  We loved Villa Linda, it's the perfect get away! The villa is very charming with lots of room for friends and entertaining. We enjoyed hanging outside on the patio and greeting everyone who walked by. If you want to get away from a busy, crazy and always connected world, then Pariana is your place. It was so peaceful, quiet, beautiful and perfect. It's like going back in time to a time where only food and wine matters. We loved all the walks around the neighborhood. We loved going to the local bar and meeting everyone. Danny, your host, has so much knowlege of the area, the places to go and everyting about Italy. His English is awesome, you can ask him anything and he'll go out of his way to help you. I would highly recommend Villa Linda to all my friends and family.

  We stayed at this villa with two other couples and found it to be quite spacious. The people of Pariana are very friendly and the owner of the villa had great suggestions for places to dine and tips on traveling by train or car. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. We used the villa as a base to travel around Tuscany. Florence,Pisa,Siena,Lucca,SanGimignano,Viareggio,Greve in Chianti.Cinque Terre were great day trips. Just save some time to drive the 17 switchbacks up the mountain.

  We stayed at the 2nd house of owner, older than Villa Linda, and in the middle of the 500 year old fairytale village of Pariana. Great hospitality by the owner, Danny. Spacious, clean, accommodates up to 8-10 people. The ride up and down the hill to and from Pariana can be daunting, but if you don't mind narrow, windy roads with blind hairpin turns, it is wonderful place to stay and get a real taste of Tuscan village life. Beautiful views of the countryside, and the townspeople are very friendly and helpful. Not much to do in the town, so you have to drive up an down the hill (about 10 minutes each way) to eat, shop, sightsee, etc. Easy access to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. It's best to take a train to Florence from Pescia rather than drive and trying to find parking. Pescia is about 15 minutes from Pariana, and train ride is about an hour to Florence.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

  We spent 12 wonderful days in Pariana. Villa Linda is clean and spacious. Danny is a great host and gave us many good sightseeing and travel tips. September is a very good time to go - a lot of wine festivals and less lines.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

  If you are looking for a authentic touch of Italy then come stay at this Villa situated atop of a mountain outside of Collodi.It is comfortable,tastfully decorated,and great staring point for several day trips around the surrounding countryside. Danny, the owner, makes everything perfect,just like his Villa. The inside pictures of the bedrooms don't really do them justice..they are better in person. The local townfolk were very friendly,as was the grocer and the barkeep.This Villa is someplace I would definitely return to and highly recommend it to friends & family!!

  This spacious house overlooking the valley is at the entrance to an enchanting ancient village at the top of the mountain range above Lucca. It is clean and pleasant, with fruit trees in the yard, a working kitchen, a lovely well-furnished living room, a sunny glassed-in eating porch, a large dining room, roomy bedrooms and every convenience. There is a big playroom downstairs and lots of sleeping accommodations. The location is a bit remote, yet convenient to drive to Pisa, Lucca, Carrera, Vinci, Florence, even San Gimignano and Siena and at a stretch, the Cinque Terre and Portofino. Danny, your host, is extremely pleasant and thoughtful, and he speaks excellent English so there are no misunderstandings.
