My husband and son and I had a very relaxing weekend at the Loft. The owner was very accomodating and flexible about checking in and picking up the keys. The property is extremely well appointed and very spacious and bright. It is also extremely child friendly. My 1 year old had a great time running around and exploring. We had a great weekend and would definitely come back! Also, the Rustic restaurant at the Coppola winery was excellent and a great recommendation. Good for kids as well.

Rustic at Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a great restaurant. Nice you pointed out how family friendly they are there. Very good food at different price points too. Something for everyone.

Fantastic Aparatment in quiet Northern Sonoma town

We stayed for three nights in June 2010. Claudia's apartment is quite stunning and one of the most comfortable and finely appointed VRBO apartments at which we have stayed in the US and abroad. Claudia has thought of every possible need; we even found a cooler to use for our picnic! Cloverdale is a sedate little town. The apartment is downtown, which was a bit noisey early in the morning. Cloverdale also is north of the wine country and fine dining; each day and night we found ourselves hopping the 101 and heading south. The apartment, however, was great and Claudia is extremely pleasant and helpful.

Owner response:You were delightful guests, and it was great to get to meet you. While Cloverdale is sedate...this summer of 2010 it was voted Budget Travel Magazine's # 2 Coolest Town in The USA. So while quiet and subtle there is much to discover here. We have a very busy Art's Alliance that keeps us busy and an up and comming Preforming Arts Center. Fine Dinning and world class winery's just a short drive away. I usually hear that the Loft is very quiet, sorry about the early morning noise you experienced. We too find ourselves traveling the 101 for some of our needs, however it isn't much farther than across town in larger cities. I thank you for taking the time to comment.

This was one of the most charming places that my husband and I have ever stayed. Claudia was very helpful with all of our questions and extremely friendly. The loft was very clean and I will recommend this spot to all of my friends. The burger place that she owns has wonderful food also.

Great wine tasting get away

What a gorgeous place.Claudia should be an interior decorator. Comfortable and very clean. It was great being downtown Cloverdale because you can walk to many great eating establishments. If you don't want eat out, the place has everything you need to eat in. Right across the street was Cloverdale Tourist location, we stopped there and received several complimentary wine tasting passes along with a great map which helped us navigate all the wineries. We had a great stay and have no hesitation in highly recommending the place to others.

We really enjoyed the Loft -- it was the perfect retreat, and Cloverdale is so quaint and cozy. We ate dinner at the Thai Time restaurant -- it was first rate! Met a bartender from Cloverdale at the Bear Republic brewpub in Healdsburg who recommended the Hamburger Ranch for breakfast -- very good! We rode bikes 25 miles in the Dry Creek valley one day, then 25 miles along the Russian River the next day. What a way to see the wine country, and what a great time of year, during harvest. A wonderful experience -- if I live long enough and save enough $$, we'll be back. Have already recommended your place to several friends and acquaintances...

Dear Claudia, We loved staying in the loft. The beautiful decor reminded me of the style and ease of a Four Sister's Resort suite. Very classy and very comfortable. I would highly recommend your loft to anyone traveling in the wine country. Upon arriving, we had the good fortune to attend the music concert in the square. Our daughter loved scoping out all the street vendors and we enjoyed the BBQ food being offered. The event added a hometown touch that is often overlooked in other places. Thank you for the opportunity to experience Cloverdale with relaxing comfort.

The loft is a wonderful Oasis after a long day of enjoying great wine, delicious food, beautiful scenery and wonderful weather. Claudia has outfitted the loft with all the extras needed to make a get-a-way simple and enjoyable. The kitchen is well stocked so that guests can eat in if you wish to enjoy the quiet of downtown Cloverdale from the deck. No detail is overlooked to make this so much more than a place to sleep. The only thing to keep in mind is that Cloverdale is a bit north of the majority of wineries. We however, enjoyed staying away from the traffic of Healdsburg. The drive to wine country is literally minutes away so should not be a deterrent, but something to be aware of. We will be returning to stay again!

Thank you Claudia for thinking about all the "little" things that make a vacation rental just perfect. The care you put into decorating the loft made it so comfortable and enjoyable. The location was ideal for taking walks in the town and it couldn't have been more perfect for our small dog! This is a wonderful cozy and comfortable place to stay. I would highly recommend it and will plan on returning. It was exactly what we needed to get away from the big cities. A friend and I stayed in the loft during the last week of August. One of us is from Phoenix and the other from LA. Staying in the small quaint town of Cloverdale was a treat for us. We spent two mornings bicycling in the area, and then spent the afternoons wondering around the various wineries in that immediate area. There was no need to travel south to the Napa region, as the northern part of the valley has more than enough to explore. Plus it has a cozier more intimate feeling.

We recently stayed at The Loft while visiting the area and riding in the Wine Country Century bike ride. The Loft was lovely and very comfortable. Claudia was so helpful in recommending places to eat, but we loved the newly remodelled kitchen so much, we ate in. She also helped with a place to lock our bikes before and after the ride. The Loft is very close to sleepy downtown Cloverdale, and the biking in the area is unbeatable!! Spectacular views and rolling hills anywhere you ride. We'll definitely stay again. Marie

After a long and tiresome art show set-up in San Fran The Loft was everything we needed, and more! I can sincerely say that all of my expectations were surpassed. I had never even heard of Cloverdale. My partner booked the stay weeks ago (while The Loft was still under construction) and Claudia delivered beautifully! And, what's more My partner and I were the very first guests at the loft!! We will most definately be back. What a charming and meticulously crafted home. Claudia made us feel right at home and even left us an amazing bottle of Domenichelli 2005 Petite Sirah! One word. . . YUMMY!! I can't wait to taste the '06 Zin. The Loft is a true gem and a great value. I can't wait to return to it, and that precious little Cloverdale. XOXO, Inga & Shawn p.s Are there really dales of clover in Cloverdale? We recently attended a wedding in the Healdsburg area and stayed at this lovely vacation home. We had our 4 year old twins and found this property to be just wonderful. We were within walking distance of a couple of neighborhood parks that the children enjoyed completely. Eating on the porch with the warm sun on us, was a treat. There are wonderful views of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything that we could ever need. The furnishings were all very new and tastefully decorated. Claudia was very accommodating in helping us to schedule a babysitter and arrange transportation to and from the wedding. She also recommended a wonderful Italian food restaurant that we were able to walk to with the twins one evening. We will definitely be back and wish that we had more time to explore the local sights and wineries! Highly recommended!
