Our apartment loft in Fitzrovia is the ideal vacation rental in downtown London.

This charming furnished flat is set on the first floor (one floor above the ground) of a beautiful victorian house.

The building has been refurbished in January 2008 and host only 2 apartments.

This is an ideal retreat for a family with 1 child or just a couple looking for a central pied a terre with everything accessible on foot in a calm and safe environment.
We can welcome up to 3 guests with additional sleep in the lounge a top quality aerobed (Raised, Platinum, single size complemented by a memory foam mattress topper. VERY comfortable). But the apartment's lounge is not huge so probably better for shorter stays.

Our furnished apartment is composed of a cosy bedroom at the back of the flat away from any street noise, a comfortable living room/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen corner and a gorgeous shower room. Fully furnished (linens, towels, dishes). Just bring your suitcase.

Benefiting from 3 meter high ceiling graced by 2 large windows, the living room offers lots of light and a comfortable sense of space. The street is a mix of residential and office/restaurants. It is a narrow one way street and there is not a lot of traffic day or night.

Entirely redecorated and refurbished in January 2008, the apartment flows freely from front to back with smart use of every corner. With a real attention to details and providing plush and comfortable furnishings the flat is sheltered in a decor of wood and serene colors.

A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal for your cooking inspiration during your stay in our lovely flat. Spices, coffee, tea, cleaning products are also available. The kitchen is equipped with dinning ware and cooking ware for 6 persons.

For a quiet night at home, we offer an entertainment center which comprises colour TV a DVD player as well as a CD player and connection to WIFI Internet. We also offer a computer screen via the TV to enable you to check your emails.

If you come by car, there are public underground parking all around for a fee. Our street also provide a pay and display parking space which is rather expensive but there is a daily underground parking around the corner.
We are situated in the congestion charge zone which will cost at least 8 gbp/day.

We believe a car is not necessary as you benefit from a very central location with easy access to the Northern line (Warren street tube station) and Metropolitan line (Great Portland street) within 5 min walk. The Kings Cross and Euston train station are 2 metro stops away.

Regent park is only 6 minute walk away. Covent Gardens is 20 minute walk and Camden town and flea market is a 10 min bus ride.

Some of our unique features:
- Genuine bamboo floors throughout the flat
- brand new kitchen appliances and amenities
- Entertainment center and Hi-Fi: TV with Freeview channels, DVD Player, computer and Internet access, radio CD player

This was exactly what I wanted and needed. The apartment was well taken care of and was in a prime location. If you are staying for an expended stay this place is perfect. I will definately use this apartment again. The owner was always there to answer all my questions and the greeter Helen was awesome. This was I have to say one of the best vacations I have had.

This place was definitely smaller than what I had imagined but it was good. Location was great - walking distance to everything and it was a safe and quiet neighborhood. We liked how we had a washer and dryer, dishwasher and a stove. The cycles ran so slow but it was better than nothing. The walls are also very thin so you hear every footstep. I found that the shower was always too hot or too cold never warm. We had problems with our phone that were never resolved after asking a few times. Our phone would always die after about 15 minutes after charging for a whole day. We also took out the extra bed and found mold on one side.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

Owner response: I appreciate and thank you for your comments concerning our property. In our commitment to give impeccable service and offer spotless amenities, I can assure you that we take these very seriously. We have checked the beds but have been unable to locate any mold anywhere. What a shame that you did not think of letting us know during your stay. Had we been notified and given adequate time, we would have immediately attended to this (either by cleaning or replacing the bed). This would have saved you the trouble of putting this in a review and in all fairness, given us time to rectify the situation to your satisfaction. The same goes for the phone. Neither my manager nor myself got any messages from you concerning this trouble. I would have gladly pointed out to you the sideboard buffet drawer in which we keep the special lithium batteries that are needed for this phone. We always have spare ones. As you know, you rented an apartment in a Victorian house in the middle of Fitzrovia, the building dating from 1890's, it is not a modern sound proof condominium in a contemporary development. So perhaps you can hear footsteps of people coming and going. As there is only one flat above ours, I feel safe in the knowledge that it must have been limited. Well being of our guests is our outmost priority and with this in mind we also sent our plumber today at the property. We were relieved to be told that after running tests with the water pressure in the shower, everything seems to be in perfect running order with constant hot water. I fail to see what the trouble could have been with this. If there are anything else you need to add, kindly contact us directly, we would be happy to hear about any constructive criticism that would enhance the experience of our guests in our holiday home. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again and show you that we are always hear to help. best regards Katia and Mathias

My husband and I just spent a week in London in this flat, and it was perfect for two people! It had everything we needed, from laundry machines to a teapot that doesn't dribble. It was spotless when we arrived and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The chairs in the living room were so comfortable we napped in them several times. Bathroom was small but very well appointed, with wonderful towels. The wireless internet worked perfectly as well. The stairs up to the flat are indeed very narrow and a little uneven, so you need to watch your step. Also, this is not a quiet neighbourhood, there are always people walking past chatting and frequent carspassing, but we didn't find it loud, just sort of background noise with the windows open. The location was ideal, steps from Goodge and Charlotte Streets with excellent and diverse restaurants. The Green Man pub on nearby Riding House Street was our favourite! Five minutes' walk to two Tube stations will get you anywhere you want to go. We are already looking forward to coming back to this flat on a future vacation!

