Surrounded by a beautiful Italian Garden and overlooking the Bay of Naples this property offers stunning views of Vesuvio and the Sorrentine Coastline.

Villa Donna Elisa is located just a few steps from Piazza Tasso and Piazza Lauro, surrounded by a luxuriant garden in the ideal location for visiting Sorrento and the many itineraries for discovering the Sorrento Peninsula, the water shed between the Gulfs of Naples and Sorrento, with Punta Campanella, which separates the Sorrento coast from the Amalfi coast. Sorrento is very well served by public transportation, both by land, with the light rail line Circumvesuviana (train st. just 200 mt. from Villa), which connects with Naples in 1h., the excavations at Pompei in 1/2 h. an 1 h. and those of Ercolano in 50 min., and by sea, with the direct Naples - Sorrento hydrofoil (35 min.) and the Metro del Mare that, from Porto Marina Piccola (where the hydrofoils leave for Capri and Ischia), 0.5 km from the Villa, with numerous boat reaches Naples in 45 min., Positano in a 30' and Amalfi in 1 h.. The CTP buses for tourists provide a 24 h. connection between all main touristic points.Staying at Villa Donna Elisa you will be able to visit Sorrento and the surrounding area in a very relaxed way, having as a home base a lovely apartment just out of the noisy center.   • My family and I had a wonderful time at this appartment. The pictures on the websit do in no justice as it is 100 X better. Extremely clean, fantastic location and the owner downstairs is a lovely lady who is helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this property to stay at, and will stay there again in lovely Sorrento.

I can say without reservation that the Villa Donna Elisa is the most comfortable, spacious, convenient and, above all, beautiful places we've stayed. We spent a week here in April of 2009 and I would have been very happy never leaving the apartment.

  • We had a great week at Villa Donna Elisa in June of 2009. The two bedrooms are well separate, each with a full bath, providing lots of privacy. There are as well two sitting rooms and several patios, outside the bedrooms and living room, which are great for casual dining. But Elisa, the owner, is the real gift - she is a delight, taking care of details but never interfering. The villa is convenient to everything - a few blocks to the main parts of Sorrento and a few blocks to the train station. The train will take you to all of the historic areas around Mt. Vesuvius, or you can walk to the ferry dock for a high-speed ride to Naples or Capri. Ray

  • We spent 2 weeks in May at the Villa and could not have been more pleased. The apartment is lovely – very spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The view from the terrace takes in Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples and is very picturesque. The delightful garden is full of roses, lemons, olive trees and so much more. There are 2 lovely bedrooms each with private bath, 2 sitting areas and multiple terraces, which affords everyone some personal space. The main Piazza Tasso is just a block or two away. Everything you need is close by: restaurants, markets, train, bus and ferries. It is an easy day trip to Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii, Capri, etc. Yet when you return to the gated Villa, you are in a quiet oasis. Elisa herself is a lifelong resident of Sorrento who is very experienced in the hospitality business. She is gracious, helpful and available while always respecting your privacy. We highly recommend a stay here and hope to return again sometime.

  • What an idyllic spot! Villa Donna Elisa is a gorgeous oasis hidden just behind a gate from the lovely town of Sorrento. The two bedrooms are separated nicely for ample privacy and the decks go on forever all around, offering spectacular views of Vesuvius, Naples, the port, the gorgeous (and delicious) fruit trees on the property. Easy walk to Circumvesuviana train which connects to all the sights en route to Naples. Equally easy walk to town with many restaurants and shops available. Donna Elisa couldn't be more gracious and hospitable. The only thing we would like to see is a little better equipped kitchen-- I think most people don't care as they don't wish to cook on vacation but we do like to prepare some meals and the kitchen is a little lacking in good pans, functioning exhaust fan, etc. But still overall a heavenly spot and highly recommended. And great to visit off-season!

  • Villa Donna Elisa has everything you would want for your stay in Sorrento. The villa itself is spacious and well-appointed, with a magnificent view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The proximity to Piazza Tasso - Sorrento's center - makes walking a breeze. It is also very close to the train and bus stations. The gardens surrounding the villa create a wonderfully serene landscape. By far the highlight of Villa Donna Elise is Elisa herself!!! She is a kind and gracious hostess and we will remember her fondly.

  • We had at Villa Doña Elisa excellent time during the third week of July 2008. The locations is perfectly, the apartment spacious with the best views of the bay from the terrace where we had wonderful time at breakfast and some dinners overlooking the sea.   • We stayed at the villa in mid July 2008. We relied to a large extent on the comments of the prior tenants and we were not mislead. The villa has a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It is on the cliffs right above the marina. The gardens are wonderful and large. My husband and son actually worked out on the veranda overlooking the cliffs on several occassions. The walk to the city center is almost non existent it is so short. Sr. Elisa is very nice and extrememly helpful. She has traveled the world and speaks quite a few languages. The villa itself was spacious with all the amenities necessary to make a very nice stay. There are numerous balconies. Also the washer was helpful. Being in Sorrento was far preferable than Postiano or Almafi since there was so much to do with little or no climbing.

  • We stayed at the apartment with our family during the first week of July 2008 and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated and has 2 bathrooms which make it a very convenient place to stay. The kitchen is very well equipped. The terraces are spacious and offer splendid views of the sea and the beautiful garden. The location is excellent, very close to the city centre, but at the same time very quiet. Signora Elisa is a very kind and classy lady, a perfect host who respects your privacy. We would definitely stay there again during our next trip to Sorrento!
