Soak up the sights while you enjoy Trastevere's quaint village atmosphere. Old world, offbeat, winding cobblestone streets, many restaurants and uniqueness make it a popular spot for visitors to Rome! The neighborhood abounds with restaurants, shops and sites. A few minutes walk from the apartment is famous Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, which welcomes all with it lively “all the world’s a stage” setting and beautiful church, believed to be one of the oldest in Rome.
The apartment is conveniently located just a few blocks from John Cabot University, one of Rome's most established study abroad campuses, making it a convenient apartment for friends and family who come to Rome to visit a student or faculty.
The sunny decor and bright terrace of the Dorotea apartment provide a comfortable and central location for visitors to the Eternal City. The apartment building is accessed off a small passageway with 15 steps off the street. Walk up the passageway to reach the apartment building's front door. The Dorotea apartment is located on the building's ground floor. As you step through the apartment front door, you are greeted by a clean, newly remodeled living room with round dining table that can seat up to four people, just beyond is a convertible sofa that opens up to sleep one person.
The bedroom is on the other side of the living room, separated by a partial wall. French doors in the bedroom open onto the sunny terrace. Touches of warm wood in the living room area with the dining table, buffet, and handsome wood armoire in the bedroom mix pleasantly with the modern sofa bed, bedroom area and lighting. The bedroom can be made up as two twins or a dual-king bed.
Beyond the living room is a doorway leading to the kitchen. The fully furnished kitchen is completely up-to-date with a convenient counter with two barstools for eating light meals. A delightful spot for a quick meal or breakfast.
Off the bedroom is the bathroom with bathtub with overhead shower attachment, toilet and bidet.
We've saved the best for last: the terrace! Step through the French doors off the bedroom or kitchen and you can enjoy sun-drenched days and balmy nights on the large, nicely planted patio. Furnished with a teak patio table and chairs, this is a delightful place to enjoy Rome's Mediterranean climate and savor "La Dolce Vita." Imagine lazy, languorous afternoons outside on the terrace.
This is city living so neighbors above can see you (and will probably be envious) soaking up the sun and enjoying meals al fresco on the terrace. If privacy and quiet are important to you, then this apartment is probably not for you. But if you enjoy a live-and-let-live atmosphere, then the apartment is ideal for exploring Rome and enjoying Trastevere's fun filled atmosphere.
