Our condo has one of the best and most convenient locations in Steamboat. It is located in 'The Pines' (rated excellent) complex and is right behind the shopping center which includes City Market, Walmart, Blockbuster, eateries, and various shops. It is also walking distance to The Ore House restaurant, Ski Haus, and other shopping. The FREE Steamboat Springs bus picks up at our driveway and delivers you to the Silver Bullet Gondola at the main base area in about four minutes, or to downtown Steamboat.
Our 'home away from home' is newly painted, carpeted, and decorated in Steamboat ambiance. It is tastefully furnished with hand made log furniture. This year we installed new windows and new carpet. We have all fresh paint and new window coverings. There is a comfortable queen bed in each bedroom. The beds are plush pillow tops, with 100% Egyptian cotton linens for your sleeping comfort. Both baths also feature luxurious 100% cotton linens. The bedrooms each have their own bath and are separated by the living area for privacy. There are two televisions. The one in the living room is an HDTV flat screen and the master bedroom has a LED flat screen. The living room and adjoining eating area are a very comfortable size to accommodate your group. Six people can be seated comfortably at the dining table. The kitchen is very bright and cheerful, with every amenity provided. There is a gas grill on the patio for outdoor grilling. Overall, our condo is very warm and inviting with beautiful views, and has plenty of space to enjoy your vacation. Maximum 4 people only, unless the extras are babies. We're sorry, but The Pines HOA does not allow pets. No smoking please.

My hisband, and my sister and I just returned from a 3 night stay. We all agreed this condo was the best equipped that we have ever rented. Everythin you need in the kitchen plus nice extras like coffee in the refrigerator, spices in the cabinet and lounge chairs in the closet. The unit was very clean and organized. Baths have body shampoo as well as lotions and good towels. We loved all the windows that actually open to enjoy the crisp mountain air. Dining table will seat 6 and the living room has adequate seating for 6 (1 sofa and 1 loveseat, small patio off living room. Bedrooms are a good size with lots of closet spaceLocation is convenient with grocery and liquor stor, and bagel shop just across the street. I would definitely recommend this unit and would stay again. No steps to condo or in the condo and close to parking lot. Also, the owner makes it easy to pay and provides good directions to unit. Our only complaint was that we didn't get to spend a lot of time since we drove up to Steamboat for the baseball tourney.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities.

About the owner: Gary and Julia Shaw live in Evergreen, Colorado. Steamboat is our favorite ski destination. We also have a condo in Horseshoe Bay Texas on Lake LBJ in the beautiful Texas hill country. Check it out at VRBO #344475.
Why the Owner Chose The Pines at Orehouse:
We chose our condo in Steamboat because our family loves the mountains, snow, and skiing in winter... and beautiful, Colorado summers. Steamboat is a wonderful mountain town, with real people, not just a ski resort with mostly tourists. We chose 'The Pines' over others(including ski in-ski out)for it's convenient location to everything. We like to walk to different places without having to drive or take the shuttle down the mountain. The grocery store is especially handy to walk in a couple of minutes.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love our condo because it's so convenient to everything in Steamboat. We love to conveniently walk to City Market, or the nail salon. Some mornings we walk to the Bagel Shop for coffee and breakfast. In the evenings, it's a short stroll to The Ore House, one of our favorite restaurants.
On ski days, we catch the shuttle right in front, and go straight to the gondola, and then hop on it to come back, after a great day of skiing. It's great to walk right into our condo, without climbing stairs. Gary is a fisherman, so he enjoys the short walk down to the river, without having to load up the car. The condo is warm and cozy in the winter, and light and airy in the summer. We have a large front lawn for the kids to play in the snow, or beautiful grass in the summer. We've been going to Steamboat for about 8 years now, and love it more and more all the time.
