We stumbled across Seascape on the internet, made a reservation, and thoroughly enjoyed our week in Gulfport. Minutes away from just about everything Florida has to offer, this quaint neighborhood is like Florida used to be, but rarely is anymore, and Seascape is an important part of that offer. Don't miss a stay in a bit of historical Florida, in a historic home. You won't regret it. We loved it so much, we did a virtual tour for Suzanne, be sure to ask to see it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We really enjoyed our week long stay Seascape Cottage!!!! Very relaxing front porch to sit and watch/talk to people passing by, and watch activities at the marina across the street. It's amazing how they move those boats around!! Loved the light and airy feel of the cottage, the "beachy" decor, and the vaulted ceilings!!! It was great to have bikes for our use and laundry!!! Had fun riding on bikes to downtown Gulfport! Fort Desoto beach was great! The tropical landscaping was great to sit by and enjoy!! Great kitchen and bedroom decor. The only negatives were: a "not so firm mattress" in the master bedroom and the sinks back up in the kitchen when using.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Seascape Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The owners were quite gracious in trying to provide every amenity, even going the extra distance to provide a little food for us, as we were coming in late at night. The location is wonderful, with a view from the front porch of the bay. It's easy walking distance to the business area of Gulfport. I came under sad circumstances, but the owners were nothing but sweet in their care of us. The house itself is beautiful and restful, with wonderful interior design. I would stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a cute little town Gulfport is. We had never even heard about it before staying there, but am glad to find a new vacation spot. The restaurants were some of the best we have ever visited, and we loved the little beach with the nice breeze and white sand. It wasn’t even crowded and so peaceful! Your cottage is adorable. Thank you. Hope to be back soon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This cottage was a wonderful place for my fiance and our two dogs to get away for the weekend. The house is a short walk from the adorable little town of Gulfport, an artsy, lively beach town and an easy drive to some beautiful beaches and Ft. De Soto State Park. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, and the master bed was very comfortable. The house is on the small side, but was perfectly cozy for just us, and would work well for two couples or for a family with kids. We rated this house 4 out of 5 stars for a few small reasons. 1. Many of the dishes in the kitchen had dust and/or small dead insects on them. This wasn't a big deal to us as we wash dishes before use anyway, but might be off-putting to other renters. 2. The mat in the shower was also off-putting. I'd prefer a shower without a mat or a mat that is optional (in the closet if someone wants to use it). I was a little grossed out by the texture and it seemed old and overused. 3. The owners were present when we arrived at the house and processed my credit card on the spot. The process took quite a while and it was very awkward. I'd recommend doing this in advance or minimally communicating that this will be happening before people arrive. Obviously, these are minor complaints. In general, this is a wonderful place to stay. Close to many things, comfortable, and cozy. I would definitely stay here again in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Great stay -- during our two week stay at Seascape Cottage in Gulfport Florida! The interior rooms are so beach and cottage like. We were able to walk to all the events and music and restaurants. We walked to the beach also, only a block from the main street. The town is so quaint unlike any that we have visited. We were considering buying a home there and now are defintely searching hard to buy a home soon. We love Gulfport and will be back soon....for good. Thank you for such a pleasant time in your cottage.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husband and I were looking for someplace warm to spend the winter. I am a visual artist and he is a writer so we both needed space to work. We found Seascape Cottage in Gulfport was just what we were looking for. We loved the charm of the cottage and beauty of the surrounding gardens. We also were delighted to be able to walk downtown, stroll along a lovely beach, go out on the pier, visit the public library, mail a letter, eat lunch or dinner, all just a few minutes away.Did you find this review helpful? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seascape Cottage. Everything was just perfect... lovely decor, nice and quiet, bright and airy, and very clean. We enjoyed quiet naps in the afternoon, and walking down to Gulfport in the evening (or morning) for a meal or just to have a look around. We will definitely return if we get the opportunity!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I fell in love with the exterior of Seascape Cottage a little over a year ago on my first visit to Gulfport. On two following trips to the area, I hoped to rent it, but it was already booked. Luckily it was available during my Gulfport stay this August. The interior of the cottage absolutely lives up to its quaint exterior and well-maintained grounds...and downtown Gulfport is just a short, scenic walk away. I plan to visit Gulfport again in 2008 and look forward to another relaxing stay in "my" cottage.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
