Casa Mimosa is a 5-star all year round holiday experience in the middle of unspoilt and largely unknown Abruzzo. The villa was completely renovated in 2007 using local builders and craftsmen to a high spec and now has all modern conveniences for your comfort. The 13.5 metre pool has Roman steps and a diving board and nestles into the villa's olive grove. The view of Gran Sasso - the tallest mountain of the Appenine range, is stunning from sunrise to sunset.

The ground floor of the villa is largely open plan--the kitchen, a fantastic setting for big family meals, with 3 sets of double doors opening onto a wide veranda, a cozy snug with a wood burner for the winter months (after a day's hard skiing in the resorts a short drive away!), and a well equipped recreation room for the children with games, books and satellite TV, etc. The ground floor is ideal for wheelchair users and has an adapted shower room for their convenience. There is a piano in the hall with a range of music for all levels!

This is a great location to serve as a base to get to know Italy. The city of Pescara with its varied restaurants, its miles of beautiful beaches and great shopping is 30 minutes drive. Rome is 2 hours drive, Naples and Pompeii - 3 hours. There are regular cheap flights from Pescara to Milan and other cities.

Abruzzo, itself, is littered with Medieval hilltop towns and villages, olive groves and vineyards--all well worth a visit. The local award winning winery just a few minutes drive from the villa is certainly worth exploring for fantastic wine!
