The Willows is a wonderful 4 season retreat to come and relax and enjoy Montana serenity at its best. We are located very near to West Yellowstone and 90 miles south of Bozeman, the nearest airport.
Our retreat offers something for everyone. Our home is situated at 6700 ft elevation on 12 acres. You will often see deer and moose grazing, coyotes hunting and Sand Hill cranes with their babies. Don’t be surprised if you see grizzly bear, black bears, buffalo or even wolves at this elevation. Take a hike onto the Forest service land nearby the property and enjoy wildflowers, beaver dams and many more types of birds and wildlife along the creek.
The blue ribbon waters of the Gallatin and Madison are within close driving range. You can watch the elk graze on the mountain nearby or travel to Yellowstone Park. Yellowstone National Park offers exciting vistas and a new area to explore every where you go. There are Geo-thermal areas with spectacular Old Faithful and other geysers and bubbling mud pots to breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Fish on the Fire Hole River or the Gibbon, or hike the many trails and or watch hundreds of buffalo and elk graze and nurture their young. While you are out exploring, plan a day trip to The Grand Teton’s and Jackson Hole just 2 1/2 hours away.
The small town of West Yellowstone offers fine dining as well as plenty of pizza and burgers. There are quaint book shops, galleries, and antiques for the shoppers in the family. Grizzly Discovery Center is also located at West Yellowstone along with a tiny theater, the wonderful live Playmill theater, and a state of the art IMAX theater. Big Sky is only 40 minutes N in the Gallatin Canyon and offers worlds class skiing in the winter as well as breathtaking tram rides in the summer. Book an exciting white water raft trip on the Gallatin River. Trail rides and mountain biking trails are all close by. In the winter take in miles of snowmobiling trails around West Yellowstone or travel to nearby Island Park, Idaho for more trails. At the end of any busy day you can retreat to the Willows to savor your adventures.
The Willows Retreat is nearly 4000 square feet of comfy solitude. The house is tastefully decorated in a north western flavor. There are sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people in 5 different bedrooms (1 king size bed, 3 queens and 2 doubles). Additional sleeping for 4 people is provided on the futon upstairs or on the comfortable double size hide-a-bed in the family room. There is a modern kitchen and a dining table that can seat up to 12 with additional seating on the nearby picnic table. You can cook up a storm outside on the cook deck on either the gas or charcoal grills. Two large gathering areas both include gas stoves to keep you warm on winter nights or chilly summer mornings. One gathering area has a TV/VCR/DVD with plenty of family style movies to watch as well as satellite TV to catch up on news if you choose.
There are plenty of decks and porches to enjoy the fresh air or to star watch at night. Listen for the lonely howl of coyotes and wolves or enjoy a hot cup of coffee on a crisp morning as the sun comes up. Play games (provided) over a bowl of popcorn and hot cocoa or nestle in a big comfy chair to read a book or just to watch the snow fall. No matter when you come you are sure to thoroughly enjoy your stay at the Willows!

Hello! I'm HeeWon , come here from Busan, Korea for exchange student. I come here with my host family for Easter Holiday. We had such a wonderful time! Snow fighting, skiing in Big Sky , Monopoly with whole family....oh! and cozy bed! I got rid of whole concern over school and bordom of everyday life. Probably this would be most pleasant weekend I ever had in U.S. Thank you so much for sharing this cabin. I can hardly wait till someday I back to Montana and enjoy this beautiful sight! Thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us! We had a great time from getting up early to watch 2 does and their fawns to going to bed after playing games, talking and laughing together. The beds were so comfortable. In between we saw Elk, Mooose, nesting ospreys, bald eagles, thousands of bison in the park! We rafted, fished, hiked, swam, and had a great Chuck wagon dinner at the Parade Rest. We are sure we only arrived yesterday and here it is the day we have to leave! We'll miss the wonderful views at every turn and the comfort of your home. It made a great vacation- exceptional! We even celebrated a 7 years olds birthday last night! We are leaving you with the mosquitos, but still hope to return one day!

What a wonderful place to spend a week with family! We came from LA, San Diego and Venice, Italy. We saw deer and sand hill cranes, lots of birds and so many beautiful day breaks and sunsets! We range from 8-89 so all the space and cozy spots around the house gave everyone a spot to be alone or together! Beautiful country filled our lives with joy!

WOW! What a gorgeous place to spend a few days with family from 4 states! The occassion was the 45th anivesary of our parents! We could not have found a more perfect place. The accomodations were spacious and adequate for all of us. We loved the decor with the wildlife theme. We appricated the extra touches, such as fulll cans of coffee! The views were spectacular and the weather was perfect!

We spent the week packing as much of Yellowstone and the Tetons into it as was possible! Amazing! We saw everything! Wolves, a moose, eagles, elk, deer, antelope, grizzly bears, black bears, buffalo etc! We drove many, many miles! We took hundreds of pictures and we walked thousands of miles - or so it seemed!
