ease of making reservations and the friendly service set the tone for a great vacation. The home is beautiful!! The rooms are comfortably furnished and very spacious. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need...blender, coffee maker, corkscrews, etc There are soft drinks and beer in the refrigerator when you arrive. The gardens and pool are exquisitely maintained and swinging in a hammock under the palapa with the sound of the waterfall into the pool will nearly make you want to stay home from the beach?? The maid service is wonderful...the place is always spotless. I can't say enough, except that I will be back!!!

This home has everything you could want in a vacation stay. Not only is it beautiful. It is designed to accommodate small or larger groups (there were five in our party). The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The pools (yes, there are two, one flowing into the other) are pristine. Maid service is daily except Sunday and is very conscientious. We had breakfast under the palapa. I listened to the fountain through our bedroom window at night, and we walked a very short distance to shopping. You don't even have to pack a beach towel because they're provided. It's obvious that the owner takes great pride in making sure guests have everything they need. We'll be back.

This place is fantastic. Mrs. Lasater has thought of everything. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is cleaned daily, secure parking off the street and oh so quiet. The appointments are all there..the A/C is as cold as you want it to be, the kitchen is full size, daily maid service, if there is a problem, help is only a phone call away. The internet worked flawlessly, free world wide phone service and the presence of a security safe keeps you from worrying about your valuables. There is a whole wall with TV, disk player, Books and Dvds if you just want to stay inside and be quiet. There is nothing not to like about being a guest. This place is a real five star bargain. Although this was the second time that we had stayed at Casa Topaz it was just as wonderful as the first time. We traveled with a group of friends and family and rented both units. They keep the property clean and fully operational at all times. We felt at home here because this house has everything that you would need to make it a home. The kitchen is fully stocked. The gardens are so relaxing with the pool and the small waterfall. The palapa has a table and chairs and 4 hammocks. Most of the time that we were sitting outside someone was in the hammock. Either reading or dozing. If you have come to Mexico to just relax you never have to leave Villas Topaz. It is also very safe with the surrounding concrete fence which surrounds that house. Our rented suburban was pulled in each night to be cautious but there really isn't any need since the area the house is located is very safe. The large grocery store is only 2 blocks away which is very convenient. Casa Topaz and Casa Tomas are both wonderful units and if you want to stay in town and experience Mexico like the people who live there stay here.

We had a great time, the service was incredible. The maid did a great job and was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the nice touches of having some beer and cokes available when we arrived, as well as the CDs, DVDs and books. We felt very much at home.

Thank you so much for the wonderful villa to stay in while visiting the island! We've stayed at Villas Topaz four times now and it's always the perfect place for us. We especially love the two level pool with the fountain and the outdoor dining area under the palapa. Our son (12 years old now) always enjoys the swimming of course! The location is perfect, being so near town with dining and entertainment. On the days we don't feel like eating out, we just go to the Chedraui grocery store nearby and stock up on food. Having the full kitchen is perfect for us! We look forward to coming back again. Thanks!
