Enjoy your vacation or winter retreat in a quiet neighborhood. The large deck is waiting for your first winter cookout, or just pull up a good book and enjoy the sunshine. Native vegetation reminds you that you are in the real Florida.
The home has a large kitchen, with plenty of room for two cooks, is fully equipped, and ready for your stay. Dine at the breakfast bar or seated at the breakfast table overlooking the front porch, OR a 4 person dinette is on the back screen porch. New furnishings complement the cozy feel.
Nestled in Time has a king bed in the master bedroom and a double size futon in the back room, and will accommodate 4 people.
Plenty of parking, leave your car and boat and ride your bicycle to town, only 6 blocks. Sunsets are two blocks away.
Cedar Key has natural waterways, great seafood, no high rises, no traffic jams-except when the locals stop in the street to exchange news and greetings. We invite you to join us for a weekend, week or month. Come for the kayaking, canoeing, nature walks and birdwatching. Ride a golf cart, a bicycle, or walk anywhere in Cedar Key, we are 'slower paced' friendly.
Boat rentals, bike rentals and guided boat tours are available in Cedar Key. Please visit the Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce for a directory of local businesses and services.
The Cedar Key Historical Society has a museum and a walking tour, and the St. Clair Whitman Museum is operated by the State of Florida. The Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge is a scant 15 miles, with hiking, fishing, and a 'drive by car' tour. Cedar Key State Preserve, 6 miles east of Cedar Key, on SR 24, offers bicycling, nature and horse trails and picnicking.
Other units are available. Please contact us! We can help arrange larger gatherings including a meeting room or rental hall, boat rentals, fishing guides or catering. It's YOUR vacation, let us make it memorable.

We came to stay at, “Nestled in Time” to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. What a treat! The accommodations were perfect. Clean, quiet, and located in a way where we could enjoy walks and bike rides. We have to put in a few “plugs” for some favorite experiences. Joe’s clam chowder IS the BEST. However, the “All you can eat” meal at Robinson Seafood was well worth the extra drive back on 24. Pastor Todd and the people of First Baptist Church Cedar Key were warm, welcoming, and clearly a Bible believing ministry. We hope to be back for another visit, perhaps during the seafood festival. Thanks for a memorable Anniversary weekend.

Really Enjoyed Our Stay
Really Enjoyed Our Stay
We really enjoyed our stay and the house was even better than we expected. It is perfect for dog owners. It was great walking our dog around the island a few times a day and taking her to some of the local eateries. This house is close to everything. You can walk, bike, ride ind a golf cart or drive your car. Everyone was so friendly. We definitely recommend it.

Where Time Stands Still
Where Time Stands Still
Loved this quaint cottage in Cedar Key. My husband and I brought our Boston Terrier, and he loved it too! Very much a pet friendly town, which is refreshing. They can go almost everywhere you do. This cottage has everything you need. King bed, Futon guest sleeper that easily sleeps two, sofas, nice well-equipped fridge, and a great shower!! We only stayed for a long weekend, but we had everything we needed and the cottage was very clean. Great breakfast/lunch places within walking distance of cottage! Also, don't forget to bring bikes if you can. You can bike to everything in town. No need for a car once you arrive. One thing you won't need is a watch, because when you are here, time is not important.

Clean, spacious, quiet
Clean, spacious, quiet
We spent 6 days in the cottage with our two Afghan Hound dogs. The cottage was clean, well supplied with dishes and appliances, spacious rooms and in a wonderful walkable location. We walked our dogs two or three times a day and enjoyed the convenient location. Would have liked to have a clock in the bedroom and better lighting at the front entrance step, but otherwise, we wouldn't change a thing. We LOVE Kona Joe's for breakfast and the Pizza place on 24, which has an incredible veggie pizza. Cedar Key is The Best Place for quiet R&R!

Manager response: So glad you and the beautiful hounds enjoyed your stay. Having the downtown location sure makes it easier for dog walkers. I will see about a clock for the bedroom, good idea, I just never pay attention to time, so I forget about it living on island time. The front steps lights will be addressed, sending the suggestions to the owners right now. So glad to have you! Please come back.
Exactly What We Wanted
Exactly What We Wanted
We spent 2 weeks in this house and we really, really liked it. The renter in the back did not prevent us from using the screened in porch with table for every single lunch and dinner we spent at the house. The property is quiet and sharing the laundry was never a problem. Perhaps the greatest asset in this rental is the rental agent,, who gave us excellent tips on where to eat, what to do and answered all our questions. The town couldn't be more laid back and our dog was welcome just about everywhere. We would very much like to come back to Cedar Key and this property will be the first one we inquire about. gg/kg Pennsylvania

Manager response: Why thank you! So glad you enjoyed our slice of heaven. Miss seeing Molly in the mornings, hope she comes back to visit and so does Miss B. arf arf Molly. The back porch is THE place for lunch and dinner. Hurry back!
This was almost as pictured. We were here for 6 weeks, too long this home. The bed would be comfortable for a few nites but not much longer. The neighbors directly behind us, meant we did not use the screened in porch plus we had to share a laundry and twice someone took our clothes out of either the washer and dryer and someone was smoking in there so our clothes smell like smoke. Generally the inside was clean but I had to scrub pots and pans before I used them.

Manager response: Norma: I'm so sorry that after 6 weeks in the house you were unhappy. Our housekeeper did take your laundry out of the washer and put them on top of the machine as she needed to do other laundry. I hope you find another pet friendly home for next year that will accommodate you better

A Good Bargain
A Good Bargain
We stayed for 3 nights in late March, 2010. The renovated cottage had everything we needed - including king bed, great kitchen and living room, outside ares to sit, and Dish TV. The bathroom was small, but adequate. If you are thinking of visiting Cedar Key, be ready for a very laid back environment. The locals are genuine and don't try to impress you, although they are friendly. The bars and restaurants are good ($1.50 taps at Cocunuts!), and there are shops and two museums to browse. We had fun renting a golf cart for a few hours ($20), across from the public beach, and drove it all over as we explored the island. It is a quiet, island village - kind of stuck in time. Not much there for kids, so if your kids are easily bored, go elsewhere, but it's a nice retreat for a retired couple (like us), or honeymooners.
