This charming cottage has 1 Queen Bed and 2 twins (or can be made into 1 King bed). There is a full kitchen and a paver patio with both park-style grill or a charcoal Weber grill near the flower garden. Looks out onto a well manicured grass courtyard. The full bath has a large shower with 2 seats.

~Boothbay Region Land Trust (BRLT) preserves over 1,700 acres including six islands protecting wildlife habitat, vistas, forests, meadows, wetlands, shorefront, and historical sites. Wherever feasible and ecologically wise, BRLT provides opportunities for public access. BRLT’s 15 preserves provide over 30 miles of hiking trails open year round, free of charge. BRLT maintains cache sites on ten of its preserves. We supply the maps to all.
~In Maine, by 1980, there were 71 lighthouses between Boon Island and West Quoddy. In the Boothbay area you can visit 13 lighthouses . When checking in to the Boothbay Resort you will receive your Welcome Book with a list of all of the lighthouses, directions and a brief summary of each one.

~Boating...Tons to chose from: Sailing- small or large, full or 1/2 day; Motor Cruise- out to Monhegan Island or do a Whale Watch, Search for the Puffins, Watch the local Fisherman catch your lobster and take it to the dock.
~Kayaking...rent or bring your own. We have plenty of parking at your cottage. Pack a picnic and paddle into a cove and enjoy your private beach.

~One of our favorite things on a hot day is Tide pooling. Hendricks Head beach or Barrett’s Park are 2 easy to find on our Boothbay Resort Maps.
~Burnt Island Lighthouse Tour. Take a ride out on a lobster boat style boat with Elaine Jone’s to visit a working lighthouse. Elaine has been doing this for years. She is full of information.
~Visit the Antique Auto’s at the Boothbay Railway Village. Go back in time for the Antique Auto Days in Boothbay. Always on the 3rd weekend in July.
~The Lobster Festival in Rockland is the 1st Saturday in August. We are just 50 minutes away.
~We have many lobster docks that you choose your lobsters from the tank and they will prepare it just the way you like it. OR, we can order lobsters for you and they will be delivered to you at your cottage. We have a lobster cooker on site. You cook them right at your picnic table. THE BEST!
~We are less than a mile from the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden’s.
~Columbus Day Weekend is a great time to visit. Fall Foliage Festival in Boothbay and the Pumpkin Festival in Damariscotta is always a great time. We are only 10 minutes away.
~Take a day to just hang out at the Resort’s pool and hot tub. Our pavilion is a great place to stay out of the hot sun and read or nap at mid-day.
~Thursdays 9am-Noon is our Farmers Market on the Common Green. A short walk from your cottage.
~The Region’s Park and Playground is also a short walk from the Resort.
~Campfires are popular at the Resort. Don’t forget to bring the makings for Smore’s.
~We have provided many Park-style grills at the Resort. Cooking outside...the best!
~Community Band Concerts on the Common Green and at the Downtown Library.
~Interested in Maine’s Boating Heritage? Maine Maritime Museum is just 30 minutes or 20 miles away in Bath.
~Our Maine State Aquarium is just 10 minutes away. Put your hands in a touch tank, see a blue lobster, touch a dogfish/shark. You will not be disappointed.
~Rainey Day? In our opinion, we have the best YMCA’s in the Country.
~The Opera House has an Amazing line up for Entertainer’s you will not want to miss.
~Celebrate the 4th of July with us in Boothbay Harbor. Fireworks over the ocean at 9pm.
~We are hopeful our Brewery will be up and running for Tours & Tastings when you arrive for this summer 2011. Since we are the 1st and only Brewery in the Region, we’ve had to cut through lots of “RED TAPE.” It’s been a difficult road but we are very excited to share this new endeavor with you.
~If you are a golfer you are in luck. Our Country Club is only 500 yds away. This is an 18 hole course with loads of fun but with a few challenges up it’s sleeve.
~We are so lucky to have so many Artists and their Gallery’s nearby. Arts 27 was created last year and their itinerary is getting larger this year.

About the owner: We are a small family cottage resort. Lori grew up on Barters Island and Win grew up on Southport Island. Lori's parents, Bruce & Georgette Lewis works at the Resort as well as Win's mother, Tancy. Riley and Cody Mitchell are their teenage son's that also work hard at keeping the resort looking so pristine.

This is where we grew up and we are very passionate about our community. Come enjoy Island living. Southport Island has a draw bridge that opens on the 1/2 hour. Now need for a ferry. Spacious custom built New England Cape, located on 7 acres with Pine Tree conservation for a neighbor on 2 sides. Large wrap around deck looks over the well stocked Trout and Bass pond. Very clean and safe to swim. We have also provided a canoe for your enjoyment. Sit on the deck and bathe in the sun, or find a shaddy area while enjoying cooking on the Weber gas grill and sipping on a cold one on the very large covered porch. Spacious living room with 2 sided gas lite fire place, dining room sits eight comfortably, huge cathedral ceiling, commercial eat in kitchen. Master bedroom suite is on the first floor the other 3 bedrooms are located on second floor. 2.5 large bathrooms and a laundry center. Lots of board and card games provided. Enjoy all Amenities at our family business, The Boothbay Resort. Also on site is the 1828 Vintage House Beer, Wine & Cheese Specialty Shop and our newest addition, Boothbay Craft Brewery.
