  This condo is located perfectly to access all of Austin's best areas. We didn't even need to rent a car! It is well-furnished, and very clean. The amenities are all very nice, with super-comfortable beds, nice kitchen appliances, and very fluffy towels! The only complaint I have is that we were there over a weekend, and the courtyard area was very loud throughout the night and into the early morning. I am not sure what could be done about that, but it did bother my sleep a bit. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

  This property was an excellent choice for two couples. We did not arrived by car, and were glad that the airport bus dropped us nearby. We liked being in walking distance to all of downtown Austin and the buses. The kitchen seemed well aquipped, although we only ate breakfast in. Too many great eating options! The beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep. All was very clean. We were not bothered by street noise, but one night there were very loud party goers echoing through the interior walkways until early morning. We would recommend this to anyone. It was a great value!

  Our family of four spent three nites here recently. It served us well, mostly, being well located for our interests. The grout in the master shower is indeed stained, as one earlier reviewer pointed out, but the shower, kitchen and everything else was clean. The rental agent was efficient and the unit was entirely as described. What was not mentioned, of course, is pointed out by other reviewers. This building is so cheaply constructed that one hears every passerby, each flush of the toilet above, and everything happening in the street. I sleep soundly and had no problem with this. The dishes, pots, and pans are mismatched. A good cook will be completely turned off by the peeling teflon, dull knives, and chipped dishes; after all, this isn't a hotel! Linens and other washables are marginal. There is ample notice regarding the unit's parking space so having one's car towed for illegal parking is easily avoided. Alas, there's no valet; after all, this is not a hotel! In fact, the owner's description (better than a hotel) needs to be taken with a grain of salt. If you're sleeping more than 2 people, need lodging for more than a few nights, wish to cook some simple meals for yourself, and want to explore downtown Austin this may be the place for you. If you're looking for peace and quiet, service, a romantic getaway: not so much. A final word/question for the owner: would it be too much to invest one night's lodging to upgrade the cooking utensils and dishes?

  Owner response: Thanks for your feedback! The owner has purchased new cooking utensils, dishes, pots, pans, linens & towels. We are in the process of getting sound proof screens for the windows to help with the outside noise. Thank you, Management.

  This condo has a great location. We were able to walk to many attractions such as Congress Street and the Capital Building. In the center of the entertainment area but on a quiet street. Public transportation and taxis are readily available. Everything was provided except shampoo which was fine. Would stay there again if in Austin.

  This review would definitely be rated as Excellent if we had not received a $190.00 towing bill on top of having to pay a taxi ride charge of $35.00 to get to the towing company. We were staying in condo XYZ so we parked in parking spot XYZ only to find out the next day that our parking spot was ABC and someone at the condo called the towing company to come get our car without knocking on our door to ask if we parked in their spot. Then when I called the person handling the condo rental all she could say to me is this was in your rental agreement and is also on a note on the back of the door inside the unit. The reason we are so upset about this is that this could have been avoided very easily. She sent me an email a couple days before we arrived providing the lockbox code for us to get the key to the condo (very poor directions on where the box was) it would not be asking too much to ask that something as important as where you to park because it was a different # then your condo# was mentioned when there is a chance you would get towed?? Or inside the condo place this important information next to the extra condo keys so you see this information and do not go out without reading everything in the condo because you are so excited to get your vacation started. Also the rental person was not empathetic that this happened to us--all she kept saying is it was in your contract, she did not follow up to see that we got our car back and no response back from my text letting her know how much it was going to cost us for the towing charge, not even I am sorry to hear this? The rental company was only a couple blocks away--a ride to the towing Co would have been a great gesture. I am writing this in the review because I do not want anyone else to experience what we did and I cannot imagine what a person would have done if they didn't have the extra money as the towing company did not accept credit cards. In regards to the condo, it is absolutely fabulous to stay at, in a great location. I would stay there again in a second if I did not have to deal with the same rental company/person. But I guess I learned a lesson in a very hard way--

  The price was certainly right and the location convenient to those wishing to partake of the clubs on 6th street or walk to the Congress Bridge for the bats and the river trails for walking, running, biking. It was great having a parking place because Austin is too big to walk everywhere. The place was clean and beds comfortable but the severely chipped dishes and mismatched "well-used" towels a turnoff. Good air conditioning but despite windows you'd never want to open one. Friday night was extremely noisy: endless sirens of police and fire engines, fights in the street, people vomiting outside the window, loud drunken parties returning to the large hotel across the street (and that's with windows closed!). The place would benefit from quadruple-paned windows on the street side. The furniture was comfortable but the dark decor and low ceilings made the place a little confining. Great kitchen, however, and definitely value for your money. More space than a hotel room which would have cost as much per couple as the entire condo did for four of us. The complex itself could use some TLC and is looking a bit worn. Tip: the recommended grocery store is nothing more than a fast, convenience store selling mostly junk food. Walk two more blocks up 6th street and go the the Royal Blue Grocery around the corner on the cross street that has a Starbucks on the corner or get in your car and drive down 6th Street to the Whole Foods Marketplace.

  The location was perfect - within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, town lake, hotels and entertainment. Nice kitchen area and baths but furnishings could use an update as well as lighting. It is somewhat dark inside. Also kitchen wear needs some additions remixing bowls, can opener, wi e opener. But over all a very good value