My sons and I just returned from a 6 days trip from London. We had a wonderful time and this place served as a wonderful home away from home. The flat is located on a quiet, safe street. This was of great importance to me since I am a single mother and I was with my 2 teenage sons. There were a number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, along with Sainsbury and Tesco markets. Being near markets helped economize in a fairly expensive city. The British Museum was within a 10 minute walk of the flat, along with a few tube stations, this made getting around London easy. Working with Katia and Jackie was a pleasure...

I stayed here in November and found the place to be excellent for my stay. My wife and I spent a week in this centrally-located flat and found that we could walk to Camden, Regent's Park, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, even Buckingham (We're walkers). This flat is located off 2 or 3 tube stations and off many bus lines, including several on Euston Street to the north that includes convenient night buses (as well as the N2 Camden bus). Everywhere you walk, you run into some place cool. There are little pubs in the neighbourhood, but it is mostly quiet at night. It was a safe neighbourhood, close to a college and was quaint, warm, and a fantastic place to stay. The English breakfast at the cafe downstairs was excellent and the neighbourhood has everything from Italian to Indian restaurants throughout. Having laundry and a fridge was very nice to have and saved us money in cleaning (luggage fees are harsh) and in food (we could get groceries amongst any of the 3 groceries in the area). The bed was very soft and the heat worked the entire time, which made this the most comfortable place we stayed on our trip. There were enough blankets and pillows for the both of us, and a very nice closet for our clothes. I was able to use the internet throughout my trip, and the owner was a pleasure to work with. She was communicative, got back to me in time, and was generally amenable to just about everything. This would sleep a couple very well, but any more than that, I don't recommend it. If you have any disabilities, the narrow hallway and stairs leading up to the place would be difficult. At times, the upstairs neighbour's alarm clock would wake me, but I was struggling with jet lag much more than that minor inconvenience. All in all, I highly recommend this place and if I were to stay in London again, I would try to book this place.

Spent two weeks here in September 2010. Found the listing info accurate and owner/agents easy to deal with. Felt safe in the neighborhood and found easy access to the Tube at Warren Street or Great Portland Street. Sainsbury's for groceries is an easy walk from Tottenham Court Road. Our only complaint was that we could not get the shower faucet to work consistently - even three minute showers were subject to ice cold moments, and the bathroom vanity has been abused by someone - perhaps maintenance issues. Otherwise, we had a great time here, we specially enjoyed all the up-to date travel guides. The box of London Walks cards was great! Thanks, Katia!

Owner response: Many many thanks for your comments. I am happy to say that the shower has been fixed (the culprit was the boiler) so the water is now consistently hot. I really apologize that this could not be done during your stay (notice was too short for our plumber). And yes, the vanity is worth a fortune but someone let water drip and damaged the front door (not that bad however). It will be replaced in due course. We are very keen on keeping our place beautiful. It is also our second home!

I just returned from London and staying in this flat. It was perfect for my needs. It was as pictured and described. The location was great – easy access to five different tube lines within a 5 minute walk. The post office is about a 10 minute walk and there is a post box at the corner. You can also walk to the British Museum in about 15 minutes. Nice size grocery store down on Goodge Street if you want to cook. A couple of tube stops south on the Northern Line and you are in the area where all the theatre shows are. The owner was very easy to work with and being able to use Paypal for the deposit made it nice. I took the Eurostar to Paris one day and the station is very close to the flat. Due to the early time of the day I did use the bus, but never felt unsafe walking in this neighborhood. Over all a great visit and a good place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.

By US standards this flat was tiny - but had every amenity needed, was well maintained and very clean. The only very small snag was we arrived at the expected time and no one was there to meet us, which was a bit disconcerting, but once over that everything was fine. The location is great - 10 mins walk away from Oxford Street , and just a short taxi ride from theatres, museums and galleries. there were even 5 or 6 restaurants within 30 m!!

I stayed in this flat during my recent week in London. It was exactly as shown and described. I loved it! I loved the location (just blocks from 3 tube stations (Warren Street, Goodge Street, Tottenham Court). I felt safe --- there were restaurants just steps away (loved Istanbul Meze)! Everything was neat, clean, convenient and quiet location. I would definitely stay here again!
