Tucked away on a quaint small street near the Trevi Fountain, Rome's historic sites are at your doorstep. The Archetto apartment has a bright top-floor position, roominess and good layout. It has both a sunny terrace plus a small balcony. There is an elevator.
Just a 2-minute walk to the famous Trevi Fountain you'll be pleased to find a real Roman neighborhood with bakeries, cafes, fresh fruit and vegetable stands, pizzerie, geletaria's and handy access to public transportation.
The apartment is located on the top floor of a small building on a narrow side-street,
With a coveted, sunny top-floor position the Archetto apartment delights with charm and comfort. The roomy living room is furnished with a queen size sofa bed, a single folding hassock bed. It has a large window overlooking the street, five floors below. The room's decor inspiration is the fresco painting over the sofa, painted in a bouquet of springtime colors. Bookshelves along the opposite wall hold light reading material, guidebooks, a few English language DVD's, remote controls, stereo, and flat screen TV. An upholstered chair, carved wooden armchair and coffee table complete the room. It's the perfect spot to while away an afternoon reading, napping on the sofa or enjoying cocktails before heading out to the bounty of wonderful restaurants that Rome has to offer.
Opening onto the living room is the dining area which seats four. It has French doors two steps up leading out to a Juliette balcony, also overlooking the street down below.
The entry area has an antique bureau, good for clothing storage for guests using the sofa bed, a handy coat rack, and a leather campaign chair, providing a cozy den-like reading area.
The bedroom and kitchen are towards the back of the apartment and are also accessed off the entryway. The bedroom has interior facing windows, it overlooks the backs of other buildings across the way, a huge bonus in the bustling center of Rome. It is a very quiet bedroom, although with the windows open you

Wonderful - loved the location
The Archetto apartment was wonderful – we absolutely loved the location, could not have picked a better spot – as you know, everything was so close. It was so nice to be able to quickly walk to the Trevi fountain at 6 a.m. To enjoy it without all the summer tourists! Also loved having the little restaurant beneath us, I think we went there nearly every day, if not for a meal, then for a drink or dessert on our way home. The accommodation was very spacious, the sofabed was big, and having a large dining room table was great to spread out maps and computer, etc. My only comment was that there was a little side table in the bedroom that had a leg taped together, so it was not very sturdy. Also, there was a melted ice cream/popsicle treat left in the freezer in the kitchen fridge. So nothing major at all. We appreciated all the instructions from you, and the literature left in the apartment by previous guests, and would not hesitate to rent from your company again.

No Stone Left Unturned
I would happily rent again with Italy Perfect. Excellent preparation for the renter prior to arrival. And if you are a first time renter, the amount of detail given makes it very easy...really no stone is left unturned in what you might need to know. Archetto accomodation was exactly as shown. The apartment is in a central location and very walkable...great bed and bathroom. Close to Fontana Trevi but in a quiet street. We never used the kitchen but it is very well stocked. Arrival in Rome by train...taking a taxi to the apartment is best. Termini looks walkable on a map, but is quite a distance. We used Stefano for a very early morning transport to the airport... excellent service and driver.

Great apartmentGuest comment entered by manager
We loved the Archetto apartment, very spacious and right in the center of everything. We walked almost everywhere. Only issue was that it is a little noisy. We were prepared for the noise from the restaurant. However, we weren't prepared for the nearby chiming bells which rang every 15 minutes. Not an issue during the day, but if you are already having a problem getting to sleep, was very bothersome. Earplugs helped some. Probably would be better with windows closed but since it was warm, often had the windows en. Otherwise, was great. Rosie, our greeter, was helpful and instructive. Best advice, is don't overpack. It's a nuisance to drag excess luggage over cobblestones. Looking forward to returning to Italy and would use Italy perfect again. Reply from Italy Perfect: Thank you very much for your kind review. We are so happy you enjoyed your location and stay in Archetto. Your observation about luggage is right-on. First time visitors to Italy are often surprised and delighted by the ancient custom of the ringing of church bells across the cities of Italy that used to be the only “clock” that people had. Sorry it kept you awake, so true, that when you are jet-lagged, sleep can be elusive. The church bells that ring and respond across the city are really difficult to avoid. Running the fan function on the air-conditioner is a good way to create some dampening white noise. We hope you will return soon! Italy Perfect

Fabtastically Fantabulous!Guest comment entered by manager
We just returned from a 25th Wedding Anniversary Tour of London, Paris and Rome. Staying in apartments, rather than hotels, was a decision we were glad we made for this trip. It was a great feeling to be a part of the local neighborhood and experience the culture at the roots of what makes each city unique and different from what we experience at home. London was our silver platter, Paris the cake and Rome the sweet delicious icing. At the very top of it all was the Archetto apartment! Pat and Lisa could not have made it any simpler for us to have such a "fabtastically fantabulous" accomodation for our cultural experience in Rome. Both were always there to promptly answer our questions and help us iron out all the pre-trip details by email and by phone. The only surprises we had were pleasant ones! The first being our ride into the city from Fiumicino with a wonderful gentleman in a very comfortable car. Recommended by Pat & Lisa and now by us. You really must use this transport service provided by Stefano and his drivers! Unless you thrive on dealing with the stress of negotiating taxi, rail or bus transport with all your luggage, use this very reasonably priced service. Our driver was awsome! Very professional and courteous without being stiff and impersonal. He pointed out several sites and locations into the city and even slowed down, a difficult maneuver in Roman traffic, to allow us a few camera shots on the fly. Arrival at the Archetto was another surprise named Rosie. Rosie made our arrival and familiarization with the apartment seamless and stress free! Her explanations of how to use all the amenities, and there were many to be had, were simple and precise. From the terrace to the Juliet balcony we had no difficulties with any of the appliances or features of the apartment including setting our own combination to the safe for our valuables. Rosie was "absotively posilutely" adorable! She even provided a welcome bottle of wine for us to enjoy during our stay. However, with the great central, close-to-everything location, we never got around to opening it. No matter what you want to see and do in Rome, the Archetto apartment is within walking distance of everything! Many shops and restaurants are in the immeadiate area of the Archetto. We found we felt "at home in Rome" at the Archetto in large part to the people, Pat, Lisa, Rosie and Stefano, that we had contact with before, during and at the end of our stay. ion

