This luxury estate, "Antlers", is located on 2.5 secluded acres high above the city in the prestigious Upper Hillside area of Anchorage, and surrounded by unending views and wildlife. Nestled into the hillside, Antlers takes advantage of the awe inspiring 180-degree views that begin with the volcanic Mt. Redoubt, and span to include the entire Cook Inlet, Sleeping Lady (Mt. Susitna), the downtown Anchorage skyline, the entire Alaska Range, and to the north, Mt. McKinley (Denali) herself!
In an easy locatation only 15 minutes from the airport or downtown Anchorage, Antlers is also only one mile from the Prospect Heights trail head of the Chugach State Park, and less than a five-minute drive from the Flattop Mountain trail heads, Anchorage Golf Course, Alaska Zoo, and Hilltop Ski Area.
Antlers is a spacious three-story home with walls of windows designed to enjoy the vast Alaskan scenery, wildlife, and long colorful sunsets. As is typical of Alaskan homes, the main entrance and living areas are on the second floor and are designed for entertaining. The home has a large and well-equipped kitchen with plenty of seating, a half-bath, laundry room, and a large wrap-around deck with BBQ. Antlers has two living rooms, one with a cathedral ceiling and one with a fireplace and its own sofa bed. The first of two master suites is also located on this level. It is a spacious room with a desk, king bed, large closets, and a private bath.
The third level is a large and open loft area with a queen sofa bed and our second master suite, the airy "Bird's Nest." It has a king bed, vaulted ceiling, walk-in closet, reading alcove, and private balcony for taking in the mountain and inlet views.
Altogether, the upper two levels of Antlers boast almost 3,000 square feet and can comfortably sleep six to eight people.
Amenities include high speed wireless Internet access and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with premium cable. To ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one, a light breakfast of your choice is provided on the first day of your stay at Moosewood, and a complimentary bottle of champagne welcoming you to "The Greatland" is chilled awaiting your arrival. As an added luxury, all beds at Antlers are furnished with Nova-form therapeutic mattresses. If you have never slept on this type of bed before, get ready for the best sleep of your life. Many of our guests tell us that they have gone home and purchased these mattresses for their own homes after sleeping on ours for a week!

Hello, my name is Christine, and I am the owner and resident manager of Antlers. My husband, daughter, and I live in a private apartment on-site and see to the daily needs of our guests. We are frequently found outside maintaining the grounds, and are always available to give directions or recommendations to those who ask. I am an avid equestrian, and our large property is home to three of our personal horses. Most of our guests really enjoy being able to see the horses outside playing or being exercised. This will be my sixth summer living in Anchorage, and I can personally attest to the fact that there is no place in the world that can compare to Alaska in the summer! I hope you decide to stay with us, and I look forward to helping your stay be simply unforgettable!
