my husband and I, and another couple just left the condo, we moved to another condo for our second week (planned that way) in sosua. I miss the condo and wish we could have stayed there the whole time. I miss just being able to go out and walk the beach for miles or the fresh air of the ocean always outside. the condo itself with four people we were never triping over each other plenty of room to sit on the deck. I sure thought the wind was tiresome but now being in town miss the breeze. It is out of town but it was a positive thing we only went into cabarete once for breakfast but find martinis down the beach a short walk awesome food service and prices if we went out. We could easily get around by the dr bus or taxi or tours would pick us up to get to our destinations. the beach in sosua is awesome, quiet and can snorkel but we could have traveled there to do it, and stayed in this condo at cabarete. the pool was nice on hot days to lounge and relax and do a quick dip in the pool to cool off. Alot of readers there so it is quiet. the managers and their help were always helpful. the security was nice and friendly. the owners were always helpful with suggestions and recommendations even prior to our stay, and answered any questions as it was our first time to the DR. I will definatly recommend this condo to others.

I would recommend this superior vacation rental for all travelers coming to Dominica. Management was outstanding providing information, providing assistance, and extremely pleasant. Everything within the rental was extremely well kept etc..beds, furniture, bathroom, and a wonderful ocean view. I will return as soon as possible. It took me a while to find this location and I am so glad that I was able to stay at this wonderful rental. Management I want to thank you..see you soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was as advertised and the owner, Raymond, as well as the property managers were easy to work with. The property has a nice view of the ocean and it is very quiet and nice to be able to listen to the ocean. We often walked to town and back (basically every day and some times multiple times a day). The property is beyond town about 1/2 mile at the most). It is funny how the first time it seemed a little far (even though we are both active and athletic, but I think it was more a fact of not knowing what to expect when you are walking it).... whereas, by the end of the week, we were actually walking to and from kite beach. Neither of us tend to just hang out at the pool, although we did go in it briefly a couple of times. The pool is nice, but don't expect it to be a large "resort" type pool. Although this is fairly typical of all pools (from my prior experience and well as from us walking around) in the Cabarete area. The condo itself was great. It was fully equipped, much more than most condo's we typically exchange to through RCI, and included a small bbq grill available for use, washer and dryer, movies and boogie boards and a nice activities / restaurant suggestion book that they put together for guests. Although there is no restaurant on the property, we did find that Martini's restaurant (short walk the opposite direction from town in another condo complex) was very good and convenient (we went there a couple of times during our stay). Overall, it was a great experience.

My wife and 3 youngest children (21, 18, 16) and I just got back from staying 3 nights here, We wish we could have stayed much longer!! The condo is great, two large bedrooms, great kitchen and living room area and right on the beach. The furnishings and conditions of the condo are excellent. The beds were great! If anything, it's better than the photos! Some mention the lack of hot water, but once you look at the water heater and plan ahead, it's fine. We didn't have an issue with our family of 5. We loved Cabarete - large enough to experience some of the tourist things in town and to have great places to eat, but small enough that you are not overwhelmed by all that comes with it. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to return to this beautiful island. We loved spending time and walking on the beach right in front of the condo. We also spent time in town at the beach there. We swam, bartered with the vendors, and went shopping. Between VRBO and TripAdvisor (to find places to eat - we loved Gordito's and Chichigua, both more on the west side of Cabarete), you cannot go wrong! We rented a car and had driven up from Santo Domingo. We highly recommend this condo. The owners and site managers were all great to work with.

We loved your beautiful condo which we enjoyed in November with our best friends. Everything we wanted was there. Beach, ocean, weather, withinin walking distance to the town of Cabarete, and especially all the comforts of home. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice quiet vacation by the ocean. Thank you very much for the opportunity to see a different part of the world.

We loved this condo! It was such a comfortable place to which to return after a busy day sightseeing, or just to hang around when we had nothing planned for the day. The grounds are lovely and very well-maintained as well. Very comfortable beds, and with both bedrooms having their own bathroom, the privacy was excellent. The location was just right - an easy walk into the main town of Cabarete, but far enough away that we weren't bothered by too much noise or activity happening at night. We would highly recommend this condo, and hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

We personally own a property in Puerto Plata but we were looking for a place where my 14 year old could skim board, and my 8 year old would be safe, without having to make it an "expedition" each time we went to the beach. This property was ideal for all four of us and the managers on site were the kindest and most helpful (so were the housekeeping personnel). The condo was decorated with a lot of taste (white/brown and turquoise subtle accents everywhere) and had all the utensils and appliances needed (even a washer AND DRYER: a luxury over there!). I see a comment about cold water. We never used the hot water since it is so refreshing (and not cold but rather "not hot") after a hot sunny day at the pool or the beach. Also, there are quite a few neighbors who live there year round and they all make you feel very welcome. We hope to go again soon!

