A+ location in the heart of downtown next door to Hilton Hotel & Austin Convention Center. 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with classy, comfortable furniture, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and comes fully furnished. This is my downtown Austin second home and it's walking distance to everything in the downtown area including Alamo Drafthouse Theaters, hundreds of restaurants & bars plus the pride of the city - Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail. The outside photos here are taken from our front door. One can literally walk across the street and be at the convention center. The location is in the heart of downtown!!!
Hotel rooms are small, stale, and boring. Plus, hotels add parking costs. Call around the hotels downtown and find this unit is much larger, a real home, and less $. Keep Austin Weird is the motto of this city so take an opportunity to live in a home-type setting while being in this great city! This is a 2 bedroom with queen beds and 2 full bathrooms plus a sleeper sofa in the living area so it can accommodate 6 adults. Living area has flat panel TV with full cable (about 75 channels) and WiFi access. No car is needed if you want a pedestrian friendly opportunity but if you rent a car, then secured/gated parking (1 car) is available on site.
30 Jun 10 - hi Don,this is marilyn g. from england. myself,husband and two friends stayed in your condo for five nights last week. all of us thought the condo was perfect, the location was in the heart of town but surprisingly quiet.We can not find one fault with the condo and would highly recommend it,spotless,cool in the hot climate,equipped with everything you could want.Fantastic value,much better than a hotel room,we loved it .thanks again,Marilyn.

Hi Mr. Shirey,
I just wanted to let you know how well things turned out for us in Austin. The location for the stay was perfect, right in the "hub bub", could walk most anywhere without difficulty. One of the things I liked best about the Condo, was that it was so clean and totally ready for us. I traveled with my 92 year Mom, so at best everything was difficult. She was able to have her own bedroom, next to the bathroom, so this worked out great. Also, she was able to have her own space and rest when necessary.
You have excellent taste in decorating, simple but elegant. It felt like "home".
Thank you again for everything, it all went very smoothly.
Hated the humidity, but everyone was so friendly and helpful. That doesn't happen in California. Everyone was just so nice.

"Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your condo. The place was perfect. Our family of three came in to Austin from Cabo San Lucas so that I could have minor knee surgery. After the surgery, I needed to lay in bed for a couple of days to recover. The layout of the condo worked to perfection. With the full size kitchen we were able to stock up on groceries and not be forced to eat out every day. However when we did eat out, there were some of our favorite restaurants within walking distance. Also having the second bedroom allowed my family to sleep while allowing me enough space to keep my leg elevated while sleeping. We were also able to put our daughter to bed and stay up watching TV. If we were in a hotel room we would not have been able to do that without waking her up. We travel to Austin often to visit friends and family and your condo offers us a place of our own with lots of space and without the expense of a hotel. We will be booking again soon. Thanks again for everything."

Buyer Beware!! This has to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed. The management who runs this place does not know how to run a business and treat customers. Once you give them your credit card, it's over. The bathrooms have mold. You need to supply your own bath soap as they will tell you this is not a hotel. All of the floors are painted concrete. You are much better staying at the hotels in the area for the same price.
Owner response:VRBO Owners Beware! The floors are not painted they are professionally stained concrete which is very fashionable, much nicer than carpet. I was surprised at this complaint coming from a guest who is in real estate. The bathrooms are cleaned and scrubbed down Very Well with detergent and bleach after every check-out, there is NO mold in the bathrooms. What they are referring to is some grout that is slightly stained from normal use. We take great pride in our condo and provide excellent customer service. I responded promptly to their calls and text messages and met them at the condo to go over their complaints. And yes, I did remind them that this is not a hotel. We do not provide shampoo/ conditioner and body soap for our guest, but we do provide hand, dish, dishwashing & laundry soap. It became very apparent real quick that they are serial complainers and were just trying to get a refund. I’m sure they do this where ever they go. Bottom line is their complaints turned out to be just criticisms of the condo and how it was not up to their standards and expectations. We were very prompt friendly and courteous to these guests and empathetic to their dislikes. So to say we do not know how to run a business or treat customers b/c we would not give them a refund based on their lack of expectations is simply ludicrous. If they had a legitimate complaint we would have gladly worked with them to a fair resolution. If you want a hotel that provides hotel amenities then you should Not be on this website. The pictures on the VRBO website are very accurate to the condo..in fact, it’s presentation in person is much nicer than the pictures. We have been on this website for over 5yrs, if you read the remarks from our previous guest (and we have several repeat guests) you will find them all to be very pleased with our condo and service. We traveled to Austin for a little rest and relaxation. The location was perfect! We had a little snag with the key, but Stacey was right on it and immediately called me after I text her the problem. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting downtown Austin in a quiet neighborhood.

5 of us stayed here this past October when we came into town for a family wedding. The condo was immaculate. The location was perfect. It's a super short walk to 6th Street and most other downtown attractions. When we arrived our key was not in the lockbox (the previous tenant forgot to leave it). I called the contact number and someone brought a key to us within minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Came to Austin for a convention and the convention center is literally across the street so location couldn't be beat. Place had everything I needed and was way better than a hotel. only suggestion would be a TV in the bedrooms! Thanks

The description of the property was accurate. We were within walking distance of all the attractions of Austin - very convenient. We found the property to be clean, comfortable and well maintained. I am from the UK and was visiting relatives in Texas. We had a great time in Austin. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives.

We were on a 6-city tour showing off Texas to our cousin from the UK. We've never "done" Austin quite like we did this trip and I hope to repeat our experience. This condo location is perfect, literally everything is nearby. Our music-scene experience was truly outstanding, as were museums and the Capitol and the parks. We all came away with special memories. Don's condo is comfortable and clean and accurately described on the website. He has been great to work with. If you want the local flavor and special Austin memories, I highly recommend this property.