Great place in Rome
We loved our stay in Rome. The location was so great that walking to just about everywhere was easy to do. A wonderful clean and well equipped space awaited us when we needed a break from the energy of Rome. I would have no issues going back and staying there again.

Now Thats Italian!
Let me preface this review with the admission that I am a wanna be Italian and my stay in the Archetto allowed me to live out this fantasy. The floor plan was spacious yet intimate and freshly decorated with that Italian flair for design. Cool, clean and quiet and as stated in the description, the jewel of the apartment is most definitely the sunny terrace. I awoke early to enjoy my morning coffee and couldn't wait to return at the end of a delightful day of site seeing to partake in our daily "Happy Hour" on the terrace. The location was ideal, being only a block or two away from the lively excitement that is the Trevi Fountain. It's been five weeks and not a day goes by that I don't pine for my Roma apartment. As a sidebar, I left my camera behind, perhaps subconsciously looking for an excuse to return, and both Rosie and especially Lisa back in the us went over and above in ensuring my camera was returned in the most efficent and cost effective manner. I would not hesitate in recommending Italy Perfect and will most definitely stay at other Italy, Paris and London Perfect apartments in the future.

Exactly as shown and very comfortable
The apartment was exactly as shown and very comfortable. We used both patios and appreciated the air conditioning in the 34 degree Rome weather. We had been to Rome previously and decided to try the heart of the city on this trip. The suite is centrally located and you can walk to everywhere from it. The best Gelato and cappuccino was just around the corner of the Trevi. Beware of restaurants with employees standing outside trying to entice you in, especially the insistent ones. It usually means the food is not good and over priced.

Great, very safe, location in the centerGuest comment entered by manager
Great, very safe, location in the center
Great, very safe, location in the center of all the historic places and just right for fabulous walks, even for two 70+ year olds. Via Corso and Trevi Fountain just two blocks west and north. Very comfortable, roomy, bright apartment on the top floor (with elevator) away from the street noise but close to several colleges so lots of students in the neighborhood. Supermarket is 5 blocks away and is quite small, but adequate for snacks and breakfast things. Don't buy the bottled, bright pink, orange juice but DO buy fresh oranges to squeeze yourself. A treat to have a driver pick up you and your luggage at the airport (~50-60 euro). He will call your greeter for you to meet at the apartment. We were lucky in finding great guides after we entered museums -- or try the autoguides @ 5 euro each. We got our two cell phones (one IPhone, one very old Blackberry) to work in Italy, but did so before we left on the trip. Archetto's shower has a slippery floor. Wonderful musical theater a block away. Favorite Eating: Orso (somewhat difficult to find close to the Tiber, but wonderful appetizers are the meal); Nino's near the Spanish Steps; lunches, at just about any cafe where you can find a seat out of the direct sun, were mostly one shared very thin pizza (never eaten at home) and one shared, but interesting (loaded!) green salad + lots of wine followed by a nap! Fresh fish on Tuesdays or Fridays anywhere -- just look for the fish on ice as you enter a restaurant, and pick out something you've never tried. Plan to enjoy the slow restaurant service and people watching. Don't miss the 5 o'clock service at the Gesu Church, the Roman history museum (our only taxi ride), Via Pilota, Borghese Gallery. Start your day early when the crowds are smaller.

We'll stay again with Italy Perfect when we return
Our stay with Italy Perfect at the Archetto Apartment was wonderful. The apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. The apartment has been remodeled and is even more impressive than the photos we viewed prior to our stay. We especially enjoyed the relaxing spa like showers after long days of sightseeing! The apartment is located ideally for visiting the boundless sites in Rome and is very close to restaurants, shops, and a small grocery store. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service or the apartment. Also, our local greeter was just terrific and so flexible and patient with our arrival. We'll stay again with Italy Perfect when we return.

Home Away From Home
Spent time at Archetto apt in April 2013 with hubby and teenage daughter. Wonderful, wonderful location. Close to everything and easy to get around Rome on foot. Comfy bedroom, nice living area and convenient dining area. Great to have washing machine, but wish we had a dryer. However a dry cleaner downstairs and next door. Many wonderful restaurants and plenty of shopping. Restaurant downstairs a little noisey, but because weather was cool in the evenings we were able to keep windows closed. If you are an EXTREMELY light sleeper this might become tiresome. After a few nights we were fine with noise and actually enjoyed hearing all the nightlife downstairs. Would definitely stay again when we find our travel takes us to beautiful Roma!! ItalyPerfect was PERFECT. Recommending to all our family and friends!