I stayed at this Condo for 3 days and the accomodations were simply amazing. The ocean view from the condo was to die for. There are a number of restaurants in the area and if you decide to cook, there's a supermarket within walking distance.

The condo is spacious, bright, nicely decorated and completely equipped. The condo complex is well kept and safe. Your local managers are friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff always does an excellent job. The ocean is great, but because of the strong currents and the rough waves only suitable for good swimmers. We really enjoyed playing in the waves and walking on the nice sandy beach for hours. The local supermarket in Cabarete carries everything we need, especially fish, European style bread and fresh fruit. If you do not want to carry your shopping bags back along the beach, taxis are always available at very reasonable prices for the 5 minute drive. A day trip to Puerto Plata is highly recommended. The ride with the gondola and the view from the mountain top is awesome. If you are looking for a true beach vacation, this is the place to go.

This condo and setting are as beautiful, luxurious, and secure as the owner's description and photos indicate. The condo managers are friendly and helpful. A binder of suggested activities, tours, and tips is available in the unit and is also most helpful. Restaurants and shopping are within an easy 20-minute walk. Local transportation is readily available. I would definitely recommend this unit and would return in future.

The condo is beautiful, as well as beautifully decorated! We were also impressed with the location on the beach. There is nothing better then to wake up and go to sleep to the sound of the ocean. The neighbors were also nice, they were very helpful. overall we had a very good experience. If we ever come back to the DR again and not do all inclusive we def. would stay here again. Also we would recommend the property!

My wife and I spent the first week of December at this property and had a great time. The condo is tastefully furnished (clean and comfortable). All ementities are available. The Condo and the grounds are very well kept. The ground level patio offers a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. (Where we spent most of our time)The beach is great. The condo is located close to the downtown area (shops and resturants) but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. There are several great places for dinner and drinks in the area.I felt safe and relaxed all week and hope to return to the Victorian again in the near future. I would most definetly recommend this place for a great vacation *****

Our stay at the Victorian was very plesant. The building is new, has excellent security and helpful staff. The beach was nearly empty and I was able to kiteboard in front of the condo. There was one problem and that was that the pool was down for maintenance - the owner did advise us in advance and plans to compensate us for not having the pool available. The suite was nicely decorated and had all the ammenities.

We had the pleasure of renting this unit for us and some friends in April of 2009. It was beautifully decorated and very cumfortable. The staff treated us well and we always felt secure being in a secured and gated community. We also rented the unit next door, making the trip even better in order to seperate from our friends once in a while. We recomend renting here for anyone with a bit of adventure and freedom from the normal "All Inclusive" vacations. People of the Dominican Republic are very friendly and always make you feel welcome.

I'm a big fan of Cabarete and go many times a year, therefore can't afford 'luxury' rentals... But I felt like having something different for one night, though without breaking the back, and this unit was PERFECT!! All the unit is perfectly arranged, from the room, to the kitchen, to even the towels! Also, The view to the ocean is beautiful. The location is perfect for everyone: Far enough from the noise to get quietness, yet close enough not to miss any of the action! I regreted renting for just one night, it made me want to stay the whole time! I look forward to going back!

We had the most amazing vacation at your condo! Thank you! The location and people were great and we really found your condo to be very comfortable - you've thought of everything to make guests very comfortable - from the private deck chairs to the cappuccino machine. This is a very interesting tourist village. We met people from many countries and even tried kitesurfing. Thanks again.

This unit in Caberete was a great find! The beach and pool were just right outside the beautifully furnished covered patio. The proximity to town for groceries and restaurants is about a 10 to 15 minute walk with multiple choices. The kite surfing was incredible to watch and was just about a 15 to 20 minute walk up the beach. The quality and cleanliness of the unit was outstanding. We visited Samana (Bacardi Island) and Paridise Island; both have the turquoise blue water. Snorkeling was impressive at the Paridise Island with plentiful fish all with vibrant colors hard to imagine. The property manager,Peggy, went out of her way to answer all our questions and give us tips for our visit to Cabarete. I only wish we had stayed longer!

Owner response:Merci beaucoup Pierre! I will translate your comments for our English speaking guests: I stayed 1 week in your apartment as I wanted to do some wakeboarding. With the Wakeboarding School so close to your home, it was great and I had the best vacation of my life. Everything was perfect in your apartment, the view, the ocean and the property. Thank you for giving me the opportunity for this wonderful week.

My first time to Dom. Rep. and it was one to remember. I came here for a birthday celebration and it was just that. We enjoyed dinner at Jose O'Shay. The 27 Waterfalls was "outstanding" - a must see for all. Paradise Island was also a nice tour. The weather was perfect for our visit. It was very peaceful here and a great view. Friendly personnel - A Must See to believe! We will miss our little slice of paradise. Back to Washington, D.C. for me. (note, this was handwritten the Guestbook in the apartment.)
