Located over 2+ acres covered with aspens, spruce, pines. Out front view includes majestic mountains, nearby Lake Antero (best fishing Colorado 2007) and big valley rangelands. Enjoy the frontier feel of the lodge and built-in comforts. Many places to gather or spread out - 3,480 sq ft - with (4) indoor and (2) outdoor gathering areas, (4) attractive bedrooms and (3) designer bathrooms. There are:(2) floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces, (2) gourmet kitchens (one with island, one galley style) with breakfast/lounge bar and dining areas, picture windows, seperate loft, living, recreation and raised sitting rooms for family gatherings, wet bar, (2) jetted tubs and (3) dual-spray spa showers, custom granite, slate & Italian tiles throughout & attractive rustic & country decor. (3) warming pellet stoves provide real woodburning fires (5 total) to enjoy. 50/30 amp RV service & parking. Full wraparound deck w/ barbecue, partial veranda & loft walkout balcony. As of 2009 a propane generator has been added which operates automatically in the event of power failure and provides furnace, well, refrig, kitchen & lighting capabilities even when power is out. Items supplied: (3) mountain bikes, (2) PS2 for kids with (24)+ popular titles, About (12) popular family DVDs, many fishing poles & reels.

What to bring: Sunglasses, sunscreen, cameras, water bottles, gloves, snow & ski or rafting clothing, boots, and good socks. See local winter and summer outfitters to round out your gear. Booking deposit (aka 'hold dates') of $300 becomes security deposit which is 100% returned if mountain home is left as found ($125 of $300 is non-refundable if reservation is cancelled to prevent people from blocking schedule from other vacationers). There is a $99 cleaning fee for groups of (6) or less, the cleaning fee is $125 for groups (7 to 12), $150 for groups (13 to 18), $165 for groups (19 to 24). Groups larger than (24) considered, priced as agree case by case.

We're back from a great weekend at the Lodge!!! What a wonderful home... we had such a good time and couldn't believe how nice, spacious, fully equipped and relaxing the home is. The group was in agreement that we definitely want to come back and many were thinking about their own extended families for gatherings. So it was a big hit!!!

We had a wonderful time at the lodge of the Rockies. It easily accomodated our 3 families. We went whitewater rafting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and saw all the local attractions. The wildlife in the backyard was fabulous, as well as the lodge accomodations. We would highly recommend staying here. R & C D, 6/09.

We had 10 ladies stay there on our semi-annual girl's weekend and couldn't have asked for a nicer place! We have stayed in a dozen or so places over the years and this one ranks 2nd only to the $600/night place. Very roomy, comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms!! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with us so we didn't get to enjoy the decks, but being inside was nice because everything was so great! This place is definitely going on our list for a future stay!
