Come to "America's Finest City," San Diego, and vacation in the Pacific Beach/Mission Beach and Bay area without paying a fortune!
I just renovated this adorable, very reasonably-priced house, in the heart of Pacific Beach within blocks of dozens of restaurants, grocery stores, shops, bars and nightclubs. Just 5 blocks to the ocean or 7 blocks to the Bay. The fenced yard makes this house a great place for families with children and /or those who want to bring their family dog along.
It does not have the view of a place right on the water but it doesn't have the price tag either! Just five blocks from the ocean, a pleasant walk or quick bike ride. Enjoy all San Diego has to offer in this comfortable 2BR/1BA house with forced air heating, oak hardwood floors, top-of-the-line queen bed, bunk bed with double/full size mattresses on both the upper and lower beds and an additional single chair-bed in the living-room. It has WIFI, cable TV, phone, DVD/VCR, VCR library of movies, TV in Master bedroom, laundry room, deck with patio furniture and gas BBQ, off-street parking and all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. Just bring your clothes, toiletries and toothbrush. Oh, and you don't have to leave that very important part of your family, your faithful pet, at home or in a kennel.
Only minutes away from SeaWorld, the world famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town with it's excellent Mexican Restaurants, Belmont Park and it's authentic 1920's wooden roller-coaster, SeaPort Village, downtown San Diego's GasLamp Quarter, the Convention Center and Petco Park.
Half hour from LegoLand, 40 minutes to The Wild Animal Park, 75 minutes to the quaint historic gold rush town of Julian, in the mountains, and another 30 minutes beyond that is beautiful Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Even Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm can be done as a day trip. Mexico is only 25 minutes away. If the usual tourist sights are not your thing, kick back and enjoy Pacific Beach's trendy boutiques and bars or its wide white-sand beaches and boardwalk that go on for miles.
You don't even need a car. Everything you need is within four blocks including grocery stores, shops, restaurants, bars, and both Mission Bay and Pacific Beach. Come and enjoy everything San Diego has to offer without spending all your money on accommodations!
Rent 2, 3, or 4 other units just two houses away for family reunions or wedding parties. Want to be closer to the ocean or right on the bay? Something more upscale? Please see my other VRBO listings or the link to my website.

My wife and I just stayed here for about a week and we loved it! The location is really perfect, there's a Henry's and Trader Joe's next door and its just a quick walk to the beach. We had a few perfect evenings of surfing followed by a quick stop at Henry's to get some fresh fish and then sitting out on the back deck and grilling. The house itself is really comfortable well taken care of. Its also right around the corner from all the bars and restaurants P.B. has to offer, but its still quiet in the house at night. We had a great time here and will definitely return.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

LOVED IT!!! The house was bright and clean, including kitchen, bathroom, towels and sheets. Great shower! WiFi was a snap. Noise-wise, we debated whether to stay here or a quieter area, but were so glad we chose to be in the thick of things, with a driveway to boot! In the summer with the windows open (we stayed in August) we could hear a nearby neighbor's party music (Fri/Sat only), but it didn't keep us up at all and closing the bedroom window shut it out. The only challenge we faced (aside from how to keep the heat from coming on at night) was fighting off the flies during lunch on the back patio (located just off the alley behind restaurants), but it was SO great to have a nice little private area all to ourselves for coffee in the morning, etc. The walk to the beach was mere blocks and this cute little neighborhood house was 1 million times better than a hotel, you actually feel like you are a local while you stay here, you only need flip flops! The young college-ish scene ramps up around 9 or 10, plenty of time for us thirty- somethings to have already had our fill of food and drink and be on our way for a nice evening walk :o). We really enjoyed the casual food at the Longboard a couple blocks up, we went back for seconds! (Try the Mahi mahi burrito, yum!). Ramone's on the corner is also surprisingly tasty, and open late! About NVR--You will not find better people to work with than Nancy or Jeremy! They are super friendly, customer- and detail-oriented, honest and responsive. We got everything we expected with this experience, the most smooth process I've ever had for a vacation spot. Jeremy was even getting married at that time and still able to take care of us without delay. Congrats and Thank you!!!

We had a great time at 1211 Felspar. Everything we could need was available to us. We most enjoyed using the bicycles provided. The house is very cozy and it is great having the enclosed yard. The proximity to stores and restaurants makes this property our go to place when visiting San Diego.

I just returned from a wonderful, relaxing stay at your 1211 Felspar property. The house and yard are very well maintained and clean, with every item needed for a great vacation right there-nice linens and towels, a well equipped kitchen, gas grill, dvd player, comfortable furniture, even bicycles! The location is especially nice, really close to Trader Joe's and Henry's and a short walk to the beach and many great restaurants and shops. I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was clean and generally well maintained and although we did have one minor maintanence issue, when we reported it, Nancy was very responsivie and took care of it immediately. I enjoyed taking daily walks from the house to the beach and along the seashore. The house is very conveniently located with Trader Joes and Henry's Market Place less than a block away, and it was also within walking distance to several good restaurants, including Nicks Seafood. We liked the fact that it was a central location for trips to Seaworld, the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park. We would highly recommend it and would gladly return for our next vacation.

We had rented this house for a nice vacation to show the kids the ocean for the first time. We live in Colorado. Unfortunately, a medical problem came up forcing us to cancel all our plans for the summer. Nancy and her staff graciously, and quickly, refunded our deposit. This great customer service will make this the first stop when we are able to plan another vacation.
